Come here often, as it's near work, and almost always after a long week. The pizza and cocktails are great. Pastas are good, as well, but not outstanding and pretty small portions. The authentic Neapolitan pizza is the gem here, and it's one of the best in the city.
Service is always outstanding and with a nice, open-airy environment and fun ambience -- this is a great go-to when you're in the mood for pizza.
Worth every penny, with outstanding food, and service.
Always great, they have the best gluten free pizza in New York
You know that an Italian restaurant is good when you have Italians eating on both tables beside yours. The excellent food is matched by excellent service. Well worth visiting if you are in NYC and love cracking Italian food.
Great pizza! Service was pretty good. We happened to show up in the middle of an Italian soccer game so the place was standing room only (they had the game projected on a big screen on the wall) and it was somewhat loud. It settled down and cleared out after the game. We would definitely go back again.
They said our open table reservation was not valid during the soccer game even though we had a table for 2 booked and gave us 2 stools to dine on.
Great food, great pizza and amazing music entertainment
Best gluten free pizza ever!
Love this place for Neopolitan Margarita pizza. As good as it is in Naples. Also had
proscuitto and mozzarella as an appetizer, which was good, but not exceptional. Tried
a bottle of their Primitivo and almost finished the bottle (we usually drink half a bottle).
Had their ricotta cheesecake which was good, but lacked the texture I like, which is course rather than smooth. Espresso was great. We'll be back.
Food was fair. Not a great selection for non pizza lovers. Salad was sandy and soaked in dressing .
We come to Ribalta pretty much every other month for a large group dinner. The staff is always helpful, warm, and accommodating, and always go above and beyond with us. Great food and drinks, great value, and a perfect regular go-to.
Best pizza outside of Italy! Owner is from Naples, try it!
While the food and service were satisfactory - I would not recommend bringing smaller children here as the menu does not reflect any children options, not even child sized portion salads. Disappointing because it was described as “good for kids”.
Meatball app was decent. Pizza was soggy. Would not recommend for pizza.
I’m Italian and I MUST say I’ve eaten one of the best pizza ever. My girlfriend ordered a pasta and also that one was delicious. I like so much the fact that the restaurant is offering REAL TYPICAL ITALIAN SPECIALITIES.
The ambience and the staff was very nice. Full of Italian waiters, I felt like at home in Italy!
Suggested for real Italian food! :)
Servers should not clear the table before all guests are finished eating.
Thank you for making our family celebration special! Having the semi-private space in the back was an unexpected surprise to find in NYC.
Booked this for an anniversary and was unfortunate to get put on a table next to the serving station. It was incredibly loud and spent the night hearing the servers complain about tables across the restaurant, being bumped and knocked by servers, and trying to hear over the noise of dishes. Waiters took our cocktail glasses and didnt offer for refill, and then pushed us out with the bill. Assume our anniversary note was missed, and was really disappointed overall. A big shame as the food was actually incredible!
Excellent pizza--that's what you are here for. Other offerings (such as salads) seem ordinary, but one look at the pizza over in the back of the restaurant and you will know how Ribalta creates fantastic crust. I prefer the pizzas that include tomato sauce rather than the "white" ones. Noise level is very high.
Great food great service
The food was great but they were missing many items from the menu and one of the ovens was broken.
Hands-down, the best spaghetti pomodoro I had ever had. The tomatoes are flown in from Mt. Vesuvias in Italy and are the most delicious tomatoes you will ever eat. The pizza is outstanding as well. I would like to say that the place is a good value but keep in mind you have to pay more for quality ingredients. Well worth the price. Outstanding food, service and quality. Highly recommended. Great for families too.
The best and true Napolitan pizza (and appetizers and primi if you would rather), in a comfortable and very gioviale atmosphere! If you want a true Italian experience, go to Ribalta when Italian teams are playing football! This is a wonderful place in all aspects.
It was very loud but the overall atmosphere was fun and energetic. The portions were rather small for the price. The service was excellent.
Food was tasty but the amibiance was horrible. One of the servers must have been a big Gloria Gaynor fan bc I will Survive was turned up then down then up then even higher over the course of the song. Our server was kind but pushy and did not allow us time to review the full menu before coming back to the table on three separate occasions. While I understand that table turnover is valuable, I would have appreciated a few more minutes and space to talk over food options with my date.
Not the best pizza I've had, but a very comfortable place to spend an afternoon talking to friends and the food is pretty good.
The pizza was a little soggy, too much topping I think and not enough heat in the oven
Very slow service, felt like the waiter was ignoring us most of the time. The food itself was very good, we really enjoyed the meatballs and Brussels sprouts.
A great Pizza Napoletana! An the appetizers were great too. My new fav pizzeria in Manhattan.
Best pizza in NYC??? Are you insane?
Went to this place based on the raves and boy were we disappointed. Mediocre pizza at best (it's still pizza, folks). Service was NOT good - maybe it was his first day - but we had to remind him to bring our drinks AFTER our food arrived. That was after we had to flag him down, while he was just standing by the computer for 10 minutes staring at it???
Entrees came 1st, pizza came 10-15 minutes later??
Maybe we were there on an off night, but we will NOT be going back.
Superb as always! Best pizza in the city IMO. Service and atmosphere terrific.
Food is absolutely delicious and truly authentic Italian. Staff is very friendly and welcomIng with positive vibes. Totally recommend!!
The best food with the best service in the best Italian environment. I am an Italian girl, and eating there with all those Italian people make me feel at home.
The best Italian food in NY
Best pizza we’ve had in NYC. Lovely restaurant and very nice staff!
Went with friends for a nice lunch in the city, but when we tried the calamari, i.t did not taste right. when we told the waiter what was wrong, he was very polite about i.t, but the manager was clearly insulted by our dislike in his calamari. He was very nasty and rude to all of us because we did not like a dish. he gave us a very hard time about i.t. The pizza was great, but the service ruined our meal and our day in the city. They did miss ingredients out of my meal ( i️ ordered a pizza with black truffles and truffle oil but neither of which were on the white pizza). since the pizza tasted good, I️ did not send i.t back. Then the bill came and they charged 26$ for a personal pie which did not have the truffles so I️ complained again and asked them to change the price. He also said I️ was wrong and gave me extreme sass and attitude which was not appreciated. He still made me pay for the truffle pizza but said he would a discount, 5 dollars off the 80 dollar meal. When we walked out of the restaurant, the manager made a rude remark, “stupid kids.” I️ will never be going back there.
La pizza e assolutamente molto buona
Locale molto rumoroso
We loved Ribalta. Food was amazing as always. This time we are a bit unluckyas we had to sit close to the main door. Every time someone opened the door, we got a blow of freezing cold air in our backs. So, if you have the option (we didn’t) stay away from the door.
Great pizza, appetizers and deserts. Great if you want a casual and delicious authentic Italian dining experience that includes a build your own or classic pizza dish
