   Not exaggerating — one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was also top notch. We were visiting PDX to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, and the RingSide staff graciously printed a special menu with birthday wishes for her… just that extra touch made the experience. In short — we can eat A LOT, and all we ordered was the small onion rings, and shared the A5 olive-fed wagyu (5oz) and the garlic mash… we were stuffed. Then they brought us a complementary crème brûlée. Can’t say enough about the quality of the food — everything was exquisite.

   Steak was a bit tough. Seafood salad was large but with not a wide variety of seafood. When dessert was served our bill was presented at the same time with no offer of coffee. For the money will try somewhere else.

   As sublime as it gets! I've been a server for over 25 years and las5 night's anniversary dinner with my wife stands out as one the greatest evening's out we've ever had the pleasure to experience. From the Classic American Steakhouse atmosphere to the warm, polished professionalism of William, our server, to the incredible food, this dinner will long linger in our memories as one of our favorites. We feel honored to have been taken such great care of. William, we thank you in the utmost for your charm and conversation, and wish you and the entire rest of the Ringside crew the absolute best.    Had the most wonderful dinner with family. Great vibe, soft lighting, and enjoyable experience. The service was amazing and the food was delicious!! Ribeye, NY center cut and prime rib were cooked to absolute perfection. The pole beans, omg. They were so good!! We can’t wait to go back! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

    Took my fiancé here for the first time for his birthday and he loved it! It was the best experience he has ever had. The steak was superb. Cooked perfect. His favorite was the lobster mashed potatoes! It was nit too noisy. You could easily have a conversation without yelling.

    We are longtime regular guests of Ringside. Instead of their excellent steaks, I now order Seafood Cesar Salad. Strange to find Portland’s best seafood in Portland’s best Steakhouse. Ringside is still as good as it always has been!

    Ringside is always good. Many times it is fantastic. Last night, a bit better than good. The steaks were a bit tougher than usual for "prime" grade rib eyes. The filets were perfect. The lobster mashed potatoes are always fantastic as are the onion rings. Noise levels were high, it becomes hard to have a conversation as I get older. The worst part, the bill. We will not be going back soon as the cost seems almost exorbitant. It was a good outing but inflation is killing these kinds of outings. I would recommend this restaurant but watch you wallet.

    We were seated in the side small brick room. Then a party of eight were seated next to us. They were extremely noisy; we had trouble holding a conversation due to the noise. The more they drank the more disgusting some of their vocabularies and volume became. I will be sure to ask for a booth in the main dining room. The service and the food was fantastic. Susan, our server was particularly gracious.

    After being patrons for over 15 years, we will not be returning. Our server, Susan, was incredible in all ways, but the rest of our experience was incredibly disappointing. We received our steaks (filet & prime rib) which were both ordered medium. We were asked to cut into our steaks to make sure they were to our liking. We have been here many times over the years and found this very odd. Do they not have confidence anymore in their kitchen? The prime rib was partly medium, but mostly undercooked, while the filet was not even rare. The filet was sent back and returned still undercooked, along with a very dried out baked potato. The person, Christine (I believe) who brought the steak was incredibly rude and abrupt. She asked if the steak was to our liking and we mentioned it was still under. She rudely said something like, "Every house is different" referring to the color and doneness of the steak. She also reiterated it would cook more after it sat more on the tray. We were treated like we knew nothing and were in the wrong. If I'm paying $80 for a steak, I would sure hope the kitchen would know how to cook it. We overheard other diners being asked to cut into their steaks to make sure they were correct, making it seem even more like something was amiss. We mentioned to Susan what happened, and she had somebody else come over and apologize, which was nice, but still frustrating. They did give us free dessert, but our evening was already ruined by being accosted by Christine(?). After more than 15 years frequenting Ringside as a special occasion go-to, we will be looking elsewhere for our premium dining experience.

    Had dinner with wife here. Food, drinks and services were all great. We both had their signature A5 Wague stake as main dish with crab cake and bone marrow for appetizer. Desert was good too. The only suggestion I would have is they could have a bigger and more diverse desert menu. The options were the typical ones and limited.

    We have been to this restaurant at least 20+ times in the past 35 years. It never disappoints, this time we arrived early so we sat in the bar for our very first time. Our bartender was Jim, very attentive, excellent service, fantastic drinks and we got him to smile. When our reservation was ready we were notified and taken to our table, we were blessed once again to have a wonderful server, her name was Kelly. She was cheerful, friendly and efficient. Our meal was excellent, which is no surprise! They have the best steaks I have had the pleasure of enjoying. The garlic mashed potatoes were seasoned beautifully and well sized. Bread served was warm and yummy. I would also recommend an order of onion rings!

    Been to the Ringside before, but it had been a while. Service was outstanding, as usual and the cocktails were absolutely perfect! Now to the food. To be honest, my guest and I (both decent home cooks) were disappointed. We shared a green salad (huge portions), but the dressing simply tasted bad. Not sure what was in it, but it was not pleasant at all. The baked potato was not fully cooked, still hard in places and not that nice hot fluffiness that you expect when you cook a potato well. I don't know how you can ruin roasted brussels sprouts, but they did. Whomever came up with the recipe add just too many ingredients and they tasted awful. All you need for a great roasted brussels sprouts recipe is the sprouts, salt, pepper, olive oil and perhaps a bit of balsamic glaze on top, but this recipe had so many ingredients that just made the whole side dish taste bad. We didn't eat but a forkful and the waiter was kind enough to remove it from the bill. My guest loved her Filet Mignon (med rare), but I was not overwhelmed with the bone-in NY Strip (med rare). It was good, okay, but not outstanding as you would expect when paying Ringside prices. I used to think that Ringside was the best place for steak in town, but my mind is changing on that. Last 'great' steak I had in Portland was actually at The Chart House.

    Service is everything, and it didn't exist for our dinner. First, the positive parking and valet are excellent, and the check-in folks were friendly. The atmosphere is awesome, with great boxing and sports memorabilia on the walls and beautiful old-school booths. The food and bar were ok, but the service(waitress) was terrible. I ordered a manhattan, and it was pure vermouth offered to remake it, which was nice, but the waitress changed the drink to something else. We ordered a Shrimp cocktail with zesty sauce, and it had no flavor, ketchup, mayonnaise no zest . I sent that back r waitress KD, then returned us three shrimp on a plate and said there was nothing wrong with the zesty sauce. Our entrees were mixed quality Ribeyes were excellent and cooked to perfection. The prime rib was good but cold. After getting our entrees, we never saw our waitress, KD, order another bottle of wine and ask if the prime rib could be warmed. We were joking about not seeing her again for over 20 minutes. Excellent wine selection, but you need an attentive server to order it. Summary very poor service and attitude by our server, and the food was either good or below average. Lots of steak houses in PDX, and this will be our last visit here. Wrecked a big night for us

    My Best Friend and I recently celebrated our 60th Birthdays with our husbands at the Ringside. We had a wonderful time and an exceptional meal. The service was impeccable the valets, hosts, our lovely server and staff were all warm and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning soon.
