Rio Grill Ratings and Reviews
Jordon our waiter was fantastic . Ribs and artichoke great. Special swordfish very dry and just average and small piece. Would work to improve that dish . Swordfish can be so moist and yummy. Had a great time will return - just wanted to let you know about the fish.
Used to like this place - the artichoke/crab app was bland, the "fried" choke hearts had a cool center and were chewy. Cocktails took about 15 minutes to get to the table and food came out shortly thereafter. Chicken was good. Noise was incredibly loud. Won't go back.
I got the same greeting from the waiter that I got at McDonald's earlier in the week..."what do you want?"
So much for asking if we have been there or had questions on the menu....
Bread was literally thrown on the table.
Way overpriced for what you get.
Creative menu, a bit pricey but food was very good. I wish the prices of the specials would be written on the menu board next to the special. It would save time and be easier than asking the server for the price and having to repeat the prices when the patron can't remember them. The other change I would like to see would be to serve regular, plain, black tea. Not everyone likes what some view as the weird taste of the tea. Tea is ubiquitous on menus, how hard is it to make black iced tea?
Great food and service overall. Noise level is high so not the place for quiet romantic dinner. Loved the decor and menu choices. It was my birthday and they brought out a special dessert for me!
An earlier review about the paella as not having much saffron rice is true, but the flip side is that there was an abundance of sea food in the dish (more than I would typically expect) and the broth was superb. I'd definitely go again.
This is where we had our wedding dinner and have returned every year since. We have the same meal we did that night. We have always been very pleased with the service the food and the beverages. This year they made some changes to the dining room which I didn't care for, I prefer the white tables. It was disappointing that the beverage menu was not updated and we did not get our first choice of wine or beer. My husband had to make four choices before they actually had the beer he selected. They did not have the wine I selected either and I settled on their recommendation. In years past staff knew it was our anniversary and we're very attentive, this year it was ignored. I don't know what but something has changed but the food was fantastic as usual!
Jordan, our server, was inattentive most of the evening which would probably explain placing our drink order incorrectly, delivering cold food, and boxing melted ice cream in a to go container after we asked him to leave it out. My special experience was him calling me, "honey" . Awful.
Our server was exceptionally good. Quite attentive and willing to do what it took to make us happy restaurant guests.
We have gone to Rio Grill for many special occasions (anniversaries and birthdays, primarily). We like the chef's interpretation of Southwest cuisine. While our choices of appetizers, entrees, and desserts have always been deliciously done, this time the kitchen staff fell short. The restaurant manager had come to our table to see if we had been happy with our meals. We gave him some feedback, which he immediately took back to the kitchen.
Half way through our appetizer before our drinks arrived. Had to send one drink back as it tasted of artificial flavoring???
BBQ ribs tough and very sweet. Chicken was dripping with gravy. Food took way to long to arrive. Different servers throughout meal.
