Rice & Company - Luxor Ratings and Reviews
We ate at Rice and Company prior to a show at Mandalay Bay. The service from the hostess to the servers were top notch - welcoming, informative and efficient. We had a mix of sushi and entrees and everything was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to return on my next visit to Las Vegas!
I generally dislike all seafood, due to the smell and "fishy" taste - I'm just not a fan.
And holy smokes I ate so much salt and pepper calamari! If I didn't know better I'd swear it was chicken.
Our hostess was extremely friendly, our waiter as well. All of our plates were excellent, and the appetizers came out quickly and were the perfect size.
Would come again and will definitely recommend to anyone.
We had high hopes for this restaurant but were disappointed; it was just OK. The chop chop bang bang roll was the best part of the experience (would actually return just for that), the poke rice bowl was completely flavorless (we sent it back). The rest of the dishes were average.
Great food and service as always. Darren, our waiter, was excellent. Chef was able to be creative with the menu and made a special order of Orange Peel Shrimp. Not a regular menu item. Manager checked on every table to make sure all was in order with every diner. Outstanding dining experience. Will definitely recommend to friends and return again.
Rice has always been a go to place when in Vegas (6 times a year). Something has changed. We asked the waiter about the calamari and he said it was amazing. We ordered it. It was little slivers of calamari with a heavy tempura breading. It was so full of grease we couldn't eat it. The war wonton soup had pork filled won ton that didn't look cooked. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, which I always order. It came with a sauce that tasted like BBQ sauce. There were no red pepper flakes or chili peppers in it. I asked the waiter what it was. He started stammering and then said he would have them remake it. It came back with a few chili peppers in it but no way did it taste or look like Kung Pao. I spent $81 on dinner and didn't really have anything to eat. I'm not sure I would be willing to try it again.
