Cousin's 60th birthday. Local pubs are "high dining" to her so spending an evening in a great restaurant with wonderful food and a super staff was a special treat for her.

I expected better quality of steaks (prime rib and special bone-in ribeye) given the prices. The salad was soaked in vinegar.

The Ciopino which my wife ordered was outstanding. I had the filet which was also very good. Good wine selection. Comfortable and relaxed.

My husband and I have dined at Ringside Fish House twice in the last years to take advantage of their Pre-Theater menu. It is a prix fixe, three course menu that has not disappointed, both in value and quality. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The attire is “Northwest Cool”. Oh, and parking is paid at Fox Tower!

I love Fish House .
A great American classic restaurant .
Great location
Great Food
Great service
Great w....
what happened to the fantastic wine list you had ?????
It’s all mixed up on the card ...
and I , personally don’t won’t to think about Oregon Pinot noir ...
Yes it’s personal , not an offense . But , for me ,
It’s like loosing 50% of the attraction of the restaurant .

So , please , put your little bottles in a row .
Get a wine list easy to read by a French dude like me ...and see you soon ...

By the way , I want to thank you for the cold butter and salt . That was really appreciated .

: )

We were in Portland for our 50th anniversary and chose favorite restaurants from when we lived there. Ringside Fish House beat them all -- even Jake's!

Went last night for the first time for our 21st wedding anniversary. Started at the bar while we waited for our reservation time, drinks are strong and the happy hour menu is fantastic with good prices. The service was outstanding in the bar and restaurant as well as the food. Will definitely be back again soon, thanks for making it a great evening. Side note, the steak bites and mussels for happy hour are great, the calamari was ok tender but not much taste. For dinner the halibut and whole perch was perfect as well as the oysters on the half shell.

This is the kind of restaurant that my out-of-town business guests like, but it is not my kind of restaurant. That said, the food was very good, the service was friendly and professional, it is a little expensive.

Despite plenty of top competition, Ringside Fish House stands out as my favorite Portland restaurant for top notch seafood. Ambiance, food presentation and flavors, and stellar service all in a very convenient location contribute to a great dining experience. I've had dinner there several times, but recently my wife and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary. Shannon, our server, our sommelier, and the entire staff at Ringside Fish House made a wonderful evening truly memorable, and my wife and I feel truly special. Bravo Ringside!

We had a good time because we were old friends. My comments would be that the server was slow, bar service was slow, and some fish was undercooked.

My husband’s cioppino was the best he’s ever eaten.
My salmon tail was undercooked, returned for additional cooking, brought back to the table. It was so decimated after the server removed the fin that it really was inedible.
The service was lovely, ambiance nice though.

The crab legs were wonderful and great service. My only complaint is that my friend ordered a steak but couldn’t get a baked potato which I believe pairs great with a steak

I’m a regular at the Ringside Fishhouse. The selection and quality is top notch. I much prefer food and ambiance to Jakes (which has become a touristy chain restaurant). Last night I had the fresh salmon with albacore ceviche. It was amazing. Very exceptional-wine list and sommelier. My husband had Chrissi bowl (did I mention the have fresh raw bar?).

Both downtown Ringside locations have upped their game. The menu is more focused and innovative for a traditional steak and seafood place. Everything the two of us ordered at the Fish House was great and servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to advise on food and beverage options.

Not their best effort. My wife and I split a salmon. She likes hers well done and I can go rare. When it arrived it merely poached, she couldn't even look at it and I tried it and it was far too rare for even me. They offered to make another one properly, but our appetites were ruined by then. Later that evening, the pain reoccurred! Service was absent during the delivery and check in, so the response they made took a while. Although they comped the entree, and were very nice about it, it still was a not a good situation.

We have been to RingSide Fish House on numerous occasions and it never disappoints. The food is presented beautifully. They have seasonal specials and are helpful with specific dietary needs. It is close to theater and in the heart of the city.

Fish House is a classic restaurant ....
It’s a real restaurant , compared to the multitude of wannabe restaurants in town .
Great food , great wine and great service .
On Sundays you pay half price for a bottle of wine .
Who in town has the guts to do that ?!??,
Thank you so much .

Most of the food was great, room is nice Big problem though - I specifically told the waiter that I was pescatarian, and he allowed me to order a dish that had chorizo in it. As I started eating it, I noticed and had to call him over. He admitted it was chorizo and apologized. Unfortunately, that is an inexcusable mistake. It could be deadly for the wrong person.
