Great pre-theater place. Anna was a great waitress!!! Then off to Hamilton!!!!!
We have been to Rialto 3 or 4 times in the past, this time the food was a little off but overall a great place to go.
The ribeye steak was a very poor choice. The quality of the beef was simply awful.; it was very thin, and had a lot of gristle. For the price they charged, I would have expected a better cut of meat.
My waiter was ambivalent at best. The featured corn bread was never offered, and no one ever asked whether the steak was cooked properly.
They were very nice considering that some of our guests did not show up (4 instead of 7). The server was very friendly and gave great service.
Good theater menu.....$29.95 3 course dinner and 40% off bottles of wine. Location is convenient to the Buell and the staff makes sure to get us there in time!
A great dining experience with excellent food and service. We enjoyed cocktails and a good meal with wine, followed by coffee and dessert. We especially appreciated the server who understood we were trying to make curtain call at the DCPA and timed our service perfectly.
Dinner before seeing Hamilton. Also celebrating my best friend’s birthday. Magical night!
Very convenient for theater and theater parking. RibEye steaks were thin and tough but priced at $32.
Rialto Cafe delivers on quality and service every time we go - whether it is before a show, date night or simply casual meals - their service is friendly, food tasty and delightful choice of wine and beer. Don't miss their awesome "Happy Hour" from 3-6 - excellent choices of food from $5-$8 plus reasonably priced drinks. Go, be happy, enjoy the 16th Mall - sit by the large windows in the bar area and watch people go by.
One of our favorite restaurants. Great menus and wonderful complementary cornbread!
We have been to Rialto often - usually before the theatre or CSO, or with another couple for a casual evening out, and every year, after we run the Runnin' of the Green 7K in downtown Denver, we come over for brunch. One of our favorite downtown restaurants!!
Excellent food, very good variety of steak, chicken, seafood. Plan on 1.5 hours to eat as the kitchen can get backed up between 5:00 and 6:00.
We love eating here when we go to plays at Buell Theatre. It is right on the 16th street mall, and the food is delicious. They also have a wonderful happy hour.
Our group loves the brunch menu at Rialto Cafe. The added danish and fruit bar is delicious.
Great place for mimosa brunch. Always love coming here. Love the entrees, pastry bar, and juice selections. Not sure if it is a permanent change or just the day we were there, but the cinnamon roll icing was thin and tasted more like whip cream, not great. Wish they would bring the champagne around in carafes for refills, since it's more fun to mix up the juice selection each time. Recommend trying the juices combined!
Great service. Waiter was excited about the. Ew chef and her specials. I cleaned my plate and he was excited to tell her.
We had dinner at Rialto prior to going to the theater. They had a special menu and wine discount for theater goers. We ordered off the theater menu and the food was great. I had the salmon and loved it. Our waiter was very attentive as we were on a schedule to eat and then get to the theater. We will definitely go again.
Attending the theatre
We were seated immediately. Our waiter was very attentive. We purchased off the theater menu. That must have signaled the waiter because he made sure that we had a nice meal, desert and made it out the door on time. I had the buffalo meat loaf wrapped in bacon. It was very good. We had chocolate cake that was so rich that we split one and took the other one home. Over all very good and fit into our pre-theater dinning.
Great service and fun ambience. Perfect for our dinner before seeing Hamilton!
My birthday dinner was delicious! We also went to see "Hamilton" that night at DCPA and so we had the theater menu. The service was outstanding and the food came quickly. I always enjoy the warm cornbread while waiting for dinner. The Rialto is my favorite place to eat before going to the theater! It's also nice to have close and free parking at Independence Plaza.
For the most part an average experience at Rialto. Though this was the worst service we have ever received. The server asked if we were ready we all said yes and she just walked away. It took us 10-15 mins to flag her down again to come back. She was like this the whole meal. Hope she was having a bad day, because it was really annoying and not busy enough in the restaurant to warrant the lack of attention.
As always, Rialto was a great experience. Excellent food and service are standard at Rialto. From the Chicken Pot Pie to the Osso Bucco to the salmon salad, we were very pleased with our meals.
We are frequent customers at Rialto, it is our go to place when we have theater tickets. It’s the service and food that keeps us coming back. We always request Ben to be our server as he always makes us feel special. He is so attentive and accommodating. Ben is a real professional .
The tables are a bit tight and the noise levels are on the upper level but that doesn’t stop us. We often bring friends and family.
Reservations are definitely recommended.
All six in our party ordered something different and everything was wonderful! Very nice decor, attentive staff and great location.
meetup with a friend - my burger was overdone... service was quirky but fun. This restaurant has been around forever! it's nothing outstanding but decent food.
The Rialto has become one of my favorite places to eat before a show at DPAC.
Disturbing incident of food contamination resulting in an allergic reaction happened that the restaurant
Should have handled differently .
One of our diners ordered the Cesar salad but said No anchovies
( he is terribly allergic to seafood) The salad came with anchovies !!!!!!
He said ' I need a salad without anchovies ' Well obviously they just took
The salad into the kitchen and removed the anchovies and sent it back.
He ate what he thought was a new salad. His lips swelled up,like crazy and there was concern
Over it progressing to his throat. Three servers were asked for Benadryl
No one had any or seemed very concerned. A fellow guest ran across the street to a drug store and got some. Our guest does not make a big deal of his allergy and should not have to shout about it to get a SAFE NON CONTAMINATED MEAL?
Dinner before going to the theatre was great! Good deals on bottles of wine and all the food was amazing.
We had a great meal with good service - would definitely return.
Second time in two weeks we've dined here. Both times we had excellent service by bar staff and restaurant staff. Wines by glass choices very nice. Good specials each night. The mussels on the happy hour menu are excellent and a complete meal. I had a decent chicken Marsala, husband had the glazed steak with frites; both delicious. There's also a theater menu, 3 courses, which is a great deal. Cafe Rialto is a favorite dining spot for us, before the theater. Never disappoints.
Bottomless mimosas and fruit and pastry bars were great but felt a little rushed. Food was nothing to rave about.
The restaurant was not at all what I was expecting from a hotel restaurant. When I saw pictures from the menu, I was expecting gourmet dishes that were really pretty to look at, but didn't have enough food on the plate to satisfy Chihuahua. To my surprise the portions were hearty and quite tasty. I had the burger, which they prepared special for little ole me. They really catered to my group of 8 women and made us feel welcomed. If I lived in Denver and was in the area, I would definitely go back. Prices were reasonable and service was GREAT!
Been going to Rialto for years now. Has the best brunch I've encountered, and dinner is always good.
Food was well prepared and nicely plated. Great variety of meals and a special theater menu.
The hostess greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant and accommodating as our number had dropped from 5 to 3. We were seated immediately. BEN, our server, was knowledgeable, helpful, cheerful and appropriately attentive. Ben did an excellent job of pacing our dinners and clearing courses without our feeling rushed, or interrupted. Our salads were cold and crisp, nicely portioned, and not overdressed.
We all ended up ordering salmon which was nicely plated, hot, and the salmon steaks were perfectly prepared. The Creme Burle that ended our meal was also very good.
We arrived very late for our reservation due to snow and bad traffic. We had theatre tickets as well. Our waiter was absolutely fabulous and made sure our food got out promptly. The food was delicious! We really like this restaurant as they pay for your parking in Independence Plaza when you are attending the theatre. Just sorry we missed the happy hour where we could have gotten a deal on our wine. Great menu and service.
There were no other people there and somehow the service was worse than times I've been there when its crowded.
A favorite Sunday brunch spot. The mimosa and Bloody Mary bar is great. Menu items delicious. Hope to be back soon.
