Amazing food and service! Vanessa really took care of us and made our experience that much better. Food was delicious. Hush puppies were to die for. Will be back for sure!
Birthday celebration and 25th wedding celebration
It had been a while, but my first foray into dining at restaurant was excellent courtesy of one of my favorites. A great experience, both I and my date enjoyed it immensely
Fabulous good. Cooked perfect. Can’t wait to return.
Food was delicious and service was fantastic! Our waitress Carrie was so great. We had a perfect meal!!!
Food was good but the flavors were muted, so it was a little bland.
Our food was good, though not incredible - and the mushroom soup we ordered really had too much balsamic vinegar in it. The ambiance was nice and the service OK (though not great). Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but we felt that the food was just fair.
Excellent, definitely among top 5 in Asheville
Great Farm to Table food. We really enjoyed our meals. Everything was well thought out and prepared.
Good food and service. Unusual menu choices.
The food was fabulous!!. Very creative. Goat cheese burrata was remarkable. Use of seasonal ingredients like ramps was creative. Ambiance was a little too down home for the quality of the product served.
Only issue was the surrounding area. Homeless and sketchy people panhandling 25 feet from the front entrance really should be addressed.
Outdoor dining is important in today's environment.
We were very pleased with our service, the food and the ability of staff to place something under the legs of the table to make it more stable on uneven but beautiful bricks. We will be back again.
We visit this restaurant every time we are in Asheville. It's our favorite.
Service was painfully slow. We had to ask if we could order after our appetizers came out from a food runner and our drinks weren’t at the table yet. We had been there for over 30 minutes at that point. And the server forgot to put a dish in and totally forgot about it. The kitchen runner brought our dinners and we didn’t see our server again until we flagged her down after we finished our meal and asked if we could order dessert ...and let her know about the dish that never came. Not what you expect for an expensive place. They are booked all the time because of their location, not their service.
Booked for brunch last minute. Sat on the patio. I had the whole grain and potato hash which was absolutely phenomenal and had the benefit of feeling pretty healthy. I balanced the latter out with a Bloody Mary just to keep my system balanced. The home made Bloody Mary mix and pickles were, again, phenomenal. But the real reason to visit Rhubarb is the Fried Chicken Biscuit. I mean, they call it that on the menu but honestly it needs a name more suitable to what it is - crispy, sweet, spicy, soft, juicy morsels made by the gods for the gods. My wife had the foresight to order this and I came pretty close to ordering second brunch just to get some more of it once I’d had a taste. I can’t think of a better way to kick off our Asheville culinary experience but I now know exactly how all future visits will begin.
So slow. Asked for wine at beginning of meal and didn’t get it until 45 minutes later - still charged for it too.
Wow!! I can’t say enough great things about this place. Everything we ordered was delicious. The hush puppies were to die for! Our waiter was so welcoming and gave great recommendations. Would absolutely eat here again!
The food was poorly plated for the money spent on it. The dishes were so unappealing. We got the strawberry and feta salad and it was so bland, so small, the strawberries had no flavor. We also got the crispy spare ribs which had barely any meat. For such a highly recommended place, we were very disappointed.
Great food and service. We sat in the bar area. Smiley, the bartender/mixologist was awesome. The best thing about him was the amazing craft cocktails he made for us and unlike a lot of mixologist we did not have to wait 20 minutes for him to mix the cocktails.
Look forward to going back.
I would have given five stars, but the angle food cake desert was not angel food cake as I know it. It was dense not spongy and not to my liking.
The atmosphere in the outdoor "tent" was lovely. Service was pretty good. The food choices were very eclectic and delicious. I would recommend the steak and the fish specials. The hush puppies app was great for sharing! The dessert which looked amazing on the menu, was rather average. Brownie with mint chip ice cream. Brownie was average and there was a small dollop of ice cream. I would overall recommend. The atmosphere was exciting and lively.
Great vibe and really well done food. Shout out to Ethan for being a great server and magically producing the best duck confit! Will be back soon.....
The food was not as great as the hype. It was delicious but not fabulous. Waiter forgot several items and service was super slow. Given that there is a strong request to complete a meal in 1 1/2 hours, it would be better to have drinks and food delivered in time to comply.
We ate here two nights in a row, mainly because we loved it the first time and because most of the best restaurants were closed the following night (Monday).
The food was outstanding, as was the service. The wine and cocktail selections were great. Monday night however, the menu was a little limited. However we do realize also that most farm to table restaurants have this issue, so for us it was not a problem.
It is definitely a wonderful spot!
It was all very good. Servers were knowledgeable and eager to share their knowledge. Goat cheese burrata was tasty. Shrimp and grits had a tomato sauce somore like shrimp creole with grits instead of rice. Frat flavor.
Very enjoyable brunch. We had Shrimp grits temperature was not warm enough but flavor was great. Chicken & biscuit was FABULOUS! Bloody Mary very flavorful. Their pickled side is tasty. Definitely visit!
The location is central to downtown and easy to access by foot. The service was friendly and knowledgeable.
Excellent fun place
Our server was attentive, friendly, and informed. Food was delicious without exception.
Always a great experience. Wonderful food and service.
We were traveling - Rhubarb received a great review on TripAdvisor. Rebecca our server was wonderful!!
Loved the food, but I hated the street noise. The music was too loud and we could not carry on a conveersation
Delicious food with knowledgable service. Excellent evening.
Had been looking forward to dinner here for a long time! We were tucked in a corner, so did not get much of the atmosphere. Server was amazing! Gnocchi presentation is lovely and was my favorite dish. Duck wings were recommended and they were OK. Meatballs were tasty but the presentation was really lacking. Lemon bar dessert was fantastic!
The menu lacked excitement. Lots of grains, but no veggies.
The food was amazing. This spot is a must go!
