Jumbo Shrimp (3)
Service was the slowest I've experienced there although they did not appear to be busy. Took forever for the server to come around and offer dessert, then another eternity to return to take our order after dropping off dessert menus.
Had a busser not pay attention to where he was going, rounded a corner, and almost knocked me over as I attempted to get seated.
A server knocked a tumbler off a shelf and almost hit my daughter.
Too many 'incidents' for a normally wonderful place.
Great place for a birthday celebration. Jeff M was an awesome server for our Sunday Brunch!!!
Food was good, service was wonderful Not many people dining which was a plus for us
All three of us thought our meal was super! Our waitress was superb. My friends were quite impressed with the ambience. Thanks.
The food was good not great. I felt it was a little over priced for the flavor and not offering side dishes. We didn't care for the bread at all. I ordered the Greek Salad and it was huge, but to add salmon or shrimp for $10.00 to receive 3oz. Just wasn't worth it. I will go back and try something else. My brother and his family enjoyed everything. The server was a little forgetful at times. But she was very nice and hospitalitable..
The view over the water was absolutely amazing. We requested a windows seat and got to watch the sunset over the water! It is a very comforting feeling place. You can dress a step above causal but not overly dressy. It looks as if it should be in Maine or somewhere else over a body of water. The food was okay overall, the Parmesan chicken was good but the Alfredo could have tasted better. One person completely loved the crab cakes as an appetizer. The jumbo shrimp was okay too but our waiter did not check in to refill our glasses once nor did he check how our food was so the service could have been better. The noise level was low and worked well for a date night.
All items were excellent: chicken cordon bleu appetizer, wedge salad, salmon roulades, trout!
Initially, staff did not recognize reservation request for a window booth, but they ended up accommodating. This was an anniversary celebration dinner at Rick's, where we hosted a large reception dinner 23 years ago.
Rick's is my favorite restaurant, serving my favorite meal ever! Love this place!
Service was extremely poor. I love Ricks, but if this would’ve been my first experience I’d never be back. Food was dry. Waiter paid our table nearly no attention. Waited 20 minutes just to get check.
I was totally shocked that it wasn’t packed with people!! My mother LOVE the food , service and lake view of the water. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR MAKING HER 80th BIRTHDAY UNFORGETTABLE!!!
Always our "go to" restaurant. Enjoy the view of the lake. Calamari was delicious. The meals were abundant and sumptuous.
Everything was great as usual. But the Seafood frittata was amazing!
We love going here it is worth the money and always a great experience
Those that have been there know. Don't go without a reservation. Weather is always a consideration. Eating outside is preferred but me but the season didn't cooperate. Food was ok, never tried the sandwich I ordered, wouldn't order again. May try the steak next time since I'm not a seafood person.
Great waiter! Great food!
From the introduction to our waiter to the rundown of the daily specials the evening was absolutely fabulous!
Great Place for a Business Dinner. Food was good and restaurant is impressive.
great sunday brunch meal with family members..... food was a healthy portion, service was provided by Jeff and he did a great job.
Celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary. Everything was wonderful!! As always Rick's is a perfect dining experience for us anytime we have a special event or want to take people to impress!! So glad Rick's Cafe is in our area!!
We ate here just 1 hour after our friends from Italy arrived in the USA. These Italian friends come to the USA often and know restaurants and fine dining well. At the end of our dinner at Rick's our guests said "this is the best meal we've ever had in the USA." That to me says it all.
The ahi tuna was great. Grilled seafood platter was huge and very good. Mud pie was huge and awesome.
Great place to have lunch and catch up with old friends!
We went out for our anniversary. Our waiter Stephen was amazing and attentive. I had the Ribeye, ordered medium, it was served medium rare but still tasty. My husband had the mahi mahi and it was very good. There was a band playing so it was kind of loud. Wednesday night.
Food was very good. There were six in our party. Had a wide variety of items served to the table, everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was just OK. Not bad but just strange. A little slow. Server was nice enough. There was no warm and fuzzy. Not that there has to be,I guess. Will definitely be back.
Lovely brunch overlooking the water. Excellent professional friendly service. Amazing food! Food I can’t make at home! Highly recommend
Great Food, indoor band was a bit too loud. Could not hold conversation across table using regular dining voices.
Valentine’s with family
Always love eating here! Wonderful food cooked to order!
Went on Valentine’s Day. I picked Ricks because I love the ambiance and jazz music. They had us sitting upstairs where the room was filled with folding tables and chairs for two only. We were packed in like sardines. Between the 80s love songs playing and all of the people we had to yell to hear one another. Thank goodness for the good food. If that were my only experience with Ricks I would never go back. I sure won’t be going back next Valentine’s Day.
Great food! Great service!! Would recommend to anyone!
It was Valentines Day. I made reservations for two expecting to enjoy an excellent steak and baked potato in the restaurant’s quiet, semi darkened, romantic atmosphere. It’s an expensive place to eat so I was expecting the best. Instead we got seated in an open one room area upstairs that they turned into an eating area. It was filled with folding tables and chairs covered in white cloth. It was filled with rows of tables for two that were so close to each other the waitstaff had to be careful when they served people. It was very bright, like a school cafeteria. We were seated by a window that had a constant breeze of cold air coming through the single pain of glass. We had to keep our winter coats on while eating. We would have gotten up and left but knew there would be no availability anywhere else to eat due to it being Valentines Day...hence the reason I made reservations 1 1/2 weeks in advance for Ricks. It was very loud...you could hear various conversations all around and they could hear you. Not romantic in the slightest. It was also not conducive to eating a cozy steak dinner with your husband. We ended up ordering pizza because we were not going to spend $50+ each on steak and seafood in that kind of atmosphere. The waiter did bring us drinks but never asked if we wanted another...just took our empty glasses away and left us with water. He never brought us bread. When we asked about getting some bread before our meal like the other tables, we were told that they only brought bread upon request for tables that ordered pizza. So we requested some. We didn’t get it before they brought out the pizza. We had to ask again to get some. It was just so very ridiculous...the whole setting and atmosphere. On the reservations page, there should have been some mention of the additional seating in the upper area...letting you know that you wouldn’t necessarily be in the main restaurant area. We were incredibly disappointed. The pizzas were okay.
I'm sure having a reservation made a difference but the prompt seating on a day like Valentine's day was nice. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Looking forward to the next visit and dining experience at Rick's!
Wonderful food, attentive service and beautiful ambiance!
