Brought the wrong beer we ordered first
Then Ordered a ribeye and we were served a New York steak
Wonderful food! Went for lunch for my birthday with my family.
At $65 I would have expected better food. It was good but just so-so. The best part of the meal was the bread and our service was outstanding. The plate reminded me of one a person puts in a microwave and heats up. The potatoes looked exactly like that. We go to Rick's for appetizers and this is the reason why! Way overpriced for what you are served and the appearance of the plate. Again, great service but I could have fixed a better tasting meal at home.
Restaurant was overbooked. Seated us 20 minutes late. Wait staff rushed us thru, took our food multiple times before we were done. Did not provide drink refills. Ribeye was poor quality, potatoes cold. Spoke to manager, best he could offer was a free round of (delayed) drinks. Got the check, the "free" round was included. I'm sad because we used to love Rick's. However, we're done. Their slow decline is becoming very noticeable. They charge too much for poor service and sub par food.
Excellent as always. You know you’ll never have a bad meal...consistently good!
Service was a bit slow but the food was great
The food was excellent and our server was exceptional. We will definitely be back again.
This was our second business meeting there and it was fantastic. The food I must say was fantastic. I add the chicken wrap without the bacon. It was very tasty. I will for sure be visiting again in the near future. Our server was right there when we needed her so hat's off to her as well!
I go to this restaurant occasionally and generally enjoy the food. It seems each time I have been lately, the food quality did not meet my expectation; it was still good, but not what I expected based on prior experiences.
Service was great. Wasn’t a huge fan of the particular dish I selected however the mahi was awesome!
Service and a surprise half price wine bottles sealed the deal!
We have been going to Rick's for years and have never been disappointed. The service is great the menu offers a wide variety and the food portions are large and very tasty. Topping everything off was a killer brownie.
We had a very good experience dining here. I've been here several times before and the food and service is always good to great. We both enjoyed our meals and we highly recommend the deserts as well.
I have eaten at Rick's before. Menu selection is great. Staff is friendly and attentive.
When there is 10 ppl are more please do not put them at a tight setting there was no room to move around at all
After hearing about this place from several people we finally had dinner the other day.
The food was excellent, a little expensive but you get what you pay for. The only thing
I was a little disappointed was that they offered nothing for a birthday after we told them
it was for a special birthday. Other restaurants offer a small cake or something but we
received nothing. And this was a special birthday!!! My Uncle who is 95 years old!!!
Other than that we did enjoy the food and will return.
We have always had excellent food here in a fun atmosphere, wether we are eating inside or outside.
Everything is always great at Ricks ! View is amazing even better in the summer time . It was a bit loud once the music started but not to awful . Can’t wait to go back !
Great Sunday brunch menu. Will be back
Always a pleasure. Service was great. Food came out in a timely manner. Our waiter David was amazing
We have been coming to Rick's for years and have never been let down by the food, ambiance, or the service. It is well worth the 60 mile drive to go there. I would recommend it to anyone who is celebrating a special occasion or just wants a good meal.
Our server Nick was outstanding.
Table not ready despite reservation.... Bad service...
Raw food had to be sent back...Experince not worth the $150
Food was outstanding. The oysters were so fresh, the filet was very tender, the salmon roulades were delightful and the rainbow trout was so tasty. Our only complaint is they were short staffed which made our service way to slow. It took one hour to get beverages and our order taken. Then there were mistakes on our bill, which took another 45 min to get it straightened out.
Lovely. The food is always amazing and we were able to sit with a view of eagle creek. Truly enjoyed seeing the water while we ate. The service was fabulous and professional. I highly recommend ricks boatyard for Sunday brunch!
I have only been during the warmer months, and will probably continue that trend. It is overpriced to feel like ur in the middle of an Applebees. Tables on top of one another I could hear everything around me. I did ask for a romantic table as I expect there to obviously be others but landed us smack dab in the middle of the restaurant my coat and the person's coat behind me were touching the tables are so close together. Great spot when we have great weather, other than that.... not worth the price.
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Rick's Cafe Boatyard recently for date night. The service was a little slow at first, but after getting our appetizer and drink order in, the appetizer came before our server took our dinner order. Both my husband's and my selections were exceptional. The grilled seafood was perfectly cooked with a kiss of mesquite. I chose the Atlantic Salmon Roulade which was a large portion, moist, and flavorful. The wedge salad was enormous--enough for us to share and have half the salad to take home. We chose the crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. They were good, but disappointing as they were swimming in Mornay sauce. But the dessert was fabulous!! We shared the cheesecake, a sweet and tart lemon cheesecake with raspberry sauce. What a finish to an excellent meal. We were both pleased with our experience and look forward to returning in the summer to watch the sun set over Eagle Creek.
The ambiance is relaxing and the food is excellent. Our waitress was on the spot and even joined in with our joking. We had a great meal with good friends and an attentive waitress. It doesn’t get any better.
First time at Rick’s. Food was excellent. Had the tuna and it was nicely prepared. Had the nachos for an appetizer with a colleague and it was even more than we could consume. Probably good for sharing for 4 people so you don’t ruin your appetite.
A very good evening. Good food, great desert, good service.
Always a good choice. This is the only place, I can find Maine lobster that is done right. Great choices on the menu, not just for sea food. Really great Cuban cream Brule. It is our go to place, always.
The shrimp and scallops pasta was excellent. They accommodated me by switching to a primavera sauce. The other person in our party ordered mushroom ravioli which, too, was delicious. The serving was more than ample to have the next day! By far my most frequented restaurant.
Had a great time with my wife enjoying Valentine's day. We enjoyed a late evening dessert and drink. The mud pie was awesome! The best part about Rick's Boatyard has to be the outside seating but in February, in Indiana, that was not gonna happen. We've been to Rick's before and as always, the service was great and the people were friendly. It was enjoyable and we had a great time.
Valentines Day for myself and my girlfriend. Great experience and food and of course me and girl killed everyone there with out outfits.
Do not enjoy the seating upstairs.
Wonderful food, great times, and great service. We had a good time and more food than we could eat for a better than expected price.
It was Valentine's and they sat us up stairs which was fine, except the tables that they had set up (I am guess just for that night) were so small that when they brought our main course out I had to have the waitress take away my salad that I was not done with because there was no room on the table.
We had the filet mignon which was great!
After our dinner the waitress asked me if I needed a box to go because I had at least half of I meal left and I said yes so she preceded to take my plate away (some restaurants will take the plate back to the kitchen box it up and bring it back to the table). When she came back to give us our bill my husband asked were my food was and she said oh I guess I must have misunderstood her and here is the bill and here is where you add the tip. She didn't ask if she could make things right with us so I assumed it was no big deal to her.
Thank you for hearing me out. We live really close so we might be back.
Valentine’s Day. Food was delicious and server was prompt and friendly.
The food was exceptional, the waiter was extraordinary and very attentive, but not over bearing. We had a truly enjoyable time, especially with it being so busy with Valentines Day too.
We had wonderful and romantic evening with fabulous service and great food
