Ridgway Bar & Grill Ratings and Reviews
Snow Birds that gave Ridgeway Bar & Grill a try for the first time. We're attracted to the scene by the outside patio singer from a few nights before. I read about it on Yelp and decided to give it a try. NOT disappointed by any means. Great restaurant with seating on the patio, porch, garden and insides. Food was very good Sordfish and Grouper come highly recommended.
Blackened or grilled! Beet salad was excellent as well. And oh yaw..... save room for the Key Lime Pie...delish👍😀
Second visit here and found it not as good. Thought prices were too high for what you received. A salad was ordered without onions. The main dish ordered did not list onions as an ingredient yet it was loaded with onions. It seems the server should have known that and informed us of such before placing the order.
This was our first time here. We did the early dining menu wich has many excellent choices. We choose a meatloaf dish and pasta with bolognese sauce dish. Food was very good and portion size was large. Our salads were very good. We had a Ceasar salad and the Fresh Mozzarella with tomato salad. I saw the Salmon dish and a very large chicken pot pie meal which also looked excellent. We dined on the front veranda and the noise was minimal, but the bar area next door was very crowded and loud. (Music started after we left) Since this was early dining the restaurant part wasn't as busy yet. The side courtyard was also very pleasant looking and quiet during the early dining/ happy hour time. Our server Joseph was excellent. He was attentive and professional.
Another positive thing I saw was attention to detail from the staff as they prepared the dining area. They were checking tablecloths, glasses and polishing silverware. NOT something most restaurants do. I've had a few dirty utensils and bread plates recently, which is concerning. So it was very nice to see that Ridgway strives for a very clean presentation. We will definitely return for early dining again with friends, not only because it offers a very good value, but also because you can actually have and hear your conversation with the restaurant not being so busy during that time.
This was the second dinning experience at the restaurant with friends. The “old Naples “ atmosphere is a definite plus with the flowered patio. The menu offers delightful choices that are very elegantly presented. Unlike other nearby possibilities this restaurant offers a quiet setting that one can actually have a conversation with guests. This spot was recommended to us by a long time resident of Naples as “the best in town.” He is absolutely spot on!
Great Service, appetizer (steamed
Mussels) was good, main dish was disappointing (Grouper and Mahi Mahi) very greasy, side dishes (sautéed greens) and desert (apple turnover w/Cinnamon Gelato) were awesome. For the price, entire meal was
not worth the expense. Generally Open Table ratings are spot on, but not this time. Only go for drinks, side dishes and desert.
Everything was delightful. We had a reservation and were seated on time. Our waitress greeted us in a timely manner. We ordered cocktails which arrived quickly. I had the beet salad and the pan roasted shrimp with corn cake, fried green tomato and tasso ham gravy. It was excellent. My husband had the mozzarella & tomato salad and the veal saltimbocca which came with spinach & ricotta gnocchi which was also excellent. This is a GREAT place! We will definitely return and bring family and guests when they visit Naples.
We went there for the first time and will not go back. Food was very over priced and not very good. Caesar salad was 3 leafs with little dressing. No croutons. Chicken pot pie was $29. Gnocchi were tasteless. Spare ribs were also poorly seasoned. The room was very pretty.
Everything was OK, but not special. Where we were seated was also unimpressive, although we did make a last minute reservation so that may partially be to blame. Thought the food was a little high priced for the quality you received. Not a bad place, but would also not be my first choice when I come to Naples in the future.
Ridgeway is continues to be a favorite of mine. When we are in Naples I try to get there several times during our stay. The only thing that caught me by surprise this time was that there was smoking on the porch. Fortunately we were a distance from the smoker. But if there had been more smoking, my guest and I would have either moved or left the restaurant.
A Naples tradition , RIDGEWAY never fails to live up to its reputation. The food was delicious and our server was excellent. The music in the bar was entertaining but not loud enough to overtake your conversation . A seat on the porch in good weather makes you feel as if you were dining in someone’s backyard . We will be back!
