Very delicious, a bit more pricey than expected but the service from the wait staff is as exceptional as the food so the overall experience from those two aspects makes up for the value. Will definitely dine at Ricardo’s again!
So thankful we chose Ricardo's to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a busy night, but our waitress was so attentive. She helped us decide on our meal and it was phenomenal! Our Chateaubriand Filet was perfectly cooked and just melted in our mouths. The entire experience was amazing. What a local gem. Hands down, one of the best meals i have eaten!!
We were so looking forward to having dinner at Ricardo's for the first time. But from the moment we walked in, we should have known it was not going to be a great evening. First, while waiting at the host desk for our reserved table, managers and cooks and hostesses kept walking up and whispering to each other, waving hands around, and stomping off. We kept hearing snippets of what sounded like problems with bills, or gift cards, or customers. We weren't sure, but it was quite awkward.
We finally got seated (it seems that discussion was the only thing barring us from getting seated for about 10 minutes). Our server was nice, appetizers were ok and came out quickly. Bisque good, salad underwhelming...very herby and couldn't find the dressing. Then we waited about 50 minutes for our dinner after soup and salad. When it arrived, the steaks were done correctly. But the sides were awful. The fries were bland, the risotto was inedible (undercooked rice but so starchy you could barely pull it apart, and with no flavor). We sent it back and actually said it was "terrible." The server proceeded to thank us for saying something about 8 times, telling us "they needed to know." We assumed she was referring to the cooks. Interesting.
Something was definitely going on in that restaurant...and it was affecting the food. We were so underwhelmed, we skipped getting a birthday dessert. The bill, even adjusted slightly for the sides, was over $200 for three people who did not enjoy the evening.
Overall, not a great celebration night out. We won't be back.
Excellent but not obsequious service. Seated exactly at the reserved time. Aging really does improve the quality of the steaks. Cocktails were fine. Nice selection for appetizers. Fries in duck fat were wonderfully crisp although I didn't notice much improvement in flavor. Menu slightly confusing (what are the sides? what's Ricardo's hash?). The bartender is the best in town. Steak was slightly overdone (5-10 degrees) and compensated by a free dessert (since a $100 steak really ought to be perfect). A bit pricey for regular dining but will be back on occasions.
We were seated at table 1 according to our receipt. This was a special occasion for my boyfriend's birthday, and he was seated so that he faced the kitchen entrance with an open curtain looking at a Hunt's pump top container and storage unit. There shouldn't even BE a table in that little alcove. He said his steak was very good, but nothing spectacular -- for $45. The fries were tasty. My ceasar salad was very limp and very overdressed. The croutons were so large and hard I couldn't eat or cut them. I didn't finish it. My seafood pasta was very bland. The seafood was well (lightly) cooked, but the pasta was very limp and watery/oily with no flavor. I didn't taste any onion or garlic, and it was literally sitting in a pool of oil. Very greasy. Our waitress was ok, but didn't offer the beers on tap, which I noticed after my boyfriend ordered a bottle of beer that they ended up not having. By that time I saw a chalkboard of beers on tap, so he changed his order. SO not worth the money! We won't go back.
This place never disappoints. Thanks Rick and Marie for bringing an upscale restaurant to Lacey. I know you've been here for years but this year was my first visits and have been here 4-5 times. Love all the upgrades
Has wonderful handcooked meats and everything is well prepared, from the decor to the food. The presentation is amazing, and the steaks are immaculate.
It took over 20 minutes just to have someone come and bring us water and the service was so slow throughout first day. It was not even busy. It took forever to get our meals. We were celebrating a birthday and made reservations for 1130 AM. The food quality was nothing to write home about. We have been here before and had much better service and food.
Great food and staff. GM (Ryan?) was especially courteous and friendly.
I set a reservation using OpenTable and when I got there they had lost my reservation but apparently still had all of my information on file... had never been before. After a 30 min wait when the restarting was barely occupied we were stuffed in the back and forgotten. The food is good but I would expect that with the price.

I do not think that there is a better cut of beef within 100 miles of Olympia. The food is excellent, the wait staff is well informed of the offerings and are helpful and friendly.
Went for my birthday dinner. The food was great for the most part. Didn't care for the hash side dish, but the bacon risotto was really good. The green beans were a little underdone for our taste. Otherwise it was excellent. The only other "complaint" was the overly loud people two tables away... The tomahawk steak for two was cooked perfectly.
Waiter was very inexperienced. 93.00 steak was very tough.
The food was good, not great. The seating was the closest to McDonald's style I've experienced outside of a fast food restaurant.
Had a great time celebrating my wife's birthday. Our server was outstanding. Rob kept his eyes and ears on us so he could be attentive and responsive. The chefs were adapting to a new menu, but we both had old standbys. The steaks were marvelous !!! It's not an inexpensive place, but always worth it for special occasions.
Always great food and wonderful ambiance. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, but I only gave 4 stars for the service because there is sometimes a pretty long wait time to get drinks and/or appetizers, although the actual meals seem to come within a reasonable time once ordered. Go figure. Still it is definitely my go to place for a good atmosphere and a great steak.
OMG! The steak was to die for. It literally melted in my mouth. The ambiance was nice and and if it hadn't been so hot we would have loved to dine outside. The handcrafted margarita was wonderful and I cannot wait to go back. It is a little pricy for everyday dining; but for special occasions it can't be beat.
Ricardo's never disappoints. Everything on the menu is worth trying but the meats here are excellent. The staff are always happy, helpful, and friendly. It's our number one spot for special occasions, recommended to friends from out of town, or just to pop in for lunch.
My 3rd time to Ricardo's. Each time the food was quite good, but my first 2 visits the service was quite poor. First time the server never even apologized or asked for forgiveness. The 2nd time the server was gracious, apologized and paid for a fine I'd drinks. Today we had a great server, Jeff O. Be was helpful, have us enough space and refilled my water and tea regularly (my fellow diners were staying hydrated with wine). Third time was the charm! Go for the good food (2nd time eating the bruschetta, I had the salon special tonight and it was excellent) - ask for Jeff as your server.
Love the décor, service is great, lots of ambiance. Choose the large outdoor patio, indoor bar, cozy nook or quiet dining area. Also has a large banquet area. LOVED the herb butter served with bread. The ribeye was excellent, except for the heavy hand with the salt. Most amazing was the pasta bowties with a white sauce and corn. Overall, very nice.
Great burger at lunch, wish I was staying for dinner. The dry aged meat locker looks amazing!

Had to come back after we left as hadn't noticed they charged us for two prime steaks that we hadn't ordered .all in all a very disappointing evening.

Best place in town for a great steak. It certainly has become more popular since the last time we were there.
You may have to look a little harder to find Ricardo's but it's very worth it. The steak was the best I've ever tasted. They even got my brother to eat braised greens and love it. Waitress was terrific. Highly recommend.
It was my wife's birthday and I wanted to take her to, what I was told, the nicest restaurant in Lacey. Well, that wasn't what we experienced. We ordered two vodka martinis dry and up and they arrived wet and low on quanty - half of a small martini glass. We both ordered the filet steak. My wife ordered the 6oz and I ordered the 9oz. When the food arrived, I questioned the size of my steak. It looked like the same size (6oz) as my wife's. The waiter tried to assure me that mine was 9oz because they weigh them in the kitchen before grilling. I didn't pursue the topic any further. The steaks came with a baked potato and a vegetable, well sort of. The vegetable was kale and it was EXTREMELY salty. I told the waiter and he apologized and offered us broccoli rabe. This was delivered to our table by the new executive chief who also apologized for the salty kale. The broccoli rabe was also VERY salty. Now, I need to clarify that both my wife and I are not on low sodium diets. Like the average diner, we enjoy salt in moderation. If you have high quality food there is no need to over salt it. Back to our steaks, they were cooked correctly and very tender but again, very salty for both of us. The waiter did take 20% off our bill which still made it ($117) very expensive for what we got. Bottom line: We won't go back.
New York steaks cooked to perfection. For my partner they were seasoned perfectly. For me it was on the edge of too salty. But, to me that's better than under seasoned. That in no way made me not eat every bite delicious bite. From drinks, appetizers , entrées and sides, very tasty.
Wish our server would have been able to offer wine suggestions. We asked but she replied with 'we're changing up our wines so I can't really recommend anything specific' we asked again and she replied the second time with 'we haven't had any wine tastings lately so I just really can't recommend anything'. We ordered and liked what we had but servers should be able to at least make suggestions on what is offered.
Went here for a late night dinner before going out of state and everything was awesome. We sat in the lounge by the. At and our bartender was Jared and we had a great time conversing.

Twisted Pretzel - the best pretzel I had! I can eat 7 of these. I normally don't like salt on pretzel but even their salt was good. It was a huge pretzel so I had some for breakfast and still tasted yummy.

Ricardo's does not fail. We came right on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. It was our first time at the new location and we very much enjoyed. I ended up not caring for my salted scallops, way too salty. I would love to see duck back on the menu. My husbands meal (lamb) was wonderful and he very much enjoyed it. Our service and server were very accommodating and sweet.
