Richardson's Cuisine of New Mexico
Great food service and ambiance. One of the best restaurants in Phoenix!
They cram too many people into the restaurant. The service was horrible. We were there an hour before we got our appetizers. The food is mediocre at best and the margaritas were watered down. When we complained about the service they said they had a big party in the next room. Not my problem. Don't have big parties there if you can't handle it.
The best burgers and fries. I usually go enchiladas or quesadillas but every now and then....the green chili burger. Fries are crisp on outside. Yum
Our family loves Richardson’s! It always the go to spot on the way to or from the airport for us. Great service and always delicious food.
We love this restaurant! We were celebrating our son’s birthday and we had a great time as usual. This is one of our favorite places in Phoenix.
Dylan really took care of us tonight. We had a great time!
Richardson's is always amazing food, great service and a nice atmosphere. The portions are large, we always enjoy the leftovers for lunch the next day.
Richardson’s is always a great place to eat! We went there on a Wednesday for my birthday and it was awesome as usual. Great seafood options and a well rounded regular menu makes for a great evening had by all! The only anomaly in the evening was no cucumber available for the Hendricks and Tonic drinks I was having.
Great food with options, if New Mexico cuisine is not your thing. Personally I love NM cuisine, so it’s not an issue for me, however there were a couple that weren’t into spicy foods and they found themselves a couple of dishes they really enjoyed. We will be back.
Food was fantastic. Noise level was very high--music and chatter made it almost impossible to carry on conversation. Service was great.
Great food and margaritas! Service was exceptional. Will be back!
Usually, we live this place. It isbobe of our favorites. This time, the service was poor, and the food was good, but not the usual great.
Food absolutely excellent. Cody, our server was wonderful, the best!
Great place to eat for atmosphere and food. If you love New Mexican style flavor this is a must. Very busy so service can get spotty.
Honestly, it was not the best. Ambiance was pleasant as we sat in the outdoor area. The 5 of us ordered several drinks, appetizers, & dinners. The drinks were all various types of margaritas & nobody was particularly happy with their choice. Nothing outstanding about the appetizer of chips, guac. & salsas. The dinners range from approx. $14 - 40 ish (approximately). The dinners were ok, but nothing to write home about. Overall, it was not a good value for the $300 we spent. Even the server lacked personality. Too bad because I like his other restaurants- but this one is a no go for me.
I was excited to take my friends from out of state here to show it off after bragging about it so much but it turned out to be a big flop. Maybe just a bad night but everything we usually get to eat was just horrible this time around. Don’t think we will be back unfortunately.
Food is always great! More often than not I get stuck at the worst table the half booth and two uncomfortable wooden chairs. That table should be for walk ins not those that made a reservation a week in advance.
We were disappointed with both the quality of food and atmosphere. We had much higher expectations.
The enchilada sauces are incredible. So rich in taste and high quality food.
Our first time to experience Richardsons after having heard great things for some time. The food and service lived up to high expectations. Very rich and flavorful menu items, and specials were indeed special. Ability to appreciate the robust flavors of the southwest is a must. Great experience overall.
NEW MEXICAN STYLE ---ALWAYS GOOD. HAVE BEEN MANY TIMES AND NEVER DISAPPOINTED. SERVICE IS ALWAYS ABOVE PAR TO
It was mom’s birthday and I brought them here. Mom loved her burger and so did dad. I got the chicken pasta but I feel that it had too much sauce. It was delicious though.
The highlight of the night was the elephant garlic spread .
Always a great evening going to Richardson's. Living in Vegas, food is a way of life and I always plan a trip to Richardson's any visit to Phoenix and I am never sorry I did! Great atmosphere, outstanding food, and good service.
First— I called 3 different days in a week trying to add more guests to my reservation and answering machine said leave message and someone would call me back— but never did. Second- Swordfish and $49 Halibut was over cooked. Third-Server dropped a glass of red wine on floor right next to us— getting wine on one shirt and on legs of another and wasnt sure if it got on dress or not till got home do to dark inside—server never asked if got on 2 of the party. Forth— which isn’t really a complaint but surprised— your red wine is server WAY too cold. You serve it at the same temp as white wine which is too cold for red. Had to let it sit for 15 minutes or cup in our palms to warm up.
Very crowded and busy Saturday night resulted in poor service. The atmosphere was so energetic that we could not have a conversation and I was getting a headache.
The food is consistently fabulous. Service the perfect speed. It’s been my favorite restaurant for 17 years.
We’ve been going there for nearly 26 years. It’s normally always good!
Great food and great service! Will definitely be returning!
Went for my friends birthday. Started with some wings and guacamole. Wings were overdone and guacamole had been sitting. Was definitely not made fresh. Ordered a chicken dish. I think chicken de mayo or something. Chicken was way overdone. The chicken was to be stuffed with spinach, Asiago cheese, and sundried tomatoes. Spinach was scarce. Cheese half burnt. Way too many sun dried tomatoes. Felt like I was eating tomatoes with dry chicken. Didn’t stay for dessert. Won’t be back.
We usually come in for breakfast and decided to try dinner this time. As usual, we were not disappointed! Very large portions, great service & cozy atmosphere. We had a few items from the happy hour menu (duck chili relleno, chipotle ribs, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers) & shared an entree but couldn't finish. The green chili posole is absolutely delicious as well! Well worth our travel from Goodyear everytime!
Very cool. We ordered too much food though...
Out waitress had a complete knowledge of the menu. Offered helpful information when we were deciding on the menu. The food was outstanding. It was noisy. The food is worth the noise level.
Fantastic ambiance, bigger than life portions and amazing drink options. I highly recommend and will make this a go to the next time I’m in the area.
Anne: was Great . food was excellent!!!
Great food and ambiance as always!!!!
You can't go wrong here. There is something on the menu that will appeal to what ever your desire is that evening. The portions are tremendous so you will bring home leftovers.
We have dined here, the rokeri and dicks hideaway - love the food!!
I don’t understand why there are just not enough people working overall for the business levels.
We accidentally walked into the rokeri and stood there for 7 or 8 minutes before we saw any employee although there were people sitting at tables
Someone walked by and said I will find someone to help you.
At that point we realized we were in the wrong place and walked across to Richardson’s where we stood for an additional 5 minutes before we were greeted.
Our reservation was at 11:15 and we didn’t actually get to place our order until noon.
Our server was very overwhelmed and could barely take our order and we had to flag someone down every time we wanted to order something.
The food runner was more attentive to us than the server.
He delivered our food and made sure we had everything.
Food was delicious.
Richardson's is an attractive space, but extremely noisy. If you object to shouting at your companions, plan to eat on the patio, even in the summer. Of our four entrees, only the roasted pork mole was a stand-out (and generously portioned). Two pasta dishes and the Santa Fe chicken were okay, but nothing to go back for. Service was chaotic; instructions given to one server weren't communicated to another, resulting in courses being served in the wrong order. And then there were little things that went wrong: no ice in the water, no salt and pepper on the table. Especially given the prices, you can find better Southwestern food elsewhere. And that's a shame because Richardson's used to have a great reputation.
Excellent experience and will definitely go there again!
