This is consistently the best restaurant in Boulder and always an excellent experience.
Another stellar lunch at Riffs. The thing I love about Riff's is that they always have their delicious standby's -- brussel sprouts, kale salad, two signature soups, toasted bread, . . . -- but they also mix it up with different fish dishes and creative new desserts. For the record, I had a wonderful mahi-mahi as an entree followed by a dessert of the day, a chocolate wonderment that my wife broke her diet to try. Bravo, Riffs. We'll be back every chance we get.
Lunch is a great time to go to Riffs..not so crowded or loud. Better value.
Chef John Platt always blows it away! Outstanding service to boot!
We had an amazing meal at Riffs the other night. Very exciting menu with lots of great choices. The brussel sprout appetizer was the best I have ever had. Kudos to the chef and his team for another great restaurant. Highly recommended.
The cod special was amazing! Brussels sprouts were delicious as always.
We had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary at Riffs! Service was incredible, and the food was excellent. They even brought us a complimentary glass of champagne for our special day. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great sharing plates.
I've been to Riffs a couple of times now and both meals were delicious. I moved to Boulder from Chicago and the food stands up to a big city. The cheese and salumi boards were amazing and make sure to get the truffle butter with prosciutto and baked bread. The servers are extremely friendly and knowledgable. Wine selection is decent and it's overall a great place for a night out.
We were there super early as it was First Bite week. Restaurant nearly empty. Took forever to get wine and had to flag down non servers to get other help.
Sole was cooked well but lacked flavor. My friend’s burger was reportedly delicious.
We've visited Riff's before and this visit lived up to our expectations. First, I want to compliment our server, Ilona, who is terrific! We've had her before and she's always delightful, attentive and responsive. On this visit we started with the Potato Leek Soup. Something was added to it that I didn't care for, but my wife liked it. For our seconds, my wife had the Smoked Pork Loin, which she liked, and I had the Flanksteak, which was excellent - i.e., tender, full of flavor and a perfect medium rare. The sides on both dishes (various root vegetables) were perfect. While my wife enjoyed a couple cocktails (Dazed & Confused), I started with a nice Albarino (Neboa) and followed that with a very tasty Tempranillo. We were rushing to a movie at the Boe, so we didn't have time for dessert. All in all, this was another very pleasant trip to Riff's and we recommend it highly to anyone who is looking for a well-prepared, interesting dinner.
Fantastic food, as always- fresh, local, innovative and creative. It was my mother’s 91st birthday and they treated her to a glass of champagne. Stellar device as well.
Great from start to finish. Sun dried tomatoes in the Caesar salad was a great touch. The mahi mahi special was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten.
It’s way too noisy, not sure you can do anything about it
We went to Riff's with another couple to try a new restaurant we hadn't gone to before in Boulder, and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and portion sizes were perfect. Sometimes at high end restaurants they don't serve a good portion size but that was not the case at Riff's. Also all the small plates we tried were unique and well prepared. I have Celiac Disease and they accommodated all of my requests without missing a beat so I was able to enjoy most of the dishes we chose to share for appetizers and desserts. I had the slow roasted lamb dish for an entree and it was absolutely fabulous! Would highly recommend Riff's to all my friends!
We had a great meal at Riffs, sharing 3 small plates, the roasted pears, the burratta and the papas bravas. All were excellent, as well as the cocktails we had. For entrees, we had the Mahi Mahi, Gnocci and Pork Loin and the waitress made good wine-by-the-glass suggestions to pair with each. Each entree was delicious. Finally, we had the apple tart, also amazing! I liked that more casual vibe, seasonal menu selections and great service!
Food was just ok...there are much better restaurants in the area.
Our wait person was extraordinary, she recommended great meals, was personable and competent. The food was outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening out!
Service was EXCELLENT
Oysters were AMAZING
Gnocchi were Off THE CHART DELICIOUS
The ambiance, coffee and apple dessert were A+++
Dining at Riffs was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great menu! Attentive staff! Not too pricey. Great location at Pearl Street Mall
We have eaten at Riff's many times since it opened. This meal was just so-so.
Fabulous meal. Great place to take vip clients!
We enjoyed the brussel sprout appetizer, a burger, and the salmon. I added the green chile’s, cheddar, and grilled onions to the burger and was pleased to see generous slabs of roasted green poblano chile’s on the burger... so tasty!! The RiffArita was fresh and it was tempting to order a second one! The only reason I didn’t give the full five stars for the food was several items were salted with a heavy hand.
This is a lovely restaurant with great drinks and some fabulous apps. The service is fantastic.
Riffs is always a great dining experience, especially if you go with the specials!
Another great meal at Riffs. This time with my wife, son and partner and for dinner. Because there were 4 of us, we were able to sample many of the appetizers that I usually just don't have room for, including roasted oysters, potato/leek soup and grilled avocado -- to go along with the usually delicious roasted cauliflower and broccoli and bread. We shared monkfish, mussels, gnocci and roasted chicken and drank two bottles of Mont-Redon -- a great value and so delicious, I recently bought two cases. We finished off with truffles, lemon cheesecake, flourless chocolate cake and ice cream -- with double espressos all around. Sigh. I love this place.
Excellent food and comfortable atmosphere.
I would recommend this restaurant to a friend.
Even on a busy CU Parents weekend the staff did their best to keep you happy and get you fed as quickly and deliciously as possible.
A+ for effort to all the hardworking staff.
We had lunch and were pleased with our meals. Trout cooked perfectly. Our waiter was outstanding.
Stayed in Boulder 3 night, ended having dinner at Riffs twice, on Saturday, which was our original reservation, then again on Monday. Loved the food. The linguine with hazel dell mushroom was fantastic; so was the smoked trout and and poke style ahi tartare; the grilled avocado was to die for; and the cocktails, particularly the garden gin, were fantastic.
Everything we ordered was great. Our friends loved the fried chicken. Apps were delicious. Riffs is always consistently great.
Great food, service, and overall ambience. Every trip to Boulder I try to visit Riffs
We like this place and have been there often, but it can be very noisy. Try to get a booth in the back.
We had an absolutely delicious meal at Riffs. Our waiter gave us great suggestions and everything we ordered was on point. Would highly recommend!!
Great location and service. Two apps four entrees one dessert- all different, plated nicely and delicious. Server was fun and motivated. We had a great time.
Amazing meal. So much fresh from the garden. Yum! Artichoke salad and peach cobbler are divine.
We are long time customers at Riffs and it is a Boulder favorite!
This is my absolutely favorite restaurant in Boulder! I love the atmosphere, the service, and the menu!! Candace
A bit pricey but did enjoy the unique dishes.
The small plates let you sample a lot of choices, the food is outstanding, and the service is first class. Our out-of-town guests loved it.
