Rialto Cafe Ratings and Reviews
We would absolutely recommend Rialto to friends and will be going back soon!! The wait staff was absolutely incredible. The speed of service was a perfect pace. We were not rushed and didn't feel like we had to wait for anything. Definitely come to this amazing restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and let us switch out the green beans for grilled asparagus. YUM!!
Made reservations for 7 and had our table waiting for us even though we arrived 15 minutes early. Our waiter, Ryan ( I believe), was excellent! He easily handled our multiple orders and a few separate checks. He was always there when we needed another round or anything. Our food was good, drinks were good. It was a great place for a gang of friends meeting up for the lights of 16th St. and a great meal!
We celebrated Thanksgiving with 8 of our family: 4 x spouses, 1 toddler, 1 teenager, 1 ten year old and a 20 year old. Everyone ate, drank, talked and laughed! It was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! Thank you Heather for amazing service. Thank you for the chefs who did the cooking and the manager who made sure we were all happy. Can't wait for the next celebration at the Rialto!
Thanksgiving was our first time we visited Rialto Cafe, and we had a fantastic experience. The wait waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. I had the filet and my husband had the prime rib special— both were delicious! We also had the calamari appetizer, which was overflowing and yummy! Definitely couldn’t finish it between the two of us. We will definitely be back!
The food was cooked well but lacked seasoning. I asked for horseradish. They sent me horseradish butter that had very little horseradish flavor and when I put it on the prime rib, it completely disappeared. The waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable. The fruit and desert bar was very disappointing. It took away from the rest of the dinner experience. It was OK for a one time visit. I will not go there again nor will I recommend it to family or friends. It is not that great of an experience.
10 of us met for dinner before heading to the theatre to see Rent, and we had a delightful experience! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the restaurant offers multiple discounts for theatre-goers! We had no problem getting finished within an hour, and our server had no issue splitting our check and running multiple cards. We couldn't have had a better time :)
My wife and I had Theater tickets on a Friday night. I setup a table reservation online. We were running about 15 minutes late because of traffic. I called ahead to make sure they would still have a table for us. No problem. The Hostess was very nice on the phone.
We took advantage of the parking deal at the Independence Parking Garage across the street. This is the best kept secret in Downtown Denver.
The Rialto Cafe offers a Theater discount also! We split the Salmon Dinner (Delicious) had one drink each (Happy Hour prices) and The Brownie dessert. Wonderful food. Wonderful service.
The Rialto Cafe is a big part of a great Date Night in Downtown Denver.
I love this place. I’m a semi regular as I eat here while I’m in town and make my annual visit for Veterans Day as they offer free meals for vets on this day. The staff is always attentive to your needs and the manager Jessica comes and chats with you at your table to ensure everything is on par.
Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Great service, good atmosphere, unfortunately my meal was just meh, I ordered the steak frites and the frites were so old and cold. The steak was pretty good, I felt like my dish had been sitting for some time waiting on others at my table. In fairness everyone else enjoyed their dish. I would definitely go back but I won't be getting the steak frites again.
We have dined there on prior occasions, and the food and service were very good. This time the food was up to their usual standards, but the service was bordering on poor.
Bar service prior to dining was excellent. Drinks were served quickly and professionally made. The parmesan dip was very good, and served promptly. Service at the table was not as good. Several tables around us were seated after us, and served before us. An additional drink from the bar took over 20 minutes, and was not as cold as the first round at the bar. The salmon and lobster/shrimp fettuccine was very tasty but warm and not hot. The waiter was not as attentive as he should have been, and when he said he would refill our water, there was again a delay, and then he only filled one glass. Near the end of the meal a waitress stopped by, and told us the waiter was helping behind the bar. However when the time came to deliver the bill, our original waiter was there. It appeared that they were short staffed, and the manager/expeditor did apologize for the service.
I think this will give us pause when choosing the Rialto Café in the future
Our group of 5 was treated exceptionally well. The staff was attentive and truly wished us to have a delightful experience. And we did. Not our first dining experience here, we all had something different and shared. All was so taste-full, well presented, and aromatic. Sandwiches, steak, piccatta, pot pie, all was wonderful. We always enjoy coming here.
Rialto Cafe has a great theater menu option which gives you a three course meal for around $30. It will also pay for your parking at Independence Plaza, but with all of the construction downtown we could not get to the parking lot entrance so did not get to use that perk. The choices on the theater menu are very good. We had the house salad which was quite sizable and yummy! Then I had the chicken piccata and my spouse had the salmon. We both liked our entrees. Dessert choices were also very good. A very tasty dinner at a reasonable price...not haute cuisine, but very good.
Twice the waiters brought food - appetizers and main dish -- both times we without silverware, which we had to wait 5-10 minutes for. Plus waiter brought me red wine instead of white wine, took it away to replace, and did not bring back white wine until after appetizer was served -- another 15-20 minute wait, while my guest was 3/4 finished with her wine. Terrible service.
