LOVE! Great people, good food as always, this is a regular hangout!
Great food, service, strong drinks. Great value for what you get! Quality mexican food is hard to come by in PS but this was well worth it!
Always exceptional food and incredible service. I especially love and crave the salsa negra.
bad food. good vibe
Food is always great. Staff is friendly. Sometimes food takes a bit long to come out. Musician frankly can sometimes be irritating.
Food and service fantastic! BUT being July in Palm Springs the average daytime temp is about 105. The day we visited it was 110. The restaurant was hot as hell!
All the positives aside I will not be back if the place is this hot again...Either fix your AC or close for the summer it was agony.
Great tasting food as always. Friendly staff and excellent service.
Awesome food and atmosphere! Highly recommend for Tex-Mex lovers.
Great place! Always get the salsa negra! Please instal some cooling fans on your patio for the summer.
Carla is an excellent, friendly and attentive waitress . . .
Great food and ambiance. Enjoyed my Oaxaca Tamal and amazing margarita.
Our server Trey was fantastic! Food was delicious and authentic. We love everything from the chips and salsa, margarita flight, shrimp cerviche and beef enchiladas!
Good quality ingredients so always great tasting food!
We loved everything about Azul! The awesome fresh, warm tortilla chips, the salsa, the Mango Margaritas (were amazing!!!), the shrimp fajitas. Rosie, our server was awesome and so attentive. Would love to come back next time we’re in Palm Springs.
Was a good place. Small restaurant overall. Several large groups were there, so it was a bit noisy. My first time there so not sure if this is a regular occurrence. Food was good. Although I ordered two chicken tacos but did not realize they were basically the size of street tacos. So the price was a bit high for which was basically two street tacos and rice. But I would likely go back to try it again.
Delicious food! The Enchiladas Del Mar are the bomb!
Friendly staff & good drinks. I recommend!
Excellent service and food, and not noisy even on Saturday evening. At first we thought there was a trio playing; turns out it was a very talented guy playing the harp (you don’t see that in very many Mexican restaurants!). My only complaint is that the house margarita was a little weak.
Excellent service & great food!
We have been regular patrons at this restaurant for a long time. We have always enjoyed the meals and excellent table service. However on this occasion it was different. We noticed a different beverage list with price changes and changes to the dinner menu. We ordered the table side guacamole, which was very salty and a smaller portion served on a small oily flour tortilla. The tortilla chips were too salty and very oily with clumps of chips stuck together and when pulling them apart cooking oil dripped out. The entrees arrived just warm and not sizzling on hot plates as in the past. The enchiladas were floating in oil and the refried beans and Spanish rice were smaller portions. I think we will be looking for another Mexican restaurant in the valley.
Disappointed...very average Mexican food. Service was very good.
This dinner we sat in the bar. The main dining room had live music we didn’t know about till we were leaving. They make guacamole table side - best in the valley. Enchiladas was average. Good service. One of the better Mexican restaurants in Palm Springs
Jade welcomed us right when we walked in and accommodated our needs to be by a television to watch the game. The food came fast and everyone was so polite. I will always recommend Rio Azul Mexican Bar & Grill to all my friends and colleagues. Thank you for making our experience great!! Special thanks to Jade too...what a great host!!
Average and unimaginative food.
The drag brunch show was classless and pathetic.
The talentless performers cared only to extract money from patrons in the quickest way possible.
Server was kind and well disposed.
The location has an air of grubbiness about it.
All rather sad.
We had a group of 8 on a Saturday night. Everybody really liked their food, a few favorites of the table were the Rio Azul Ensalada, the Fajita Ensalada, the Enchiladas Vegetales, and the Chimichanga. The salsa served with the chips was also really good! They had a good variety on the menu, and offered healthier options, as well as vegetarian. It took longer than expected to get our food, but the restaurant was packed and the chips and margaritas kept us busy while we waited. I would recommend and go back.
Great harp player and outside seating. Lovely place
Food was fabulous and very affordable. Definitely well worth a visit!
Friendly staff and yummy food!
Food starts out great with excellent chips and salsa. Our meals were also very good. Margaritas were generous but average at best, mix was off a bit. Comfortable booths, authentic service. Recommended.
THE PLACE WAS NICE AND CLEAN. GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND GOOD SERVICE. THE FOOD WAS GOOD, AUTHENTIC AND NOT AMERICANIZED. IT IS WAY BETTER THAN LAS CONSUELO'S WHICH IS A TOURIST TRAP FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT REAL MEXICAN FOOD IS. WE WILL GO AGAIN.
I made a reservation for 6. We were visiting from out of town and we picked the restaurant based on reviews from open table. I am not sure if the hostess was having a bad night but she was so rude and when I said something about her attitude she said you can sit at table 10 or leave all because I asked if it was possible to sit outside. Then when she heard I wanted to see the manager and after we were seated at table 10 actually they moved us because the table was too tight I would have left but we had someone who was diabetic and had to eat.our food server was very kind and helpful.?the food was average and it came out warm not hot. I will never go back or recommend this establishment to anyone and to anyone who will listen.
We love this place. Food is excellent great margaritas and staff is very attentive.
We had the best waitress ever! She was super attentive and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience on our vacation to Palm Springs!! 😀
Yes. It is a great place with very good Mexican food. Not the cheapest but we have enjoyed our meals there.
FANTASTIC! The best Mexican food restaurant in the entire Palm Springs area.
Joyful service. Authentic Mexican food. Excellent value.
The enchilada suizas was delicious.
Plates were very hot and food was cold
Outdoor seating on Main Street
excellent quality food and attentive wait staff al fresco.
