The food and service was fantastic! This was our first time having dinner at Rio's and it's now the best place we ever eaten at. We can't wait to return and try other delicious dish. Our server Lisa was amazing! She took the time to explain some of the dishes and was very attentive. She made our experience even better.

Me and a date were staying at Eaglewood Resort up the road and ran into some complications with the dining there. So I hopped on OpenTable and found Rio's. Reviews looked strong and pictures painted a decent picture. Didn't do it justice!

This place had an elegant and interesting décor, mom-and-daughter live music combination (we were here on a Friday night - probably a weekend thing), and a very knowledgeable server!

We ordered one of the authentic Peruvian appetizer samplers and were delighted with the quality; powerful, contrasting flavors all around. We split the steak platter, which features a Skirt, Tenderloin, and New York Strip. Ordered medium rare on all three and they came out perfect. The skirt left a lot to be desired, but the NY Strip and Tenderloin were top notch. Not the greatest steak I've ever had, but a great complement to the experience.

Overall, if you're in the area, this is a solid choice. As a city guy, however, I wouldn't say this would be worth a drive; you could find comparable food experiences in the city. But for the suburban foodie, this would be a welcomed restaurant in the rotation!

Rio's is a lovely restaurant for any occasion or great meal. We were celebrating a birthday but went for the food and live music. We had chicken and fish and really enjoyed the introductory appetizer. Service was great. We will definitely return; even for appetizers at the bar.

The soups are tasty and the appetizer salads are huge (enough for 3 people). I did not enjoy the dish I ordered, but I look forward to coming back and trying another one.

Food is authentic and delicious! Loved this place! Only thing is they had a live band Friday night and the music was insanely loud. Could barely hear each other at our table.

Overall enjoyed the food.Cerviche was very good. Restaurant only had three tables with customers (that had already been served) in the dining room (some tables outside filled) yet the server seemed to keep rushing us to order. There were plenty of other servers. The chef was on vacation we were told. With the outdoor dining the door to the restaurant was left open to the outside and I ended up with mosquito bites (I sat inside so not to be bitten as I have allergic reactions to bites). Before we finished our meal a different server (Steve) took over telling us Mike, our original server had to leave for a family situation/emergency. We left sooner than we would have as I kept getting bit by mosquitos and was uncomfortable. So overall the dining experience was okay, not stellar.

We had never been there before, so four of us went on a Monday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. There was only a few other tables that were occupied, and yet the (bar) service seemed slow... after ordering our wine we had to wait quite a while before it came (the same could also be said for refills), and our server never checked on us while we were waiting, so that was a little frustrating. Having said that, however, the food was fantastic and the serving sizes were more than sufficient (and we didn't have to wait overly long for it)....they have a very extensive menu so it wasn't hard for each of us to find something we wanted to try, and we were each pleased with our choices from among both the appetizers and the main meals. Only one of us was familiar with South American food (he thought it seemed very authentic and reminded him of his time spent there), so our server took the time to explain each dish before we ordered it, which was very helpful. All in all, it was a very good experience (not withstanding the wait for our wine), and I'll definitely plan on going back and would recommend it to others, although it's a little on the expensive side so I'll probably save it for special occasions only.

6 of us shared the assorted appetizer plate that (the one with ceviche) that was excellent. There is a wide variety of main course dishes that all look delicious and interesting. I had the grilled beef kabob as did others. Someone also ordered the Rio "lasagna" that was very good.

I will never understand why this place isn't crowded. Maybe it's because it was a weekday. I've been here a few times and have had great food and great service. I try to order something different each time, and have not been disappointed. This time I tried the Pollo Enrollado. The chicken was moist inside and crispy on the outside. That isn't always the case with a roulade, so I was pretty happy. The Peruvian fried rice was the perfect amount and was full of flavor. I will warn though, there were some hot peppers in there, so it was a little spicy when I bit into one. The overall dish tough is not too hot or spicy. I am looking forward to coming here again and trying something new!

Really good food. Had to send the wife's mahi back because it was way underdone (or a bad piece of fish). They remade it and it was excellent, although that was 15 minutes after mine had arrived (so we took it to go). Had the comped that, the night would have been perfect. I certainly want to try the place again.

It was badly lit and hard to see where we were sitting. Also, a suggestion for future events, make sure to keep your classic menu items on your custom menu because people enjoy these and you are losing customers based on not providing these as an exception. Our family was expecting to enjoy the classics, but was forced to stick to the menu only.

I am a regular and I love the food and options. Everything food wise is a rave. I know that everything is hand crafted and that is what makes it great. Service is VERY slow, you have to always looks for them, and they do not check back or keep you informed. They are great and caring but not PRESENT! Fix this, it is holding your restaurant back.

We drive 40 minutes here practically once a week and get the same thing every time. Their ceviche a los 3 ajies is so delicious. We are always trying to find good places to eat peruvian but no one does it better than Rios.

I am a local and I go to Rio's often. This night I was meeting my girlfriends adult children for the first time. They are very much into the down & uptown food scene. To say they where impressed would have been an understatement.

This our 4th time at Rios. The food is authentic and high quality.
Stereo was loud and hard to talk over. They did lower the volume a little when we asked.
The live music was Latin classics and enjoyed it very much.
We took a small table in the bar after dinner to allow them a chance to turn the tablle, however it took nearly 15 minutes to be recognized by the bartender. There was only one other couple in the bar so we couldn't understand why it took so long to get another drink.
Overall we had a very nice time and dinner.

It was a decent place. I RSVP'ed through Open Table for Valentines Day a few days in advance. When we got there, they started off on the wrong foot. They "lost" the reservation. Then they eventually found it, but said they had misplaced it because I hadn't held it with a credit card and pre-paid for the special meal for Valentine's Day. Nothing had been posted on Open Table about a special menu or about holding a reservation with a credit card otherwise I wouldn't have made the reservation. The guy hammered home that everyone else had pre-paid, but that he would be kind enough to accommodate us (keep in mind I had RSVP'ed) and find us a table. Had it not been Valentine's Day, I would have left. The entire night, I felt like I was an intruder in their restaurant after that remark, but I dealt with it because as much as I hate Valentine's Day, my date does not.

The "special menu" was really just a way to overcharge for a small portion of food- I was initially intrigued by the variety of their menu online which I unfortunately was not able to try because of the special menu. The portions were small, the food was "eh" at best including chewy steak (which was sent to us rare without giving us a choice on how we wanted it cooked- we are medium to medium well steak people). We didn't send it back, again cause I felt like I was an intruder at their restaurant.

So now for the positives. They had really good cocktail drinks including martinis- very good. And the waitress we had was real good as well. The perfect amount of attentiveness. Didn't come by too often, but checked in on us just enough that when we needed something, we could let her know. The ambiance of the restaurant is also very nice.

So overall, it was a visit that left us a little disappointed because we think the restaurant has potential.
