Very good. Pizza napoletana numero 1 in NYC.
The food was great our 1st and 2nd time there. But this last time was a big disappointment. The pizza was limp and lacking in terms of ingredients (I get that it was supposed to be thin crust, but the fact that folding it in half still made it limp was just... no). The Margherita Rossa pizza had no basil whatsoever, just mozzarella and tomato sauce; big difference from when we ordered it way before. The Pepito pizza was... well, it fell apart before we could even take bites out of it because it was that limp; there was no crunch to the crust, no hold; barely saw and tasted the mushrooms. The Capricciosa pizza was probably the better one out of the 3 we ordered; it held it's shape somewhat, it was flavored, and we actually saw the ingredients and tasted them. The meatballs were overly salty, as was the Basil Pesto gnocchi. The Black Truffle gnocchi wasn't bad, but take it from someone who's been there before, there's a difference in portion (it's smaller than before). Only issue we had with the 2 gnocchi was that they were way too chewy, almost like they were overcooked. The Rughetta, Avocado, and Caprese salads were good, I'll give them that. The Zucchine Scapece was on point and delicious. Sauteed Shrimp and Roasted Octopus were good too, but not quite on par with what we had tasted our first time there. Service was sometimes great, sometimes negligent; hit or miss, but it was busy that night, so it's understandable. At least they were able to accommodate a party of 9. They were nice enough to offer to slice the pizza into 8 slices instead of the original 4, but then we couldn't locate our waitress sometimes to order more stuff. Out of the 7 glasses of lemonade we ordered, 3 were sour and 4 were somewhat watered down; but to be fair, they did replace it when asked. Overall, would we be going back again? Probably wouldn't go out of our way to do so anymore, but we're also not going to be avoiding the place either. It just won't be our 1st choice.
Always consistent. Excellent, authentic, real Italian.
I'm from Naples and I'm very demanding about pizza. I must say that the quality of the pizza we ate was excellent, absolutely unexpected. Congratulations!
Good pizzas and salads. Very popular with soccer fans.
Everything was fine, with a wonderful food and Italian atmosphere. As Italian, I feel the experience as if I was in some places of my country, relaxed and comfortable as in my hometown.
The food was fantastic and food came out relatively quickly. We loved the pizza and the cocktails and we would definitely recommend getting a reservation before going in order to avoid waiting 30+ minutes.
Our waitress was very transactional and seemed annoyed when my daughter did not understand the differences in the pizza styles. The food was good but her transactional style ruined our experience.
Ottima pizza, locale troppo rumoroso per i miei gusti. Prezzi nella media per New York; circa 30 $ pizza e birra
Very Nice Restaurant. Excellent Pizza!! Wonderful place and very gentleman staff
Casual spot. Very, very good pizza. Good for families. Better for small groups.
We enjoyed our pizza at Ribalta, but the music was so loud and bad I might add, that we had a hard time enjoying each other’s company. I had a reservation for 8:45pm, we arrived at 8:50 and were not sat until 9:15pm. What is the point of having a reservation if you are not able to sit down upon arrival? Service at the table was ok, but I wasn’t impressed by the team at the front door. I had to hunt down someone to tell them we had a reservation and then they said “ok” and let us wait outside with no update until I went in to ask again about our table, they said something about the previous table staying long. I also didn’t like the drink and desert menus by tablet. Is this an airport lounge?
The mayor of Bonefro, Molise - "Ziti alla Genovese - hard to find this dish, as perfectly cooked as this, in a restaurant in Italia!"
Todo muy bien hecho.
Very nice and original neapolitan pizza, defineteley one of the best in New York
"We love the relaxed feeling and authenticity of Ribalta. We definitely will be returning again. All the food is delicious our favorite is The Spicy Salami Pizza with the spicy oil, it is amazing. Service is always well-timed and friendly at the tables. This time we sat at the Bar And had great service as well. Vincenzo and Victorio were both professional, attentive and friendly.
To be fair, the building was undergoing long term renovation and the entire front entrance of the restaurant was walled off. That being said, given all of the options elsewhere, it is hard to justify dealing with the current state of the restaurant. I hope the construction ends quickly for their sake. We were one or two parties in the restaurant during lunch time.
Tucked away, easy to miss this little restaurant is fabulous, the ambience is very New York meets Italy. It’s buzzing and quick paced. The pizza is fantastic! Really fantastic! Service is great and wine is good too.
We had a large group (7) who met up at Ribalto for dinner before a concert. Service was very pleasant and helpful, the food came promptly and was very tasty. We all had pizza - they have a list of both red and white pizzas; we tried both and were very happy. I particularly enjoyed the quattro formaggi (white). The noise level grew during the time we were there - it is a very energetic place, but we were still able to hear each other talk. I wouldn't recommend it for a quiet intimate dinner. One other thing, the building housing the restaurant is under construction, so at the moment there are no external windows in the restaurant and you enter through a rather empty corridor. This was fine though, it didn't really impact our experience.
Everything that had to do with food about this place was excellent. We had the seafood salad and spinach salad, and a pizza. All excellent, and the service was superb. I gave it less that all '5's because there is construction underway in its building, and it's a bit of a distraction, so that hurt the overall score. But, that will pass, and I expect the food will remain excellent.
We had two excellent pizzas, one with zucchini and mint that was unusual and tasty. The waitress talked us into ordering two large square pizzas but we really only needed one square and one smaller round for the 6 of us. We also ordered the white wine special which was just $40 for a bottle. All around a good deal for good food and a fun vibe. Be sure to make a resi on the weekends!
Loved the food- way too loud even for a 16 year old who I was having dinner with
Would have rated ambiance even higher if it wasn’t for the construction
Great spot for gluten free pizza -- good place to go with a mixed bunch
I love this place. One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC
Great food, love visiting everytime I visit N. Y. C.
Had a reservation and ended up waiting 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. Once we did get a table the waiter was very kind and prompt, although they ended up charging 5$ for sparkling water without letting us know. Still, the ambience was stunning, vibrant and very lively. Most importantly the pizza was immaculate and easily one of the best I ever had. The plain Margherita is fantastic and it's on my list every time I'm in the area.
Restaurant under construction
We really enjoyed the food that was tasty, great quality and satisfying. So pleased with the service from the hostess, waitress and others around. We were delighted with the efficiency, professionalism and comfortable approach of the hostess and waitress. The only regret was that we wished the establishment offered choice of more affordable wines. Overall we would go back for sure.
Food was delicious. Service was a bit uneven-I think because it was so busy the night we were there.
MY go-to pizza place when I want to feel like I'm in Italy - LOVE IT! Great pizza, salads, vegetable, yum!
Bel locale ,ottimi prodotti pizza eccezionale...staff molto competente bel
Modo di fare!! In particolare Vincenzo.. bravi Tutti
Restaurant currently under renovation. Food and service still good though.
Ribalta was exactly what we were looking for...authentic and delicious pizza, lovely glass of Montepulciano, quiet enough for conversation, relaxed atmosphere and good value. My Italian born husband is very picky, so when he says, “Buono,” I know we’ve picked a winner!
Entrance was odd with the construction and if you don’t like European soccer, you won’t enjoy the rowdy ambiance
Food was great. Service was fast and waitress was very nice. Will definitely go back
Gran experiencia. Muy recomendable.
Everything we ate was delicious and our server was terrific! Hope to come back.
The pizza crust was soggy and disappointing
The BEST pizza in the world!!! Every time I’m in MY it’s a MUST!!!
