the food was excellent and very healthy. Lots of full flavors. The bar on the first floow was a bit noisy. Seating upstairs is more of a quiet and pleasant dining environment.
Overall an excellent, locally sustained establishment.
Hands down the best place to eat in Olney. I'm not sure why we eat anywhere else- we keep trying the other places and nothing can compare.
The food was delicious and locally sourced- I love places that are community minded. The style is a nice combination of comfort food/pizza and adventurous foodie dining. Our servers were friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable, and worked really well as a team. We never felt unattended- but they also weren't all over us.
The menu is limited, but everything we had was excellent! I was surprised we could get a reservation on Valentine's Day (can only guess there were some cancellations.) We were seated immediately. Our server was friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing.
Excellent food as always. The service was not up to their usual standards, but it was Valentine's Day. We love this restaurant. :-)
Good neighborhood restaurant. Excellent wine list. Wines are 1/2 price on Mondays.
nice variety, excellent pizza cooked in stone oven. great fried oysters. Nice place to gather with friends.
Each time we visit be it with a group of just the two of us we have had a very pleasant dinning experence. The food and service are great.
Although I've dined at Ricciuti's previously, we were a bit disappointed this time at the menu selections.... so many of the entree choices were prepared with bacon and pork --we do not eat pork. While I understand that the restaurant buys locally . . . I wonder if there couldn't have been more options (for more conventional entrees) that were prepared without bacon or other pork products. Otherwise, the soup we ordered (Butternut squash bisque) and pizza were tasty, and we'll probably return to the restaurant again, but will more than likely check first to get an idea of what's on the menu when we do.
All the dishes are delicious. You can't go wrong with any selection. And the ingredients is all local and fresh.
EXCELLENT menu choices! I've developed a few favorites.
Our meal was good. We chose to have a full dinner: drinks, salads, entrees, bottle of wine and dessert with cordials. Everything was good. We have been to Ricciuti's many times, it is always consistent.
We usually enjoy Ricciuti's but I have to say that some of our food was disappointing this visit. The pizzas (we had several) were only lukewarm and dry when they were served and although we usually like the toppings, they were not particularly good or plentiful. Except for the squash soup, most of our party thought the food was okay, not great, this time. On the bright side, except for the fact that the food took a long time to get to us, the server did a great job and we certainly did not feel rushed in any way. We won't give up on Ricciuti's but we were disappointed this time.
the squash ravioli was not the best, and the porkchop was fatty, undercooked and very tough. the staff substituted another dish and comped it.
A new favorite! Perfect for biz lunch.
This is one of my go-to local restaurants. Great restaurant with always good food. I was seated upstairs, which is normal, and it could use an upgrade from dowdiness. Downstairs is charming and lively. Service is always good and attentive.
Excellent food, supporting local farmers/suppliers. Highly recommend for couples and small groups looking for a relaxing night out. Service was very attentive.
We used to go to that place often 5-7 years ago; it always had impeccable food with very upscale touches. When we came this time, non-pizza options were very limited. When I ordered Chioppino, I had very hard time locating seafood bits in a huge seramic pot filled with stew made mostly of canned tomatoes and potatos. At the same time, kids had no problem finding something to their liking. The server was good and efficient, but rather cold and impersonal.
Wow! Definitely get the wood-burning oven pizza. And the BEST kid's mac and cheese - my husband and I kept stealing bites to our 6-yr-old's dismay. Kid-friendly but also seemed nice for a possible romantic night out as it's in a beautiful, cozy old house with great ambience.
We've been here twice now as a couple, and I've come with friends on other occasions. The charm of the place is its commitment to local sourcing of food - these are listed on the menu. The food itself is good, but not spectacular. The pizzas are good, and I wish I had gotten one this past visit. Since we are vegetarian, the options are limited - I went for the squash/black bean chili which was nicely spiced, but not memorable.
We will probably go back - it's close to our home, and, with reservations, it's a relatively quick meal with good ambience.
Felt the menu was a bit overpriced for the amount of food, location and ambience of the place. Service was quite tedious, i.e., waitress came to table next to us several times, but never refilled our water classes. Never asked if we wanted another glass of wine, etc.
Getting dessert seem to take forever, and for $7, it was wimpy! Thought atmosphere a bit dated!
Consistantly fine food and service.
I found this restaurant to be very appealing. The outside is beautiful and was decorated nicely for Christmas. The service was excellent, although a little slow but it was during the holidays with a full house. Our server was very pleasant and attentive, the food was delicious and I found it to be an all around wonderful ding experience. I would highly recommend it.
The food is fantastic and the place itself is one of a kind.
Always a favorite. We've been eating here for years and are never disappointed. I especially like that all of the food here is locally sourced.
We have never had a bad experience at Ricutti's. We especially like that they are true local food supporters in their menus!
The food was great... service on the other hand not so good. We felt rushed during our meal, seemed that the server had somewhere else to be. Our drinks didnt come out correctly and also took a long time. Maybe i will just do to-go food since i know it will be tasty.
We loved this Restaurant. This was our first visit and it was perfect. The vegan chili was wonderful. The rosemary biscuits are a must! We will definitely be returning to try more of their awesome food.
This would be a good place to drop in with the kids on a night when no one feels like cooking. We went for a date night, and while I enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was just okay. It was tasty and well prepared, but nothing to rave about. I think the pizza might be worth trying, as all the locals seemed to be coming in for pizza take-out.
The food is excellent and the restaurant is very cute! It's been packed every time I've been there (3 different times on a weeknight.) Seems to be quite a popular place!
Seated and greeted promptly but not in a rushing manner, attentive but understated service. Food was executed very well, I had the beet & arugula salad (the beets were just a touch firm, but that's being nit-picky), the Pizzas were cooked perfectly, and my bourbon was a healthy pour. Delishka!
You cannot go wrong with any menu item in this restaurant. LOVE the soups, the sweet potato biscuits, the pasta dishes, the sausage dishes and of course-save room for the chocolate and fruit pizza....YUM!
We have always had a great experience at Ricciuti's. The food is wonderful and the service very attentive but not hovering. Wine list has many winners and the brick oven pizzas please everyone in my family. We often return here for special occasions or family celebrations.
Ricciuti's is an oasis in the up-county desert of chain restaurants.
Had a company dinner here - it was a small group of us but the atmoshere was very cozy, attractive, food was excellent - pizza a notable item!! and our server had an appreciation for our groups sense of humor...loved it would go back!
Great for dates! Nice but not too pricey- good price range. And the best bread pudding ever!!!
We have been to Ricciuti's before. It is always good. The menu is based on locally produced and cultivated ingredients. I love reading about where things came from. This night I had a field greens salad with pear slices and gorgonzola cheese, and their homemade macaroni and cheese (cavatappi pasta, butternut squash, sun dried tomatoes, artisanal bacon and shaved parmesan among the special ingredients). It was an excellent meal. All four of us had equally satisfying experiences.
The menu was rich with interesting selections yet they also included some conventional dishes for those less adventurous. We were seated small cozy room with a gas fireplace - very nice. The lighting is very soft and there was no annoying muzak playing in the background. We will be returning.
I felt the food was overpriced. Pork chop was a little overdone even though it was pink on the interior. Friend who had pasta and chicken loved the pasta but the chicken was overcooked. I ordered a rail vodka and seeing the bill was charged for a Grey Goose. We were in a rush to go to the theater so didn't have time to change the bill.
Our dinner at Riccciuti's was very good. We had wonderful Italian dishes and great appetizers. My granddaughter made it known to our waitress that it was my birthday. So when dessert arrived, it had a birthday candle upon it. I was relieved that they did not make it very conspicuous with birthday song, etc., as some restaurants are apt to do. But the most charming and special part of this was that our waitress brought a birthday present to me from the restaurant: a pretty black china mug with Ricciuti's bright green logo lettering upon it, and inside matching bright green crinkle tissue and a tiny box containing two pretty and delectable handmade chocolates. It really made our evening, and was such a lovely gesture. Thank you!
The location is lovely and ideal for a pre theater meal. The old house is a wonderful location, but the upstairs table by the wait staff was less then ideal. The menu was excellent and seasonal, which I love, with the exception of the cheese plate, which was served with sweaty cheese in blocks that you can get from the supermarket rather than offering artisinal selections which would be more appropriate for the theme of the restaurant. The serving staff was not very efficient and did not offer the food in courses, but rather crowded the table with food and did not take away plates when they were empty. I think they are just young and need experience. I will go again and hopefully get another group of waiters.
