Great food ! Great service ! Wonderful specials ! Kids menu available . Waterfront is great !
Great atmosphere on the waterfront. The food was great (we went for brunch) and the wait staff was attentive and professional. Enjoyed ourselves.
Excellent food and service.
Noise level high.
Very enjoyable: food excellent, ambiance wonderful, service excellent, staff responsive and amiable..
Recommend the asian spare rib appetizer. Nice waterside side location with varied menu, however, quite noisy in the dining room making conversation difficult. The staff is very friendly which is a plus. Next time for lunch on the patio when the weather warms up and we can talk to each other.
The service was impeccable. This was our first time here and we will certainly return. Impressive staff and the food was awesome. Great job!
My wife and I celebrated Valentines Day a day early.
Service was excellent as was the food.
I especially liked the Mango Fuego cocktail.
We will definitely be coming back.
After calling to adjust the number of people in our party, there was no reservation.
We celebrated my husband's 63rd birthday with a table for six. They put a helium birthday balloon on the table and he got a delicious dessert gratis. The food and drinks were great. We had a table by the window with a view of a spectacular sunset. The only downside was a noisy table for 20 next to us. But we probably would have been that noisy table if they hadn't been there!
We chose this restaurant because it was pet friendly. We appreciated the patio seating with a nice view. However, not a lot of variety on the menu. We ordered the clams to start and they were a bit fishy and we didn't like the chorizo sausage in it. We left after that. Also quite expensive for two drinks and clams: 50.00 without tip.
We hadn't been here for dinner for a while and it was a pleasant surprise from our last few experiences with sit down dinner dining....have just been stopping for happy hour occasionally. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
great food, very good service, great views. highly recommended.
Excellent birthday dinner! We put in a comment that it was a birthday dinner and the hostess led us to a table waiting with a balloon! Beautiful nighttime view of the harbor. The seafood risotto under the halibut was amazing, my son had the lamb, daughter the salmon. Coco was our server and was very pleasant and attentive. Both kids loved their dinners and we will be back!!
The beautiful atmosphere was amazing we were there for sunset which can’t be missed! The food was perfection on a plate! Would definitely go again! Our service was top notch and our knowledgeable and absolutely adorable server was polite and personable!
There were 6 of us for a birthday and we were seated at a table where you almost couldn't talk to the person at the other end. The appetizers were quite good but two of our entrees were almost not edible, one was totally undercooked and the other overcooked and over salted. WE sent one of them back. They took it off the bill but I will not make the trip there again.
Everything was great with the exception of our waitress. I'll return but deffinitly won't except that waitress.
I was extremely satisfied with the service and food! Our Server Coco was GREAT!!! The sunset view was beautiful, my wife and I had a great time celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. I was very glad that I found this hidden gem to celebrate our special day.
Our group of 4 were delighted by our first dining experience at Rhumb Line. We will definitely go back soon to partake of it's abundant happy-hour menu.
Hard to find, but worth the effort. We had the Poke Tuna (delicious), Lobster Mac n Cheese (so yummy), and Sand Dab Filet (the best lemon sauce). The bar overlooks the dining room which increases the noise level. Nice harbor view. A hidden gem.
We were here for the Thanksgiving set menu, but they had 2 choices for appetizers and 3 choices for dinner and 2 choices for dessert. They handled the crowd very well and our server, Heather, was exceptional. We had brought our own bottle of champagne and she showed up at the table with flutes and an ice bucket before she even said “hello”. Everything was handled better than any other restaurant that we have attended for a holiday dinner and the food was delicious and hot.
This place might be good on an average day, but I don’t recommend it for thanksgiving dinner. They were totally overwhelmed. An hour and a half past our reservation time and we still didn’t have the first course. Food ended up being pretty good, but way overpriced for what you get. Servers and hostess were doing their best with a frantic manager. Not a good experience and we paid through the nose. Maybe on a date without kids on a non-holiday I would have a different story to tell.
Overall the food was good however one person in our party ordered a hamburger medium and it was raw the person didn't want to say anything I felt bad because it was the Limited Thanksgiving Day menu and I wanted everybody to have a pleasant experience, very scenic somewhat pricey $260 for 7 people and a $30 bottle of wine
Everything was great. There could have been a few more choices on the menu though. Plus forced valet was annoying.
My go-to for dining experience and VIEW. Staff superior from the moment I open the door. Managers always quietly observant. Food is everything I want in a fine dining experience and I hosted two groups last week. No one was disappointed. I see young people enjoying the beautiful bar area and the outside (there’s shade) dining options. I’ve been frequenting this building throughout the last 50 years and about the same number of operators. This is the very best and I think a wonderful combination of professional/continental management style and SoCal ambience. And the chef/menu...omg.
Food was excellent
Service was fine
We went there for lunch a couple of weeks ago and loved it. So Friday night we took my brother and his wife there for dinner. Dinner was great! Everyone loved their meal and we all had a great time!
A little noisy at first but they moved us to a table away from the bar and that was much better. The service and the view were very nice. The food was cooked properly with respect for the ingredients and was well-presented. I felt it could have been seasoned more thoughtfully to bring out the underlying flavors. Quite expensive but good for special occasions.
This place has a fabulous setting right on the harbor and a menu that gives plenty of choices. The service was excellent and the chef’s appetizers of bruschetta a nice touch. I would call the food above average, but not top notch...however, very good value as the prices were not at the top either. We will return here for before theatre dining again.
My friends and I came for brunch after staying in Santa Barbara for a weekend wine tour. Our server, who was also the bartender that day was very nice. My buddy and I had the crab cake benedict which was delicious and the perfect amount of food. His wife had the breakfast burrito and it was quite large and filling. Overall, we were really happy with the experience and would gladly go to Rhumb Line again.
Couple dishes lacking
They gave us a balloon for the birthday we were celebrating which was a nice touch. Beautiful view and nice location. Can get a bit loud once it becomes busy
The food was good, but it’s way too loud. The waiter charged us for a bottle of wine we did not consume. Watch your bill.
Service wasdreadfully slow but the food was good. Wine list very limited. Great crab cakes and salad.
While the view of the Harbor is nice and the restaurant is beautiful, the food was awful for brunch. Omelette with tons of raw onion in large 1 inch chunks. The crab cakes eggs benidict was stale and overly fried served with cold bland potatoes. Service was also disappointing.
2 of us dined for Sunday brunch. Competition with families of 4, 6. 8. 10.
Did get seated in a corner with reduced noise, but then had bar patrons...
Service OK knowing about other large parties.
Food was well done and hot when served.
Still recommend this restaurant and will return.
We had a good evening. Only drawback high noise made it really hard to talk.
This was just a perfect place to take someone for a celebration lunch with a beautiful view of Ventura Harbor. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and numerous times checked on us asked us if we needed anything and wished my friend a happy birthday many times. I will definately come back here and try it for dinner.
Had a working dinner here, arrived about 5 30pm on Wednesday and after being seated waterfront, were thrilled to find out it was Wine Wednesday. This meant a wonderful special for 2 that includes a bottle of wine. We choose a bottle of Cabernet and then had a lovely dinner. I will definatley be going back.
Enjoyed dinner, view and had a fab waitress, but a bit pricey. When we first arrived we weren't sure we would stay because the noise level was off the chart! A little acoustic tile or noise absorption would be highly recommended!
