A classic steakhouse with great food, service, ambiance and wine list. The fireplace is also really cool! Everything was served to perfection. A real gem that I will definitely go back to
The food and service were great. Onion rings, soup, and bread were better than anticipated since we were anticipating. We will be back.
Excellent as always - excellent food and service. Enjoyed greatly😀
My husband and I had dinner here on Sunday night. Steve took excellent care of us. The filet mignon we both had was excellent. The mushrooms were also amazing. Nice and quiet. A bit dark, but in a cozy romantic way. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was very delicious!
We have been going to The Ringside for 30 years. It is better than it eve has been.
Food quality down...service was mediocre and prices way up. Too bad, used to be great.
P.S. onion rings still good
We were celebrating my father-in-laws 93rd birthday and he loves a good rib-eye almost more than life itself. We asked him not to look at the prices [this isn't his regular spot, needless to say] and order what he was hungry for. From his Jack on the rocks, to his wedge salad and rib-eye he had a wonderful birthday and was treated to a delicious dessert. He truly felt celebrated and that's why we chose Ringside for his birthday this year. The service was, as always, impeccable, and we will, of course, be back!
Great place for special occasions and quality dining! Cocktails are too small..
AWWSOME!! As always!!
This was the best steak I have had in a long time, tender and juicy. Our waitress Karen was great. Always checking back and never rushing us. A little spendy by worth every penny.
Ordered porterhouse steak medium rare. Steak was raw and was full of fat and was very chewy. Definitely not worth the money.
On the plus side the wife ordered filet mignon and it was cooked perfect and was very tasty.
Great place for special occasions like the birthday we were celebrating! My only complaint was having to wait 15-20 minutes to get to our table that we had a 7:45 reservation for. Otherwise, we had a very nice meal!
My wife’s birthday everything was great
Excellent all around!
Excellent food and service like always. The steaks were delicious. The tuna tarte was excellent. The salad was good as well.
Speakeasy of steakhouses bc you could walk right by the front door without even knowing there’s a restaurant inside. Then open the doors and everything changes with a great well dressed crowd enjoying the best steak in Portland. Oh, don’t forget to order the onion rings and upgrade to the lobster mashed potatoes for your side!
Good food, not great. Bread was wonderful, the milles feuille was not at all custardy. The server was very noisey and a little pushy. I had a birthday discount but it was only good for a fraction of the bill. Disappointed
every thing was very good but also very expensive. I have enjoyed better meals elsewhere for less. prices were just too high, even for a special occasion.
This place is very good. The service is amazing. The food is amazing
This is the standard for steak dinners. The service, wine list and quality is top shelve. There is energy here that keeps you coming back. It's top heavy on steaks but there are choices. Enjoy and Cheers!
Overall excellent service and steak was amazing.
The restaurant was perfect. Made a very last minute reservation and noted that it was our anniversary. Upon arriving, we were seated very quickly and tended to quickly as well. The waitor made the experience the absolute best. I wished I could remember his name but he went above and beyond for the special occasion my wife and I were sharing together. The whiskey was very smooth also! Would definitely recommend for any sort of romantic evening!!
Amazing Food! We had the Monday prime rib 3 course meal and it was awesome for $35. Not the greatest for small kids, but our 4y old did great and staff was very accommodating.
Great as always
It was wonderful - look forward to the next time.
Classic old style steak house, dark, Sinatra playing in the background. Service is impeccable, including valet.
We were seated promptly, in a requested booth. Sever was timely and attentive. Our meal was excellent, and all four of us found our meals to be well prepared. Server graciously divided our bill on request. Valet parking was very well handled.
We plan to return soon.
From start to finish the meal was excellent. Incredible customer service. Such great steaks.
We had a delightful and delicious dinner, served at a good pace with friendly and impeccable service. Always a pleasure to dine at the RingSide Steak House!
This was by far the best dining experience I have had in Portland since moving here in 1992!
The service and the food are impeccable. I love Ringside for special occasions.
Perfection. Ringside has by far THE best Portland Dining Month menu. French onion soup, steak and creme brulee for an astonishing $33. The food was excellent, the service exceptional, the ambiance delightful. Couple that with an exceptional bottle of wine ($20 corkage if you bring something from your own cellar) and it's an incredible evening. I can't fault the place at all.
A reliably excellent old-school Portland gem. Foundational restaurants like the Ringside are at continual risk in a very trend happy foodie scene and the Ringside continues to stay competitive with great food and comfortably elegant ambiance. They make the dining experience feel both important and special. Bravo.
The Ringside is our favorite steak restaurant in Portland and Karen is our favorite server. Ask for her if you go Sunday through Wednesday.
She is totally attentive, knows what you like to drink and is the best!
Love the Ringside for over 35 years. The food the staff and everything about the Ringside is memorable.
So nice to dine where service is impeccable, the food is great, and you feel like you have just had a true "dining experience." It is hard to find restaurants that offer a touch of class anymore, but the Ringside accomplished this forgotten trait exceedingly well. The food is on the higher end price wise, but they do offer a 3 course meal before 6:oopm that is of good value. When you add up the service you get and the great food, the Ringside would be hard to beat.
Great spot with old school steakhouse vibe.
We took advantage of Portland Dining Month to make our first visit to Ringside. The menu for Dining Month was outstanding showcased the quality of beef that they serve day-in and day-out. Just delicious and cooked exactly to order. The accompanying side dishes were appropriate and to top it off Creme brûlée! Awesome dinner! After hearing so much about Ringside Steakhouse, we are glad we gave it a try and will definitely be returning!
The food and service was superb. Love the old restaurant charm...a very classic venue. It’s expensive and plan on spending some big bucks but every now and then it’s worth it.
