Richardson's Cuisine of New Mexico
sliced hatch green chile, with cheddar topped with house green chile
jumbo shrimp and scallops over fresh pasta, white wine sauce, tomatoes, spinach, parmesan
smoked pork roast simmered in red chile, rice, beans & cheese
We sat outside. It was very dark. Otherwise it was good food and service.
Food always good but to noisy and waitress was only OK.
Absolutely outstanding. The food was wonderful! Cameron provided the best service knowing the perfect moment to interrupt and never hurrying us.
Don’t miss the chance to enjoy authentic New Mexican culinary excellence.
It’s not really their fault. They were so short staffed. We were there for 2 1/2 hours only to receive food that had been sitting in the back for a while. This is not the old Richardsons. But I’m not sure there are any of the old restaurants left after this pandemic. There are so few service workers left
Great food, perfect atmosphere and a truly wonderful Rue Old Fashioned.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere, as always!
Extremely loud and too many people standing around the bar. Made it difficult to get to the rest room.
Waiter was terrific. Food was fabulous!!
We always gorget just how much food you get here and last night was no exception. Our party tried new things and we were not disappointed. Delicious, the aromas are mouth watering and the flavors are so unique to Richardsons. Southwest, elevated with authentic southwest and nouveau combinations!
Excellent service, fantastic food, and awesome ambiance.
We reserved an outside table for a Saturday night at 645 for 4 people. We arrived and they took us inside and they had instead set a huge table outside for a large group. We resisted and made them put us in the low seating area outside. The large table never got used which was annoying. And even without that table the service was very very slow. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and extra plates.
Many of our business lunches are held at Richardson's. Their food quality is excellent, and specials never fail to impress us and our friends. The ambiance inside and outside is great! If there is any caution, it's the large portions. But that's the charm, too. Best "leftovers" ever.
Richardson's has never disappointed. I don't think we've ever had a bad meal. It can get very loud and service can be a tad slow during lunch on the weekends. But it's worth it and we usually buy an extra meal or two to take home and freeze.
Appeared that our server was distracted for most of the evening. Once initially seated, waited some time to put a drink order in. We also ordered a bottle of red wine and it somehow found its way into an very cold fridge. Not an issue but then again it shouldn’t come across to your guest as a question of “is this bottle too cold?” Our party was planning on having it with our entrees, so we kept it to come to room temperature. Server only bought over 2 wine glasses and poured what appeared to be 8oz servings. Flattered but we intended to share the bottle with our other guests so we needed to ask for two more glasses and then pour wine into their’s. Lastly, when check was dropped we gave her our card and then didn’t see her for 5min. She walked past our table a few times. Finally I got up to find her and she was talking in the back to another server, asked if she was planning on bringing back the check and she said I thought I already did. She went back to the computer to run and then gave an excuse that the machine wasn’t working that’s why she hadn’t brought it back. I understand that everyone is having to find help or you may have new staff but when you charge on average $30 entrees on top of cocktails and wine and average $60 per person you shouldn’t have to chase down staff or tell your server how to serve wine. Food is great as always, but service is falling short making me hesitant to return.
We were all repeat customers of the Richardson's/Rokerij/Dick's Hideaway family. As always, the food was amazing and tasty, came out hot from the kitchen and looked as beautiful as it tasted. We happened to be here for a business lunch and in light of the pandemic this past 18 months, opted to eat on the patio. It happens to be that time of year in AZ and there were an excessive number of flies everywhere. I don't think the restaurant could have done much to help, as this is a problem at a lot of spots, but that detracted from the ambience of the place as we swatted them away constantly from our food and the table. Our table water emptied out fast more than once and our server could have checked in a couple more times to see if we needed anything, but otherwise, very good service and we were able to get back to the office within our allocated time.
Food as usual was absolutely excellent! but for some reason the misters on the patio were removed and the portable AC unit so for eight people in the booth we were dying of heat! Even though the manager on numerous occasions said she was bringing us an extra fan it never arrived. For some reason the bartender also made one drink at a time so it took an hour for us to get drinks and then another hour to order dinner which was pretty crazy! We then received our salads and our dinners basically at the same time so most of us ate two bites of our salad and then just started on a dinner so it wouldn’t get cold.
Richardsons was excellent! Zero complaints. Oscar the bartender a really good guy,
Service and food very very good.
This is a must try if you are in the area. Food is delicious. Try the huevos rancheros! Fantástico!
1st time this year and really appreciate the quality and the service. Great as usual Nice to have ballets back.
Food was amazing and portions were large.
Richardsons is our go to brunch spot. Delish food and incredible mimosas await you!!
This place is awesome. You have to try it!!!!!!!!
Went here for brunch. So dark inside....I think that's their "thing", sadly too hot to sit outdoors (patio looked really nice!) I ordered the American Breakfast as I'm allergic to garlic & onions and most Mexican food has those in the ingredients. My bacon came as chopped up little pieces???? and not that much of it.... Service was great and their mimosas were fantastic!
Great cuisine! We were very excited and looking forward to dinner. The meals did not disappoint. Their seafood was fabulous and one of our patrons got the seafood gumbo which was such a creative take on the traditional gumbo. The seafood in that was spectacular, the cream sauce and pasta, beyond words! We are definitely adding this place to our regular cycle!
Good service and excellent food and drinks. Portions are quite large so you can take home leftovers and enjoy later
Out of town guests
We had reservations at 5:30, ordered drinks at 5:45, didn’t even get to order food until 6:30. Not once did we get asked to order food before then and then the food took forever to come. We were at the restaurant for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Further, the food was good, decent but average and the prices were extremely high for the food. I feel bad for the waitress because I think they were definitely short staffed but a manager should be walking around apologizing to people.
Opentable had the option to not choose outdoor seating- which we chose, given the 120° weather. We arrived to an outside table and a shrug- ‘we seat all online reservations outside.’
We’ve been coming here for decades, but service has significantly fallen in the last few. It will be a while before we venture back ( because the food itself is always wonderful).
Delicious, as always!! Friendly service, great menu!
Excellent food and Seth was very friendly and attentive. We were in the basement. Which had kind of a speakeasy feel. Loved it. It’s not inexpensive but the food was top notch and there was plenty of it.
Sat outside and the flies were horrible. Great food as usual. They need to do something about the flies in the outdoor patio and bar area.
The food was great the service is great the only disappointing thing is that if you’re a large party you’re unable to split checks which is extremely inconvenient that is something that the owner should definitely take another look at probably won’t go back because of that
Richardson's is a classic that never disappoints!
Delightful staff and the food is always delicious!
Loved Richardson’s! Great margs and wonderful carbs avodobo.
The flies were so horrible it ruined the whole experience. I had three guests from out of town and I was so embarrassed as our food was covered with napkins trying to keep them away. Some ended up dead in our drinks. It was awful!
Birthday meal at a cool venue; love the patio!
Consistently in every way and soooo delicious!!!
It’s one of my go-to’s all year long and for any reason
This was our first time here but it definitely won’t be our last. I though that Santa Fe had the best enchiladas I had ever had, but that title has now been replaced by Richardson’s. The moment you walk in the door the smell of burned mesquite wood hits you and you KNOW it’s going to good! Awesome atmosphere, amazing food and great service. You will not be disappointed.
