Jade welcomed us right when we walked in and accommodated our needs to be by a television to watch the game. The food came fast and everyone was so polite. I will always recommend Rio Azul Mexican Bar & Grill to all my friends and colleagues. Thank you for making our experience great!! Special thanks to Jade too...what a great host!!
Average and unimaginative food.
The drag brunch show was classless and pathetic.
The talentless performers cared only to extract money from patrons in the quickest way possible.
Server was kind and well disposed.
The location has an air of grubbiness about it.
All rather sad.
We had a group of 8 on a Saturday night. Everybody really liked their food, a few favorites of the table were the Rio Azul Ensalada, the Fajita Ensalada, the Enchiladas Vegetales, and the Chimichanga. The salsa served with the chips was also really good! They had a good variety on the menu, and offered healthier options, as well as vegetarian. It took longer than expected to get our food, but the restaurant was packed and the chips and margaritas kept us busy while we waited. I would recommend and go back.
Great harp player and outside seating. Lovely place
Food was fabulous and very affordable. Definitely well worth a visit!
Friendly staff and yummy food!
Food starts out great with excellent chips and salsa. Our meals were also very good. Margaritas were generous but average at best, mix was off a bit. Comfortable booths, authentic service. Recommended.
THE PLACE WAS NICE AND CLEAN. GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND GOOD SERVICE. THE FOOD WAS GOOD, AUTHENTIC AND NOT AMERICANIZED. IT IS WAY BETTER THAN LAS CONSUELO'S WHICH IS A TOURIST TRAP FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT REAL MEXICAN FOOD IS. WE WILL GO AGAIN.
I made a reservation for 6. We were visiting from out of town and we picked the restaurant based on reviews from open table. I am not sure if the hostess was having a bad night but she was so rude and when I said something about her attitude she said you can sit at table 10 or leave all because I asked if it was possible to sit outside. Then when she heard I wanted to see the manager and after we were seated at table 10 actually they moved us because the table was too tight I would have left but we had someone who was diabetic and had to eat.our food server was very kind and helpful.?the food was average and it came out warm not hot. I will never go back or recommend this establishment to anyone and to anyone who will listen.
We had the best waitress ever! She was super attentive and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience on our vacation to Palm Springs!! 😀
Yes. It is a great place with very good Mexican food. Not the cheapest but we have enjoyed our meals there.
FANTASTIC! The best Mexican food restaurant in the entire Palm Springs area.
Joyful service. Authentic Mexican food. Excellent value.
The enchilada suizas was delicious.
Plates were very hot and food was cold
Outdoor seating on Main Street
excellent quality food and attentive wait staff al fresco.
While disappointed we were not able to dine outside, the service and food was great as always.
Good food at reasonable prices. Able to accommodate large groups.
Dinner was delicious! We went with two other friends, and had a great time!!!
This is the best Mexican food in Palm Springs. The staff is super friendly and the drinks are strong too. Try the combination with (the cutest) mini burrito if your eating lighter. Haha. You’ll love it.
We went to Rio Azul with a larger group for a work celebration event. The food was amazing as was the service. They also had someone playing the harp live who was fantastic. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great night out and delicious Mexican food.
Camarones rellenos is fabulous!!!
When my daughter and I arrived for our specified indoor reservation, we were led to a table in an outdoor seating area right next to a busy street. When I questioned them about it, I was told that if we wanted to eat inside, we would have to wait for an hour. They did not seem to care that they had confirmed indoor seating. As it was 7 on a Saturday, we ate outside and returned home frozen. The good food and mediocre service did not make up for it.
The food, service, and ambiance was great! We would not have found this place if not for Open Table. We would go here again!
We loved our waiter, food, and had fun time. Will come back again.
Another terrific dinner at Rio Azul! I recommend it to anyone visiting Palm Springs.
Friendly staff and very good Mexican food
Good food & very friendly, nice outdoor area, relaxed!
Food was amazing. Service was lacking, hard to find server. Portions were great. Prices were perfect!
Great food and service
Staff was very friendly. The guacamole was made tableside and the margaritas was tasty. There were guys alternating playing a harp. I would certainly return.
We love Rio Azul! Whenever we come to Palm Springs, this restaurant is a must. Tonight we enjoyed a lovely evening on the patio.
Great value and service. You can be rushed if you let them but they are happy to go at the pace you desire. Get the table side guacamole and the house specials.
We have been returning, again and again, during our trips to Pal
Busy place. Tight quarters. Predictable and flavourful food. Slightly above family dining experience. Plastic water cups and margarita “glasses”. Margarita was basically cheap tequila on ice. Fair value for the price. I would eat here again.
This is the second time we have been there in less than a week. I had their house special Camarones Rellenos, stuffed shrimp. It is so fabulous. Their margaritas are huge and very tasty. The fresh made at your table guacamole is excellent. My husband had two different entres both good.
This was our first visit to Rio Azul and we’re looking forward to returning. I will order the Poblano Sopa again— been thinking about it ever since our meal! Delicious and unique. This restaurant is a great find in Palm Springs.
failed to acknowledge open table reservation and open table accused me of not going to the restaurant.
Best food served by the most friendly wait staff anyway. Consistently our go to place in Palm Springs. No other Mexican restaurant compares. We call it “gourmet Mexican food.” A must place to try. Guaranteed to impress.
