Food was okay. Steak was amazing but prices was kind of steep for the food we got. Don’t get the chili con queso. Waste of money for velveeta. Great wait service.

Everything was perfect except that it was so loud that it was difficult to converse with our old friend who we hadn’t seen for awhile. I don’t understand why a venue that encourages a social experience has to make it so difficult to do so. I would not describe it as “energetic,” I would describe it as unfortunate.

The Chili Relleno is my benchmark for Mexican cuisine. Rio offers a one or two relleno dinner.
The menu stated to try a roasted version, compared to the traditional deep fried. I order two rellenos and had one fried and one roasted. First time I every had a roasted Chili Relleno. I recommend it highly. Service was great and so was the margarita.

It was opening day for the Colorado Rockies so many restaurants were very crowded. So, we made a reservation at The Rio for our group of 7. However, when we arrived, we were told that we didn’t have a table.

We made our reservation 3 months ago and didn’t get seated until an hour after we arrived. Granted, it was Rockies opening day. However, knowing that opening day is always busy, you’d think they would have had more staff, as each waitress had nearly 10+ tables and drinks took ages to get. I’ve always loved Rio, and had been talking it up to my boyfriend who had never been, so I was very sad to bring him into a less than desirable experience there. :/

We were glad we selected the Rio for an impromptu outing with our college-aged daughters and their friends. They were able to accommodate our party of 7 quickly. It was a little noisy, but it was a vibrant scene full of a wide range of ages. Always love the value of their awesome margaritas. The Chile Rellenos are to die for. Great service.

Good food and great service. Waiter was very knowledgeable about gluten free options. Restaurant was very loud - difficult to have conversation.

This was the best experience I have ever had at this restaurant. I have been there before in the evenings, and the food was always somewhat bland, but this time was there for lunch and the same dish was very tasty. Also, compared to other places we have gone for business lunch, this was quieter so we could hear each other talking and it was a better value overall as far as cost for the amount of food you got.

Food is sub par maybe a step above Casa Bonita and that’s not a compliment. Very run of the mill Mexican restaurant. The location is the best part of this place.

Go to the Rio to hang with friends and drink some margs. You can find better Mexican food elsewhere, but the food is still good, and the environment is fun.

The food at Rio is consistently good. The service can be up and down, but is normally OK. Always ask for Doug - he is by far the best person there and if you can get in his section it will be fantastic. An, of course, have a margarita.

The food was average. Good but nothing special. What was impressive was the staff. Our waiter wasn't pushy or intrusive. He was very helpful and professional. We ordered a dessert but later found out they were out. Not only did the manager come out to appoligize but suggested an option that tasted amazing and even comped the desert because of the issue. I would definitely go back because of the amazing staff.

I have eaten here many times and have always had friendly, competent wait staff and great food. Atmosphere is noisy but fun.

Started out a pretty rough, but improved. Made a reservation for nine about a month in advance, and when we arrived, they tried to cram us onto a table witch looked be be designed for six. They didn't even have enough seats with backs, and brought two bar stools! The whole table looked improvised. I spoke with the manager and he graciously made some adjustments to seat us elsewhere at a standard table. From there on out, things were much better. When the bill came, the manager had taken $15 off for the inconvenience with the first table. Food was tasty, but the noise level was too high for our group's taste.

We had a 615 reservation and when we got there at 610, we were told it would be a few minutes, I mentioned to the hostess that we had play tickets and she didn't seem to care at all. We did not get seated until 630 and had to rush to make our show, there was no apology or anything. Very frustrating to make a reservation and be treated so badly.

On the bright side, the food and service were terrific. It's just tough to enjoy a special occasion when things start on such a sour note.
