Dinner: Monday-Friday 6pm - 11pm
Saturday-Sunday 5:30pm - Midnight
The food was excellent. It’s a very relaxed spot with good drinks and good food. The wait staff is super attentive and really nice. I would highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich and the Sexy Burt Reynolds drink. Very well priced as well.
Found Rider on OpenTable, checked out reviews on another site and they all appeared to be positive, so I decided to give them a try. I went with my cousin for brunch. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, she had the omelette. We were both happy with our order. We also tried one of their cocktails, Covet They Neighbor’s Drink, loved it! Only downside, it took quite some time to receive our food (to me, brunch is usually more fast paced). But it wasn’t to the point of asking our server about the status of our orders. Servers were great as well. I’d go back to try their dinner menu.
Lots of great food options from a real foodie chef. Moderately priced and varied menu. Superb team to service your table. Catch a show at National Sawdust next door!
I had a great experience at Rider. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The plates are quite small which is great for sharing. Among myself and two friends we ordered two appetizers and two pizzas and it was more than enough food. Very interesting menu items, highly recommend the fried eggplant as well as the smoked ricotta. The combination of flavors and textures was amazing. Also LOVED the rosemary infused vodka.
Great spot for brunch with friends. Yummy food, fun menu and casual atmosphere good for cross table conversation with a group. My only complaint was the humidity on the second floor.
Great food and service. Surprisingly impressed.
Even though one of my favorite dishes is no longer on the menu the dinner was delicious. The food is modern, innovative, and well executed. The wine list is great. And the service was excellent; our server was really engaged, understood us a group and was very helpful. Love dinner and brunch here. We keep coming back here and are always happy with the food and the experience
Went for brunch with my family and was there for a total of 3 hours. The service was extremely slow and negligent. Would not recommend Rider to others.
I would of given a much higher rating to Rider, except the service was quite slow and we had a biscuit mishap. I ordered a biscuit and it didn't come for 20 minutes. Then when it arrived, it was still uncooked in the middle! So, I sent it back and about 30 minutes later they brought me a second biscuit. When I dug into that one, it was also totally raw at the center! I doubt this usually happens, but it was a little confusing that we had exact issue twice in an hour. Also, the biscuits looked really good, so I was super disappointed to send the second one back and ask them to cancel the order. The other food was good, though! Worth the longer service wait.
Small portions, slow service, but food was tasty. Kind of overpriced.
We've only been once for dinner before and it was fantastic and the brunch that we had this weekend was equally amazing. The food, the presentation, the wine, the service, all were flawless. The music choices could use some work but that is the only negative that I can think of. Definitely coming again for both brunch and dinner.
Absolutely delicious! Get the doughnuts if you're there for brunch! The Cure was also amazing. Definitely going to come back!
Amazing service. We were treated to donuts as a starter. Thank you! Great cocktails. Cozy ambience. Tasty food! I loved the donkey burrito!
Thank you to the entire Rider team for making my cousins bachelorette brunch a success.
We liked the outdoor seating. Our server Miriam was especially good. Plus they threw in free dessert on honor of my birthday, which I much appreciated.
Since I very much dislike noisy restaurants, I enjoyed that it was pretty quiet. I'm there to enjoy good food and talk with my friends, neither of which is helped at all by loud music and then people shouting over it to be heard.
There is no question that the food at Rider is among the very very best in New York. A truly outstanding menu and attentive service. Rider is basically a "small plates" restaurant and I like that since so many restaurants serve portions that are too large. One can always order more plates (as we did). Prices are high (commensurate with the extremely high food quality) so this is probably more for special occations than for regular "everyday" dining. Because it is part of National Sawdust it is the perfect place to go when also attending concerts at National Sawdust. I just cannot say enough parise about Rider (and about NS as a music venue). A great choice!!
Always great service, yummy cocktails and creative twists on classic dishes.
Really special, don’t know why this place doesn’t have higher ratings. Crudo, fried eggplant, smoked ricotta, chicken, and Weinstein were outstanding. The Coffee Cookie Crunch ice cream is truly WOW FOOD ! I am still dreaming about it.
Food was good. It was Mother's Day so very busy and noise level high. Service was good. Had to climb to 2nd floor for restrooms. I would recommend it.
Felt like they really did not want us there!!
It was a strange feeling.
Food was delicious, especially the Arctic char. Would definitely go back. Service was great too.
Pretty good, but generally don’t like untz-untz music while dining, esp during brunch with my mom!
So much fun here -- the bartender was great and the cocktails were amazing! And the food was terrific also -- looking forward to going back soon. Perfect pre-show spot for Music Hall of Williamsburg or any of the other venues in the area.
Nicest meal I’ve had in a while, great to see different and creative options on the menu in a neighborhood of a lot of same same. Really delicious, good wine menu, chilled vibe. Will become our new local go-to.
Great food and service as always. Brunch is good and the cocktail menu is quite creative.
The place was packed when we got there - I'm glad I made a reservation!
The food was decent. It wasn't particularly gourmet, but I don't think it was meant to be. It was a simple brunch.
The food was amazing and the service was even better!
My family of 4 stayed in Brooklyn for our Spring Break vacation. When we travel, we like to go where the locals go. However, I really couldn't say how popular this place is with the locals, but we loved it! I stumbled across it on the Open Table app and just trusted the reviews. We went for brunch on Easter Sunday...Not knowing the area, I just wanted to be sure we could find a table somewhere on Easter Sunday. We all ordered different dishes and each one was amazing! We started with the lemon fennel doughnuts. To die for. My daughter had the avocado toast and loved it. My son said the pancakes were some of the best he has ever had. My husband had the smoked salmon and potatoes, unique and delicious. I had a biscuit and chicken sausage. The biscuit was exceptional and the chicken sausage is house made. Highly recommend this place.
Arrived at set time and was told the kitchen was closed.
Really nice brunch, the pancakes are amazing. Bloody Mary is spicy.
If you try one thing, make sure it's the fennel lemon donuts.
Rider was very good. Only complaint was long wait for the food to arrive. But the complimentary donuts at the beginning of brunch were amazing! Meals were all very good. Service was very pleasant. We would go back.
Love the lemon-fennel donuts! The brunch is great and if you arrive early there is always a lot of seating options. Fills up fast, tho.
Great food and service.
Fabulous food and exceptional service. Only disappointing thing was we saw the chef on TV preparing banana bread French toast which is no longer on the menu!
I chose this place for a group brunch because the menu had a little something for everyone. Rider did not disappoint. We all left happily well fed. I will definitely be going back.
They were great! Their food is definitely tasty and fresh, some of the items are definitely homemade so the taste might through you off at first can but it DOES taste lovely!! The service was spectacular! Very friendly and accommodating! Overall it was an amazing experience
This place used to be amazing, but a slip in consistency of food quality and service have really left me not wanting to go back here. Last several times I have been there have been serious issues with some of the service staff. This last time my food came out absolutely cold. Not even warm, straight up cold. When I asked our server to fix it he responded in about the most condescending tone I have ever heard. "no PROBLEM, ill get you some... HOT... food RIGHT away". I was blown away - i have never been met with such a poor attitude over something that was clearly their fault and a failure of the person on expo. When the food is good its very good, but im going to give this place a good long rest after that.
Great service amazing food.
Great local venue with an eclectic sharing menu which is expertly prepared and served. Lower level with bar and seating plus an upstairs dining room. Good cocktail menu and very nice wine list. All in all, a lovely evening in a real owner-run restaurant.
This place was incredible. My girlfriend and I went here after some plans were cancelled last minute. I cannot emphasize how great this place is to share a couple plates with your significant other.
