Rick Erwin’s Nantucket Seafood
The wait was a little lengthy for food, but otherwise great!
Extremely slow service. Really ruined the evening with the wait for food so long. We took a first time guest and it was so disappointing to show her one of our favorite places.
Food was outstanding!! Thank you for a fabulous evening!!
Food was excellent, as was the service. Had the tuna and bbq salmon. WE were there prior to a ballet across the street. Andres managed the the food exceptionally well. We were able to enjoy a leisurely dinner and walk directly to our seats just prior to the curtain. Originally we were seated at a table for 5 right next to where the wait staff congregated. A little distracting. They quickly moved us upon request ... and they stopped gathering.
Didsapiunted the clam chowder was not offered
My wife and I were dining early before a 7:00 PM Peace Center show. Nick was our waiter. He was very professional and attentive but didn’t rush us. I had the Grouper and Caesar salad and my wife had the soup and salad. We also shared a calamari appetizer. We both loved the fried calamari which also had pickles and okra. My grouper was excellent. I’ll rate the Caesar ok as the dressing was not as flavorful as I prefer. The crab soup was hot and tasty. The hot loaf of bread hit the spot. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
We were hotel guests and went to have a nice dinner based upon photos and personal observation of a nice dining room. We were seated on time, but at a table in the noisy bar, not the empty dining room we expected from the photos and other advertising. The clamor and hooting and hollering resembled a sports bar. Some sports game was on two televisions and patrons were loud. Then, a party of 20-30 people came in, were seated close by, and made so much noise, we asked to be reseated in the middle of our meal. We were moved to the other side of the room, but it was still loud. The food was excellent, but if the dining room was unavailable, we should have been told instead of surprised with a table in the sports bar. I was planning to spend $500 or more on a nice meal, but we just ordered some appetizers and left.
Overall good seafood and menu options. Nice staff and service.
Great food, great service. It was our 35th wedding anniversary and we were treated like royalty.
Thank you so much Rick Erwin's Nantucket.
Dinner before 6:30pm Broadway show at Peace Center. All great, food, service, ambiance. Our 5th time eating there and always exceptional.
We were staying in the Marriott hotel for the night.
Left the play early and tried to go to bar for a drink and desert at 8:30 pm. We were told by the receptionist that they were closed and could not seat anyone. Their hours on Open Table say they close at 9:00pm.
Pleaded our case by telling her we had enjoyed dinner there earlier ($200+ bill not mentioned) and only wanted a drink and desert. Didn’t matter. They were closed and sorry we can’t seat you. Disappointed with the abrupt end to the evening.
Excellent as always
My wife and I enjoy coming to this restaurant for special occasions!
Dinner before Broadway play @‘Peace Center, started with crab bisque my wife had seared scallops & risotto &!i had Grouper. Both were terrific. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive. Great start to the evening.
We recommend this restaurant . Prompt service . Spacious dining area and good food and wines.
Great ambience. Two problems. Risotto portion with the Seared Scallops was extremely small. Biggest problem was bar training(or lack of). Friend ordered a Champagne Cocktail, but the bar sent a glass of sweet white wine. Server did not know what a Champagne Cocktail is and apparently the bartender was also unaware. Ones expects more from an establishment like Nantucket Seafood.
We ate at bar. Food delicious, bar staff very friendly and entertaining. Ambiance was romantic.
I booked 1 hour and 45 minutes before my show at the Peace Center. After sitting at table for an hour and twenty minutes we had to leave before being served our main course. I had to request bread - which I am glad I did so we had at least bread and our salads to eat. It made for a very disappointing experience!!!
Our server/waitress was excellent, her attentive toward us was outstanding. My husband had the ahi tuna and wasn't very pleased (not very fresh). I had the grouper and it was very good. Bloody Mary's needs to improve to be more tasty. Little bit more on the pour on a glass of wine. This was our 3rd time having dinner here.
Food and wine were excellent. Rick came to the table and welcomed us - it's always good to see the owner at an establishment. It shows he is on top of things. Our waiter, Andres, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Three at my table rated their Tuna as ok. My salmon was outstanding. Table was across from the bar and noisy. Waitress forgot my salad order.
This is fine dining without the pretention.
A lovely and classic setting looking out at the holiday ice skaters and the twinkling lights was perfect. Service was impeccable, but not overly serious as you sometimes experience in restaurants of this calibur.
The prices are high, but they deliver on taste and presentation. I had the parmesan encrusted grouper. My spouse had the tuna. Both were perfect, ample portions. The asparagus was fresh, and large, but had no seasoning. It was easily remedied with a little lemon. The beet salad before dinner was excellent as was the shrimp cocktail.
One observation for others : steak only or surf and turf options are limited to two, and are very expensive. It was not a bother for us because we wanted fresh, excellently prepared seafood anyway and that to me is why you go to a place like this.
Service was outstanding and food was great, main course took a bit longer than anticipated but was worth the wait! Thanks!
We love Rick's and celebrate nearly all of our family's birthdays at their restaurants, but last night was beyond disappointing. $250+ for a dinner that took 3-hours. We spent most of the night looking at our empty plates/glasses wondering where our server was.
Brittany did a excellent job serving my wife and I for my wife’s birthday! All of the food was great along with the atmosphere.
I had a really good experience at Rick Erwin’s. The food was really good and I know seafood. We had been tired of hotel food so we wanted a decent experience and everything about Rick Erwin exceeded our expectations. Aryton was an excellent server; please forgive me if I spelt his name incorrectly. He was knowledgeable and sweet.
Nantucket is very classy and the food is impeccable. We went there a birthday celebration. Very expensive, but a great experience.
This was a first-year anniversary celebration for us and it was perfect. The staff was professional, appropriately conversational, and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth the money.
Nantucket is our go to restaurant for Dinner prior to Peace Center show.
Seafood is always fresh and great. I violated my rule of requesting my seafood dishes without sauces and glaze. Accordingly, my ahi tuna was too sweet for my taste. My fault. I will return and order my fresh seafood simply prepared.
I ordered the Surf and Turf. My entree was $78.00. I was not concerned with the price. But when you spend that kinda money your expectations are set at a higher standard. My steak was suppose to be Med well. The steak was served rare, they took it back to cook correctly. The manager brought my steak to me, had me cut into it and the manager said oh my it is well done. He did not offer to cook another! He walked away and spoke with our waiter then the waiter came to me said I see it is well done we will give you a free dessert! We have been enjoying Rick Erwins for years! We will not be back. We spent $152 dollars that evening and it was not worth it.
Get your act together Rick!
The service and food where very good. Booked this for my daughters birthday and they made her feel very special
Everything was awesome. We enjoyed the service, the food, and atmosphere.
Our server seemed to forget that when you order a bottle of wine, it's nice to occasionally fill the glasses. He seemed upset that we were going to split our dinner even though we ordered a soup and an appetizer. We were celebrating my sister's birthday and he never offered us a birthday desert. Which was fine as we were too full but it's always nice to be offered and is usually customary.
We had to return the oysters Rockefellers as they were fishy- definitely not fresh.
The parm crusted grouper was fantastic as were the shrimp cocktail, lobster and the She Crab soup. So I would still recommend this restaurant as the majority of the food was great.
Isaac and the rest of the staff were perfectly attentive (not overly attentive, not neglectful). The she crab soup, BBQ salmon, and Parmesan-crusted grouper were all delicious, but we felt that the creamed spinach was much too rich (cheesy) and salty. The key lime pie and créme brûlée were sheer perfection.
Atmosphere was pleasant and not noisy. Social distancing was adhered to, but the restaurant wasn’t all that busy when we were there (5:30 until 6:30 p.m.). Their website states that their servers are masked, but that was not the case when we were there.
We had drinks at the bar for a half an hour and were then seated…Appetizers came out pretty fast and both couples had the Oysters Rockefeller…It was good but not great.
Then we ordered salads in between and these came on time, but dinner was delayed so they sent us a ship cocktail while we waited and had drinks…
The seafood dinners were great, just a bit slow coming out and overall it was a fun dinner and we would return..
Andreas and his team were amazimg! This was our first date reataurant and we celebrated the first month of marriage there. They greeted us with champagne and Happy Anniversary card.
Food was great, service was spot on and diligent. Great date night as well a dinner with a group of friends.
Birthday Celebration. Great location. Food and service was great!!
Fabulous restaurant, excellent meals, service by Lindsey and her team was exceptional. Would highly recommend Rick Erwin’s Nantucket Seafood to anyone. Can’t wait to dine there the next time we are in Greenville. Thank you Mr. Erwin.
Service was wonderful and charming
