We had a lovely date night at Rey’s!
What an experience. I would highly recommend this place. Perhaps even over the Angus Barn.
Great service and food. Bananas foster topped off a great evening with friends!
Rey's is our favorite restaurant for those times when you want to commemorate something important. The food, service, and atmosphere is best.
This place is an outstanding fine dining experience with lots of character.
Great place! Excellent server named Kevin took wonderful care of us. On top of that the manager walks around and asks the tables if they had a good time at the restaurant. All round great experience and great food as well. Thumbs up 👍 to anyone thinking of eating there.
The location was great. The staff was very helpful and professional. The ambiance was excellent next to the fireplace.
And the entrees were very good.
But it is $$. Well worth it.
Our waitress was very professional and attentive. The wine was outstanding. When I asked about a private room for a future event the event planner came to our table to answer my questions. Very pleased with all the food.
Good food as always
Good food and good service...Michael was great in taking care of us.
We have visited Rey’s a number of times and always enjoy it! This was my husband ‘s Birthday celebration and it was excellent!! Jim, our server, was fantastic and Rey’s attention to detail and being ever present in the dining room adds a special touch!!! We’ll be back! We’ve missed it!!
Our server, Carolyn, was excellent providing accurate information with a smile. The owner Rey also stopped by to greet us and thank us for our patronage. Would definitely return.
Great place for a special occasion, went there for birthday. Atmosphere was great and service was over the top. Made the evening very special. Great drinks and great food.
This was our first visit to Rey's and we had a phenomenal evening. The atmosphere was very inviting and intimate. The food and service was excellent. Not somewhere we can afford often, but we will definitely go back occasionally.
My husband and I went to Rey's for the first time after relocating to the Triangle about 18 months ago. We can't believe we've waited so long to try it!
We absolutely loved the old-school atmosphere and the amazing menu. We first got a drink at the bar and had awesome cocktails. From there we were seating and our server was just delightful. All of the food was excellent and we were particularly impressed with the beef carpaccio appetizer.
Rey, the owner, makes rounds to talk to every table and even jumps in to help out when needed. I saw him bussing plates, making cherries jubilee for guests, and he was greeting folks all night. This is a guy who knows how to run a restaurant and isn't too proud to do the "dirty work" himself.
We will definitely be back for more!
Ended up sitting at the bar instead of getting a table. Bar was lively at 6:30. Had an awesome wedge salad scallop appetizer and the fried oyster appetizer... both were phenomenal. Will go back!
Dinner was wonderful! Rey, himself, was walking around checking on the tables. He actually flamed our cherries jubilee and bananas foster.
Amazing food and amazing service. It was my girlfriends birthday and they truly made it a night to remember. Rey provided 2 complimentary desserts and a beautiful rose. Definitely returning.
It was divine!
We were celebrating a birthday and we picked the perfect restaurant! The atmosphere was lovely with white tablecloths, the food was ALL delicious, and the service was fantastic!. We had Bananas Foster for dessert, prepared and flamed right at our table by Rey himself! It doesn't get any better than that! I can't wait to go back and have another wonderful evening!
A big THANK YOU to Kelly and all at Rey's for the PERFECT evening!!
Overall Very good. We have been there multiple times. One of my favorite places! The food is always good, a little on the pricey side but worth it. The one thing about Reys is that service is slow. I not saying this is a bad thing or good but be prepared to be there awhile to enjoy the experience and conversation with your party. Our reservation was for 6:30 we did not get out till 9:00. The server was pretty attentive even though after I finished my cocktail he never asked if I wanted another. Will go back and continue to take business associates and my wife for special occasions.
I had special request a for seating. They took note of it and made it happen! Nice to know that some places care what is important to their customers. Scott was our server and couldn't have been better. He has worked there for twenty plus years dosen't that say it all? About how well managed this place is.
Thank you I will see you again
This meal was one of the best meals I have had in a long time! The service was exponential and the steak was off the charts delicious! I will absolutely be back and will recommend Rey’s to many!
The service was fantastic. What you would expect from an upscale restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions adequate. The staff was professionally dressed and attentive at every level. I was disappointed in how many patrons were under dressed. I mean flip flops, worn out t shirts and sweat pants. Really!!!. I am not saying you have to ware a suit or jacket, but a nice casual should be the minimum.
Fantastic meal and service was top notch! The steaks were perfectly cooked and everyone liked the dessert bananas foster the owner Rey prepares tableside
This was one of the nicest evenings I have spent in a very long time the waiter was amazing the food was amazing it was a great night
Service was warm yet polished, and excellently paced. Having the owner stop by during the meal and then personally prepare the bananas foster table-side was a real treat. Great wine list, steaks, and seafood. The mushroom side dish was simple yet simply divine.
Had a wonderful meal and excellent service. Definitely will return.
Not a bad meal and having a gift certificate that paid for most of it was nice however.....the steaks are good but not better than you can fix at home with basic skills. The prices are pretty high. The sides were typical steak house things ....potatoes, asparagus, beans, and again not better than someone with some experience can do at home. The wine list was good with selections at reasonable prices. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. Pretty bland interior. Overall, OK but way too pricey and would not recommend or return. I do not mind paying top dollar for a meal but at these prices I would need something more to bring me back.
We hadn't been to Rey's in a long time. We came to celebrate my Dad's birthday. It was really good and we'll definitely be back. They are also opening a patio this spring and it will be great for outside dining.
We had an extra long wait time. I was disappointed we had to wait almost 45 minutes despite having a reservation. I will go back to Rey's. The food was excellent as always but, I'll probably take a break for awhile and try some other places.
Great place, I’ll be back.
From the moment we entered, it was a laughably terrible experience. The hostess couldn't understand our apparently thick American accents and we had to repeat the name three times. Next, the waitress came to get our drink order immediately upon our being seated, and when we asked her to come back she waited 10 minutes prior to returning. Once we did order drinks she accidentally brought us a single glass of wine prior to retreiving our actual drinks another 10 minutes later. The wondefully attentive bus boys continuously kept our water glasses full to the point that we could not lift them without the water sloshing over the sides of the glasses, but at least our hands remained clean. I particularly enjoyed when one of them reached over my shoulder from behind me to fill up my glass. I couldn't even thank this mystery person for overfilling my glass as I only saw an arm.
The lyonnaise potatoes were so well done that they would have been more fitting as a breakfast side with pancakes and eggs. My tuna steak was neither seared on the outside or cooked appropriately. I requested medium rare, as typical tuna steak is red in the center, and the waitress rebutteled with medium well, even after I assured her that I did not want it well done. As it turns out, her opinion must have trumped mine, as my tuna arrived medium well. My date's $30 piece of grouper was approximately three inches in diameter. We were left questioning whether they forgot the rest in the kitchen? Good thing we had the crispy lyonnaise potatoes to fill up on.
My wife went out of our date night. We drove up from Raeford, NC and it was well worth the drive. Food was outstanding, and service was on point. Helped us navigate through the best choices from start to finish. Owner came out to meet with everyone. We are planning to go there again on our next date night.
It was a wonderful dinner. I too my wife for our anniversary. The food was fantastic and service was great.
Each and every visit is a dining experience that we enjoy. The service and smiles are always wonderful.
Rey’s is a very good special occasion restaurant. They have very good food and great service but at a price. The food has a Cajun flare to it with nice presentation and nice ambiance. Everything is a la cart which is what adds to the cost. Definitely worth going to but in moderation because of the expense.
Outstanding meal and great service.
Nice ambience, we enjoyed having dinner, this was my 3 rd visit
Our experience was excellent. Warm and attentive service despite a busy night (Valentine's), fantastic recommendations, and a lovely atmosphere. Would go again in a heartbeat.
