The food was outstanding. Best steak and onion rings I’ve ever had. Waiter was hovering a little bit. We felt like he was trying to rush us a little bit. Definitely a high priced place but as mentioned, the food was fantastic.

Great service and very nice ambiance - felt like a throwback to 1950’s New York.

In all of the years I have eaten at Ringside I have never been let down, not once. The service is always catered to the customer, the ambiance is perfect (Lo key good music, low lighting, Ringside history on the walls etc.), and the food.?. They have the best Dry Aged Filet in the city in my opinion. Dont miss out, if you have never eaten there it is worth every dollar spent.

My steak came slightly undercooked, but they took it back and brought it back perfect as well as some prawns as a sorry. Other steak was cooked perfect. Both tasted outstanding. Pleasant atmosphere and great service.

We enjoyed celebrating Mother’s Day at the RingSide. We hope that management we take a careful look at having the server take the customer’s payment for their meal at the table. The server has enough to do in making sure that the customers are well taken care of. We like the Ringside because of the great food and service. We have been coming to this location since 1970.

Ringside never disappoints. I highly recommend the lobster mash potatoes and plan to share (at least the sides). Great steakhouse!

Still great onion rings and steak. But, wow, they are really pushing the price. And it didn’t feel as special (been coming for 50 years). A bit rushed and hectic. Are they resting on their laurels?

i was disappointed in comparing the fox ringside seafood to this one. on arrival we were asked to go to the bar and wait for our table (they were not ready for our reservation time). the bar had no seats . finally we found a seat. ordering was quick, our appetizer came right away but we did not receive our drinks until it was just about time to go to the table for dinner.

as far as the food, it is what is expected from an institutional steak house.....just fine. service, not the best.

Probably the worst waiter I have ever had
Steaks are good, but so overpriced.
Bread horrible
Onion rings, just ok
Soup French Onion- not that great
I would never go here again

Although the food was good, I was disappointed by the noisy atmosphere, corner table (waiter was constantly reaching over one of our guests), and the lackluster attention and customer service.

Fantastic steaks and service for the 20 years I've been going! In addition the valet is fantastic. Top 5 steak house experience anywhere in U.S. (yes, including NYC, Chicago, K.C., Dallas, and San Diego!)

The Ringside never disappoints. This date was for my son and his girlfriend for their prom. They were treated to the same excellent service that keeps me coming back. Best service in town- bar none.

What do you expect for $200? My favorite steakhouse is S/W in the Wynn in Las Vegas. So my expectations were high! I spent the same at the Ringside, $200. And was totally disappointed. Service was average. The steak under cooked. The size of the steak was smaller and cost more. I was glad I went, because now I know. I have to admit I like Sayler's a lot better. Better value and better steak! We dont mind paying for a good steak and good service. But, we were disappointed at the ringside. Now we know.

Excellent meal. Steak for my meat eating husband and a huge, delicious seafood Cesar salad for me. Lobster mashed potatoes were incredible, as was a wonderful Mille Fuille for dessert. Mixed drinks were very good. Spendy but worth it.
And the service was excellent as well.

Eating here is an anniversary tradition, mostly because it is so Old Portland and we are becoming our parents. Food quality has always been top notch and service generally good. However, the past few years service has slipped and the dishes have been "as expected" but not awesome. This time that changed. Service was very friendly and attentive and some of our favorites (creamed spinach, I know, I know, but it was GOOD), and replaced with new versions that were outstanding. Somehow it seems to have found a new spark and we may have to justify more reasons to return more than twice a year.

Ringside is TOP quality steakhouse ..in every respect. Appys, Mains, desserts, libations...plus excellent service. First time about 10 yrs ago. Been coming back ever since. From Vancouver, BC. Impeccable and polished...but also PNW cordial. Pride of Portland I should think. Recommended to all my AmeriCanadian friends. (Check out my state-of-the-eat Creme Brûlée)

Service was poor. Waited for a long time to order, to receive a drink, for the pepper corn sauce- we had to finally ask again and by the time we received it, we finished eating, and waited a long time for an after dinner drink. Worst service ever and it spoiled our evening!

Superior ingredients, but a couple lapses in service downgrade the experience. Server checked back after bringing salads; great, but after bringing mains, staff disappeared. We had to wave our arms and wait to attract anybody to tell them one of the steaks, carefully described when ordered, was cool and red, and not at all medium as ordered. They were gracious, but really, it's a steak house. Cooking as requested is expected. And coffee with dessert took a very long time. They kept coming by and telling us they were making a fresh pot. OK, but brewed for 20 minutes? All in all, a good meal, but we have had better service most times at this restaurant.

Although it is very spendy, once or twice a year is ok for me. I have eaten there for over 40 years and it has always been excellent except one time. That time the steak was tough and I told them that. They made it right. This last time the steak was the best I have had in many years. We will go back for another on another special occasion. Like I said it is very spendy.

Very nice place. Pretty expensive but that is standard for a steakhouse. We ate the supper special and it was more than enough food, and ending up taking some home. It was 3 courses and I opted for the salad which had a terrific French dressing. Surf and turf had a great seasoning and flavor, although I wish I could have gotten the shrimp grilled instead of fried. The dessert was deliciously sweet and creamy. It was our anniversary, and the waitress put forth extra effort to make sure it was a special meal!

Husbands birthday. We brought a very special bottle of wine and our server opened it like a real pro. Cork was soft and ready to crumble. Pretty sure I would have failed to open this magnum with any grace at all. Wish I could remember her name for a personal shout out. Thx!
