Ok food. Had to order more sauce for pasta, very dry and meatless. Barkeep, Kim was awesome and served my table exceptionally well. Great drinks!
Great dirty martini & wonderful salmon. Cooked absolutely perfect. Not dry at all & I ate every single bite. My hubby had their old fashioned drink which he said was great. He ordered the New York strip & he also devoured it. We had been traveling all day so we were extra hungry but no regrets on eating here.
Food was over priced for quality.
When paying with your credit card they add a20% charge workout telling you and is not displayed on your check. When called they inform you then that is just incase you want to tip on your card. It insures the amount plus a20%to will go through.
We got the bolganese pasta and it tasted like someone used pedigree dog food for the meat. Well the taste was similar to the smell you get for canned dog food. Was hard to eat.
We tipped with cash and if I had known there was a additional charge to cover tip, I wouldn't have left a cash tip. I would have just used my card. Hopefully when they do night end balance the correct amount will charge to my card.
Was OK but not on my list for a second go round.
Friendly staff. Extra amazing bartenders. Delicious food at great prices.
This restaurant was much more fun and lively in its heyday...the Pointe Hilton needs to infuse some better neighborhood pizzazz. Very, very, very odd that the kitchen serves shrimp cocktail as room service item from this same kitchen/restaurant, but will not serve it to guests sitting in chairs?? As noted, very, very, very odd. Food was OK, even good. Service very good. Just a "dead" place without much going on. Too bad, it is smack in the heart of a lot of bedrooms and has a load of businesses nearby. One would think it would be a hangout after work.
The restaurant had a good variety on the menu and the food was very good. We were pleasantly surprised. We had 4 kids with our group and all had good options and enjoyed the food.
A nice little restaurant with a very pleasant ambiance and nice staff.
Food was stone cold and hugely over priced. I had taco’s and the ‘soft’ shell’s had been left so long they became hard.
The air conditioning was cranked up too high too.
We arrived at 6:30 pm... the place was dead quiet! It actually took a couple minutes for anyone to notice we were there!
The waitress was rather rude, and was less than helpful. She seemed to be rushing us through everything. Annoying!
Late supper sandwiches were very good. We had a grilled turkey on Cibatta Roll and a Turkey club sandwich. The sweet potatoes fries were severely undercooked and when returned were remade and quickly corrected to satisfaction. I would say prices were slightly higher than we are used to paying.
It was fine. Breakfast buffet was a reasonable value and our server was excellent. Would be great if someone had the responsibility of keeping items stocked. Juice was empty. Then syrup was empty. And then other things. Just annoying when there wasn't a large crowd.
We had both dinner and breakfast at Rico’s. Food was average and service was well below average. Took more than 20 minutes just to get glasses of water after asking multiple times.
Our server Dave was really great! He was very funny and professional. We really enjoyed our experience with Dave.
The food was more on the ok side. The artichoke and spinach dip was very bland as was the breading on the calamari.
The Ruben was toasted perfectly, the burger was cooked to perfection, and the kids enjoyed their food as well.
The food was amazing. Definitely great for not only staying at the resort but also for a nice place to stop in and dine. The service is ok kind of slow and not real personable servers.
Hands down the server my group of 6 has was awesome. Even though we had reservations we had to wait for 10 minutes for our table. We ordered right away and apps came out pretty quickly. Spinach artichoke dip was amazing and how the prepare the pits to go with made the dish. Calamari was average. The food over all was average for the price of the dishes which is where the 3 star review comes in.
The potatoes with the spareribs were horrible they tasted like cleaning solution!! My daughter ordered the scallops and left hungry, such a small portion of food. They should really serve bread with the meal at this price level!!
Amazing food and the staff/service were the best. Could not have been happier with our meal. We live 40 miles say and will be coming back again!
We've eaten here before and had good experiences, but this time there was extremely long wait for food; two orders were "forgotten to be put in" and brought to the table after everyone else was done eating. Desserts took so long that our 5 year old fell asleep waiting. Hoping this was just a really "off " night for the restaurant.
Never greeted. Say for 15 minutes, left and the host didn't stop us. Only saying have a good night.
Will never return.
Food was very good but honestly, a bit pricey. Very limited selection. Ambiance was nice.
Not very busy and took forever to get our food. The steak was tough.
The short ribs were disgusting. The meat was extremely tough (had a hard time cutting through it with a knife). The sauce was even worse. Ordered a salad to go instead.
I have several things to comment on regarding our visit:
#1 - they claim to be a farm-to-Table and locally sourced restaurant... Nothing we were served seemed fresh or was listed as local on the menu and nowhere do they publish what local farms they use.
#2 - they have a very nice seasonal Fall themed menu posted on Open Table. The menu looked good which is why we chose to go here. When we got there, we were surprised to find out that menu isn't actually what they're serving. The menu online had Fall foods like Sweet Potato Pumpkin Soup and a Prosciutto Arugula flatbread listed... instead, we were given a menu that had things like Gazpacho and Fish Tacos on it... It's the end of October so why if they're so seasonal are they serving summer food?
#3 the food was not good. The salmon was overlooked, the asparagus that came with it was so thick it had zero flavor and the mashed potatoes had so much butter in them that they had a pool of butter surrounding them on my plate. The mushroom flatbread that we ordered was fine. Nothing to rave about but certainly should have been better considering usually ingredients are top quality at a farm-to-table restaurant.
The resort here is great but this restaurant (which was our only option on property for dinner) was NOT. I don't recommend this place. It's not seasonal, fresh, local or delicious. We should have just eaten at the sports bar across the street.
Not as good of an experience as I expected. Food was marginal and service was "it may take a while"...it wasn't even busy
We come every Wednesday evening for burgers and usually one other day each week and we leave in the area. It is always great! This night they were off. The hostess kept apologizing for their lack of service, etc. Thanks.
good food, good service. the food arrived in a timely manner and the wait staff was very good. the food was tasty and cooked to the right temp for the steak i ordered.
I guess the best part of the location were the employees. They were all great.
Food was mediocre. They were out of many items the waiter sold us on. Just not good.
The food is usually great here but this past experience was not inviting. Mainly due to the customer service. The service did not seem like they wanted to be there or enjoy their job.
A good choice on the property for dinner. Our family had a good experience.
Although we mentioned that we were in a hurry...we had a little over an hour...the waitress did not inform us that the kitchen was backed up and rarely visited our table. Our food came within 15 minutes of when we needed to leave for the airport. The food was very good but, having to choke it down left us feeling like we were being taken advantage of. I would have gladly had the waitress be honest with us and point us to something that could be prepared quickly...I thought a burger would fit that requirement....such a upsetting experience. We have visited the Hilton at Squaw Peak many times over the years and now I remember why we don't eat at Rico's!
Great modern menu in a very comfortable environment. Really enjoyed several breakfasts and dinners here. The team is so friendly and warm - amazing with our two young kids. Michael and Agate were 2 favorites but the entire team was awesome. Thank you for enhancing our stay in Phoenix. Nice to be able to find a great meal for a fair price on vacation! Many thanks!
The food was good even though we had to send back a salad with salmon cause the piece of salmon was so small and didn't taste very good. The service was poor at best. The waitress had no personality, barely spoke, and was very inattentive.
A great birthday celebration. I took my husband to Rico's American Grill to celebrate his Birthday. Our food was great and our waiter was very attentive he made sure we were well taken care of.. My husband got a free birthday dessert so he ordered the outrageous banana split he and my nephew share and they thought it was the best dessert you could ever have. 👍 for great time, dinner & atmosphere and the prices were just right.. Thank you Rico's for making our dinning experience a AWESOME Outting..
Breakfast buffet was good, fruit was very fresh and pancakes/French toast were very good. The muffins and banana bread were very moist and tasty. Eggs were not great and omelette was undercooked and runny. All-in-all good breakfast buffet, not great.
The bar menu is good and I strongly recommend the tacos. Great prices at the happy hour. The salad would be good if it was not swimming in the salad dressing. You can get the restaurant menu in the bar which gives some nice options.
Service was very good.
Good breakfast buffet. Very good service. Great atmosphere. Go there!
Only downside is their hours of operation which you might verify as they do not seem to follow the hours listed...
The menu was very limited. Definitely not up to the atmosphere of the resort. I choose Rico's because we were staying at the Hilton Squaw Peak, having a summer getaway. The resort is upbeat and lively, while Rico's was just dead.
Considering this is attached to the Hilton I thought the prices were going to be outrageous. I was happy to see they were not and are your typical prices for eating out at a bar and grill. The sweet potato fries were delicious and so was my skirt steak. I loved the little dessert cups they offer so you can sample multiple items. Great staff! I would go back.
Took three people to open our wine. First, she had no idea how to use the waiter key. She plowed right through the wrap. Then tried to pull the cork through brut strength. Then called over server number two across the tables who couldn't do it either. She screwed the thing so far down the key couldn't have caught the side of the bottle ever. At some point we offers to help and showed them how to use the lever. To which one exclaimed "we are getting schooled tonight". But the cork was so beat up it broke in half. So they called a manager while telling us "we keep telling management we need wine training". Food is ok and some was really good. But it is hotel prices - be warned - for untrained servers.
