Cute date night spot. Food was a little bland but overall a nice experience. Wonderful service!
Girls trip to Asheville!
Rhubarb was amazing food and service and they even gave us a desert on the house!
Amazing restaurant and good atmosphere. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the each cheese we got in the beginning and picking a wine. Can’t wait to go back when we visit Asheville again!
Overall very good. Can’t recommend the roe spread on toast.
Wonderful food! I will highly recommend Rhubarb to others!
Lovely casual room. Delicious food. Locally sourced. Friendly staff.
They had all the makings of a great foodie experience, but fell short.
The entire experience was fantastic. Our server was knowledgeable and gave recommendations to accompany based on what we wanted on the menu. The meal was memorable. Lamb leg is the way to go with the preserves plate and cheese plate as well. Music was fun and funky. The ambiance is very Pinterest-esque but it fits the space and service. It fits Asheville. A phenomenal experience overall.
Good and interesting food. Nice dining experience. Shrimp was a little overcooked and seasoning on hominy was lacking. But overall we enjoyed our meal.
Traveling on vacation
Everyone from the hostess to the serving staff were friendly and helpful. The building is small, so reserve a table.
Food was great. Waitress was awesome! She filleted my trout table side.
Fantastic meal and service from Carrie. The trout was outstanding as was the parsnip tart. Highly recommended!
Our server was very attentive & knowledgable. The food was delicious and palate pleasing. I would definitely recommend.
Just don’t order the whole trout! I was told it would be 4 pounds!! It was so small i couldn’t eat it because the bones were so small!! every bite had a very fine bone i couldn’t eat it, I’m usually really good about filleting my own fish! I sent it back!!We were not even offered a free dessert.
We had a pleasant evening at Rhubarb, it was New Years Eve and I was able to make a reservation just the night before. They have a nice somewhat eclectic menu and the beer and cocktail selection is interesting and well thought out.
Overall good experience, I would recommend to a friend and I would dine here again.
Good, cocktails and service were all excellent. One of the best meals I’ve had in Avl.
Overrated. We had cocktails which were great. Ordered the cheese board and pimento pups which were nothing special (the sauce you dip them in was good). I had to ask about the pups because they hadn’t come out 15 minutes after the table beside us who ordered after us got them. Ordered the steak and it came out cold and undercooked. Sent it back and the brought out the same steak still undercooked. Wife got the chicken which was served in a large pan and was fine but nothing special. Small portions and underwhelming.
The portions are smaller, but everything we ordered was delicious! Would definitely go back!
Great waitress and food was excellent
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Rhubarb. Our waiter was so sweet and gave great recommendations. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the Foie Gras.
The service was great! The food and drinks were good, but I think they're a little overpriced for what you get.
We drive berween SC and TN a lot and three times we have stopped at Rhubarb for dinner. We love it! The food and service are outstanding. The variety of menu items is impressive. We love to sit at the chef's table to watch them cook. Love it and we'll be back!
Great service and creative cocktails. Ribeye was perfect.
Visiting Asheville for a few days, extremely satisfied with the evening out with my wife.
Splendid Asheville Restaurant; reasonable prices, and delicious food.
This place is a foodie must stop!!
Inventive, fresh, local, fun!!! Always an adventure to a lovely place ! ( not weird food, wonderful food!) out 1st time was 4 years ago when our daughter started college!! And we are so thankful she’s staying!!! ( we get to come back again and again!!!)
Lucky you If your in Asheville and can get a res!!
The Parsnipery! I still think about!!
Hospitality and Food were top notch.
Rhubarb is super expensive for nothing special. I ordered the House Mule as a cocktail and it was outstanding. I would really urge you to just come to sit at the bar here and order drinks instead of food. The food prices are outrageous. My boyfriend ordered the striped bass and it was super small and weird tasting. The cheese board was average. Waste of money. Would only recommend for drinks.
Food was incredibly well-balanced with every flavor discernible. Southern cuisines at its finest! Service was superb: quick, attentive and helpful without over-bearing. Decided to eat here 2 more times during our 4-night stay in Asheville!
Quality of food was very good; just a little too “foodie” for us; not a lot of choices on the menu. Cute restaurant though.
We had a wonderful evening at Rhubarb. The food was varied and unexpected and delicious. So were the cocktails and people watching. I loved watching the open kitchen too. All was good...make that excellent.
Small eclectic menu. A bit over-priced. Overall, fairly boring. We had a great waitress though.
Don't be misled by the view from the sidewalk -- there's plenty of room inside. Tables are close to each other, so it might get a bit noisy at times.
Such a good meal! Interesting ingredients well prepared, very knowledgeable staff. Service was excellent. Good wine too!!
Food was not that good but a meal was graciously removed from bill as food was burned. Not a cosmo as I had ordered...
We had heard about Rhubarb & wanted to go for my birthday dinner. The server was great, pleasant & offered suggestions for the meal. We ordered cocktails & when they arrived, my husband had a normal size cocktail & mine was about 1/3 full with a large ice cube in it. When the server asked if we wanted another cocktail, I told her if you give me a full cocktail this time. The 2nd drink was fine, however the Red Snapper small plate was nothing special. No flavor, or should I say tasted very fishy (fresh?). Took it home for the cat. The only thing that saved the meal was the Burrata appetizer. Also, my birthday was not recognized even though I mentioned when making the reservation. There are so many great restaurants in Asheville, save your $$$$ for another one.
Loved sitting at the bar watching the chefs cook
