We went there for lunch a couple of weeks ago and loved it. So Friday night we took my brother and his wife there for dinner. Dinner was great! Everyone loved their meal and we all had a great time!

This place has a fabulous setting right on the harbor and a menu that gives plenty of choices. The service was excellent and the chef’s appetizers of bruschetta a nice touch. I would call the food above average, but not top notch...however, very good value as the prices were not at the top either. We will return here for before theatre dining again.

My friends and I came for brunch after staying in Santa Barbara for a weekend wine tour. Our server, who was also the bartender that day was very nice. My buddy and I had the crab cake benedict which was delicious and the perfect amount of food. His wife had the breakfast burrito and it was quite large and filling. Overall, we were really happy with the experience and would gladly go to Rhumb Line again.

They gave us a balloon for the birthday we were celebrating which was a nice touch. Beautiful view and nice location. Can get a bit loud once it becomes busy

The food was good, but it’s way too loud. The waiter charged us for a bottle of wine we did not consume. Watch your bill.

While the view of the Harbor is nice and the restaurant is beautiful, the food was awful for brunch. Omelette with tons of raw onion in large 1 inch chunks. The crab cakes eggs benidict was stale and overly fried served with cold bland potatoes. Service was also disappointing.

2 of us dined for Sunday brunch. Competition with families of 4, 6. 8. 10.
Did get seated in a corner with reduced noise, but then had bar patrons...
Service OK knowing about other large parties.
Food was well done and hot when served.

Still recommend this restaurant and will return.

This was just a perfect place to take someone for a celebration lunch with a beautiful view of Ventura Harbor. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and numerous times checked on us asked us if we needed anything and wished my friend a happy birthday many times. I will definately come back here and try it for dinner.

Had a working dinner here, arrived about 5 30pm on Wednesday and after being seated waterfront, were thrilled to find out it was Wine Wednesday. This meant a wonderful special for 2 that includes a bottle of wine. We choose a bottle of Cabernet and then had a lovely dinner. I will definatley be going back.

Enjoyed dinner, view and had a fab waitress, but a bit pricey. When we first arrived we weren't sure we would stay because the noise level was off the chart! A little acoustic tile or noise absorption would be highly recommended!

I would go back in a minute if I were in the area. Menu interesting in an area where this is not alqaus the case. The views at sunset are wonderful. The management couldn't be better. Give this place a try. You'll be happy.

Took my wife here for our 30th anniversary. I had called and made reservations and let them know we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. When we arrived there was a Happy Anniversary balloon at our table and we sat next to the window overlooking the bay. It was a beautiful evening and the windows were open. As the night progressed the staff made sure to close the windows without us asking. Dinner was fantastic and we meant to take photos but the food was so scrumptious when it arrived we dug in. Then we looked at one another and said we forget to take a photo! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. she surprised us with a complementary dessert that was to die for! The cheesecake was light/fluffy and delicious. We are 2 1/2 hours away from this restaurant but we will come back again and spend the night ust to eat at Rhumb Line.

What a wonderful surprise Rhumb Line was! None of our group had ever been there, and had never heard of it. I found it on line, I liked the reviews and the location so decided to give it a try. We were celebrating two birthdays. I had left a note on Open Table stating that we were celebrating birthdays, but so far no restaurant has ever recognized that. Well, Rhumb Line did. They brought a balloon to the table, and the birthday dessert was outstanding, and very generous. All of our food was delicious, and the drinks were great. The restaurant is so open with windows and the view is great. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the lovely sunset, new menu, great service, and overall evening at Rhumb Line now that it is under new ownership. What a difference!

We'll definitely return to celebrate more good times.

We have been many times and enjoyed every time until this one. It was a totally off night for them I think. The waiter (female) was not very attentive once she took our order, it took several requests to get ice for our water. We waited over 40 minutes between appetizers, salads for our main course and unfortunately when we finally received it two of the salmon dishes were cold and a funny consistency (one person returned theirs not to be returned), the lamb chops were undercooked (returned and cooked longer) and a chicken parm was burnt on the bottom (sent back not to be returned). There were many tables turned over while we waited for our entree. It was not a good experience. I will say the Manager tried very hard to make the 2 people with the unsatisfactory meals happy, he gets an E+ for effort. In the end they took off both returned entrees and gave us a 25% discount, which the waiter announced to us rather snippently which didn't sit well with one person and (gasp) I found out later he did not leave a tip. The other person splitting the bill did leave a 14% tip but he too was not happy with the waiter.

I felt horrible because we were guests of the other 2 couples and recommended Rhumb Line because we have been many times and had GREAT experiences. I want to think this was a VERY off night. We will try again and hope we both start with a clean slate.

We stopped in Ventura on our way to a wedding in pismo beach and Rhumb Line seemed favorably reviewed on OT. It was wonderful. We had the Wednesday Wine special. A bottle of wine, two salads, two amazing entrees (a medley of filet mignon, yellowtail tuba, mushroom risotto, fingerling potato and spinach),and an apple crisp all for the amazing price of $60.

Went here for Brunch on a Sunday, no wait, good menu selection, great service, nice view! I had the special heuvos rancheros and it was great! Even the potatoes that came with it were good and different from the norm. We just weren't in the mood to wait somewhere for 45 - 60 minutes! We've also dined here many times.

I really love their food and the management is on top of it all. My only complaint is the noise level on weekends. It dies down around 8:00. I think happy hour is a big draw but we always go for dinner and we love that they take reservations.

Our first visit was very memorable. I made a birthday reservation for me and my mother. We were promptly seated when we arrived and the view was lovely of the boats and sea life.

Handsel made sure that our orders were prepared without seasoning as requested, as my mom is very sensitive to any seasonings especially pepper.

The mildly seasoned potatos were tasty to me and very lightly seasoned but my mother couldnt eat them. One of the owners, (Tommy), was checking on all the guests and when he arrived at our table, he immediately took the initiative to have the kitchen serve my mother some mashed potatoes without seasoning which my mother was able to enjoy.

Birthday dessert was just lovely, flourless chocolate cake and yummy vanilla bean ice cream.

My mother made the comment to me how important it was that the owner was checking in with his guests which you don't see too often anymore.

Thank you very much!

Menu items were prepared with care and expertise and the presentation was pleasant to the eye. The taste of the chicken breast was excellent; tender and juicy. The wait staff was very attentive but not invasive. We had plenty of privacy for conversation without interruption. We enjoyed watching kayakers and paddle-boarders work their way past the abundant windows although it was noticeably warmer next to the window. I'm sure the view from the tables away from the windows was equally enjoyable. We will request an inner table on our next visit.
Overall the experience was enjoyable and memorable. This is a great venue to be close to the water and enjoy a fine meal in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere.
