Excellent dinner. It was Restaurant Week and her birthday. Resrvations we're made on open table stating was her birthday and our table was a window table overlooking the skating rink (which made for some good laughs). We both opted for Restaurant Week specials. I let Waiter know it was her bday, we received a card signed by all the staff, complimentary champagne and a cookie on her desert with a candle which said happy birthday. Very personalized, she loved it. Filet Mignon was cooked perfect at medium rare - not very often does a restaurant actually cook it like it means (Google it), thier seafood pasta on point (salty but i eat veggies all week long so my tastebuds are not overly salted). Chocolate Pecan Pie to die for. Dinner ran about two hours. If this kind of hospitality isn't you forte you should stick to the trailer park you came from :-) Don't have the $ to buy the wine? BYOB and pay a cork fee.
Food was excellence, as always. We love all Rick Erwin restaurants, Nantucket especially. We went for NYE, the scenery and food could not have been more perfect. However, our waitress seemed to be exhausted and even told us that she had been working all day. We ordered 4 courses and the whole dinner seemed to be rushed. We like to go and enjoy our meal and drinks. Service was not as good as it usually is.
Decided to celebrate New Years Eve by doing Brunch instead of dinner. This Brunch was the BOMB!!! Absolutely the best Bloody Mary i have ever had!!! And the buffet was one of the best ever!!! Can’t say enough good things about it. Jennifer, our waitress, was great!!! Attentive without smothering!! I will be back...soon!!!
I have been several times to Rick Erwin's West End Grill. I have enjoyed it. I decided to try Rick Erwin Nantucket Seafood Grill with my fiancé for my birthday 12/29/17. First we were seated at a table next to the window on very cold night, which had a big draft making it unbearable sitting there. There were several other tables available when they seated us. We were able to move. The waitress said she heard we were celebrating a birthday. My fiancé had 3 course meal with claim chowder, salon, white chocolate coconut mouse. The soup was not good. It tasted like the bacon was burnt not smoked. The salmon was over cooked. I ordered the scallops & they were over cooked as well, with too much hollandaise sauce over powering the dish. The waitress did not even come back to wish a happy birthday or anything. We talk to the young kid who was the manager when we were leaving. He said the waitress should have brought desert, said happy birthday. He said sorry that did not happened. That was all he said, and did. This restaurant is suppose to be a 4 plus star restaurant. It barely is a 2 star restaurant for the price of a 4 star restaurant. I could not believe this was a Rick Erwin's restaurant.
We dined at Rick’s before heading over to Peace Center for a show. Dinner was amazing! Every bite was very flavorful! Love the atmosphere and friendly service. We were also greeted by many staff members as we walked to our table. Thanks for a great evening!
the food was good, but our server had to re-check regarding my allergy concern as he delivered a salad with a "no,no" for me and he, the server never identified himself by name; the beverage server forgot our requests, the wrong dessert was delivered to my husband; did not tell us what the vegetables of the day were before serving; not everyone likes brussel sprouts;
My husband and I went to Rick Erwin’s on a date night before seeing On Your Feet at the Peace Center. It was a wonderful experience! Impeccable service, wonderful ambiance, and the food was outstanding! I had the scallops with roasted asparagus and bacon ragout. Awesome meal! We will definitely visit again! Our server, Victoria, was outstanding!
An amazing seafood restaurant inland in Greenville SC. I am a foodie and must say that the seafood quality was the freshest and highest quality. The wait staff is amazing- Victoria and knowledgeable. Mr. Erwin came by himself to ask how we enjoyed dinner and I must say it was like having a rock star introduce himself. It was obvious that this hands on restaurant is in the top .5% of restaurants. Great Experience
Service was good. Mussel appetizer - very good! Entrees of grouper and salmon were very below average. Side of lobster Mac and Cheese were forgotten. Rick Erwin browsed the tables and asked how are dinner was. We said “it was ok.” That was good enough for Rick! He moved on. Dear Rick - your food was below average- don’t drag Nantucket into your restaurant. You need to travel and see what quality food is - this may cut it for Greenville locals, but not for the rest of us.
Service & ambiance were outstanding. Jennifer was our server and she was fantastic. Food was good but not worthy of the prices. Let me put it this way, if I had a choice, I would pick Bonefish over Nantuckets. Bonefish is equally as good at a fraction of the prices.
I have been to Rick Erwin's 10+ times for business, this was the lowest of all of my experiences. My Family (4 Adults)and I were out celebrating a birthday, we were placed at a small table, that was wobbly. Service was good and attentive. We placed our entrees order and waited 30-40 minutes for to arrive this after an update at 15 minutes, saying our meals were coming right out. 7oz Fillet butterflied and cooked medium; it was blue-rare cooked. Delmonico steak ordered medium, served blue-rare. We ordered the loaded hash browns, they crispy on top, but undercooked beneath. We brought this to the waiter's attention, they brought the manager over whom understood our dissatisfaction and quickly comped 50%. While the manager and staff remedied our issues with the meal. We may choose other restaurants over Rick Erwins due to this experience
The food and area was superb. We were with my 97 year old Mother and was told the server would deliver the valet ticket before we were ready to leave. The car would then be there when we walked out and she would not have to stand there waiting. When I asked our server to do this and he replied very curt and short "that he did not have time and was busy!!" I did it myself, left no tip, car was there when we left, and left a nice tip fr the valet parkers!
Checking my credit card online the next day, Nantucket left a healthy tip on my credit card which was not approved by me and I am contesting!! A lot of nerve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The kitchen obviously had an "off" night. We arrived per our reservation @ 5:15. Service was slow bringing our glasses of wine and completely forgot to get 2nd glass for one person. Appetizer (not on menu but available) was brought out in reasonable time. We thought it was a basket of grouper bites but the grouper bites were tiny and few were served alongside a massive amount of cheese grits--what? no mention to grits!! As we waited for entrees, Manager (?) came to every table to explain this was the worst night they had experienced in 2 years -- the kitchen was very backed up. Everyone arrived @ once seemed to be @ least part of the reason! The table next to us left (party of 5) but we stuck it out as we were promised 1 hour and 1/2 after arrival time that food would be out soon. One person in our party got the fried seafood platter and was very happy w/ it. Desserts which were included in one of the menu offerings we took home as we just couldn't stay any longer. It was the most unenjoyable evening I have spent out @ dinner @ an upscale restaurant. When the bill came, there was no reduction in price so after we paid, I spoke to the waitress and let her know I was disappointed that there wasn't some sort of gesture in the form of discount and she replied in a surprised voice that she could speak to the manager if I wanted her to. I let her know it should have been done. When we arrived home, there was a message from the manager saying she had discounted our bill by around $50 so sounded like she took off our drinks. Won't return anytime soon if ever.
I always make this my spot after the Holiday concert at Peace Center. But one thing never changes, every time I have eaten, the server always comes around to every table and explains the kitchen is backed up due to too many people coming at once. This astounds me cause they know how many reservations were made and always after a concert (ends at 5pm) this restaurant will be FULL. I just wish one time, I would not hear that phrase. Otherwise, food and service was excellent. Glad we left the concert a little early (I knew what would happen) See you again next year after the concert!!!!!
We were a bit disappointed. We've dined here before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The server at that time was very informative and helpful with the menu. This time was a different experience. Our server was not well informed about the menu, had to leave the table and ask about something as simple as the clam chowder soup. She also had no idea about the wine menu. Being that it was our anniversary, and we let them know ahead of time that it was our anniversary, I feel the restaurant should have assigned a more experienced server to the table. It was very clear that this was the servers first or 2nd day, so I do not really fault her for this, but I do fault the floor manager for not being aware of the guests and their celebration. We will dine there again because the food was excellent. Hopefully it will be a better experience.
