Gorgeous new courtyard for outdoor dining, weddings, social events or al fresco dining.
Excellent! Martinis are worth the trip alone!
Execellent food & service. Enjoyed watching mr. Rey make desserts. I was impressed owner was in dining room and knew his staffs name. We will be coming back.
The food as always was exceptional and the atmosphere quiet and warmly inviting. Franklin did a superb job waiting on us. Rey, Jason and Allison checked on us during the course of the evening. Our guest, who travels and eats out extensively, was very impressed with Reys. We love this restaurant!
Excellent food and service. You are not rushed through dinner. Can enjoy conversation as it is not noisy. Matt has been our waiter for the two occasions we have been in this restaurant. He is awesome.
Went here for my 24th birthday and it was to die for. Our waitress Carolyn was great! The food was pricy but so worth it! Delicious 😋 my husband doesn’t even eat mashed potatoes and he absolutely loved Rey’s mashed potatoes. Will go again before I move .
Great food and great Service from Carolynn!
Were concerned with some of the bad reviews but none seemed to be valid.
We'll be back!
This was our first time to Rey's. Scott was our waiter and the service was excellent - not only by Scott but by the table stewards as well. Our food came out promptly but not rushed. The food quality was excellent although the portion sizes were somewhat smaller than expected (for instance, the side of asparagus was only 7 spears). The prices were not out of line with fine dining but considering the portion sizes we could not give Rey's 5 stars for value. We would definitely go back to Rey's but only for a special occasion.
Service was very good, very attentive. Frank was very nice and gracious. The restaurant was clean, the food was good and the atmosphere was nice. I did feel some of the attire was a little too casual for the atmosphere, but that was not a big deal.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner at Rey’s. Our server a Jim was attentive. The food was delicious!!! My husband enjoyed the evening special, a 22oz ribeye which was a perfect medium rare. I enjoyed the fried oyster app as my entree. We shared sides of green beans with almonds and sautéed mushrooms. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening!!!!
Had Franklin as our waiter. He was one of the best waiters I have ever had! The food was amazing. Highly recommend. Will absolutely go back if in the neighborhood again.
Rey's as always, provides exceptional food with top notch service! Rey is always very hospitable and goes out of his way to visit with you when you are there.
Service was poor and disorganized. The staff did not seem to know what they were doing and had a lengthy discussion in front of us just to seat us. We were two people and they wanted us to sit at a corner table for six people. We told them no but they tried to talk us into it. We were moved to an appropriate table. Then the service took forever.
Delightful place to celebrate being alive, celebrating anniversaries and birthdays!
Our food was perfect, our service was even better, and the cocktails were excellent. I would recommend this place over any other restaurant I have ever been. It was hands down the best dining experience of my life. I can’t wait for my next visit.
The food and services were amazing. Our waiter, Jeremy, was phenomenal!
Though the service was excellent, food was outstanding and ambiance very good..
Rey's never disappoints. We've been going to Rey's since they opened and it is our favorite restaurant for important events or just when we want an exceptional meal. It will continue to be.
Lovely atmosphere tucked into a perfectly quiet location. Light levels were perfect and the wait staff is super friendly. They make you feel like they can get anything you need. Can't wait to go back! I'm getting hungry writing the review thinking about the 16oz rib-eye I ordered.
My wife and I went to Rey's for the first time last week. We started with Calamari. The dish is more like succotash with 25 or so small calamari rings. Flavor was good, but we'd have liked to know that it was more vegetable than calamari. For the main course, I had the special of the night, New Orleans Surf & Turf (Filet & Lobster Tail). She had an 8 oz Filet. For our sides we selected Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli. The sides were really bland with barely cooked broccoli and runny mashed potatoes. The sides had no flavor at all. The steaks were OK, though i got my wife's Rare steak and she got my Medium Rare steak. Once we swapped, it was at least decent meat. The cut of meat was good and saved the taste, well that and a bit of butter in the cooking process. The Lobster tail was dry and flavorless. The waiter was nice, but he tried to rush us along and rarely even cleaned up when he took plates. (Family style sides so a bit messier as you do all the work) The bill wasn't all that expensive at around $180, but when we left both of us were very disappointed. Folks rave about this place, though unfortunately it must just be locals who pull up in their 4x4 pick-ups in shorts who rate the place...as anyone who's eaten anywhere from Outback to Flemings to Applebees...has had a lot better steak. I really hope folks who are looking for a nice dinner read the full review here, as they can certainly spend their money for a better experience. Hate so much to make these comments about a local establishment, but value and flavor are important when spending nearly $200 on a meal. The ambiance is just 'weird' as well. (no privacy and unusual mix of clientele)
I come here all the time with my family — we love it! But I have to give it 4 stars because of my last experience. My boyfriend and I ordered a $109 bottle of chataneuf-du-pape and the bottle service was appalling... Our waiter was sweet, but technically speaking, I wanted to throw myself into the sun during his wine presentation. Everything he did was incorrect. If I’m going to drop that much money on a bottle of wine, my server needs to open it correctly. But great food, great wine list, great vibes, etc. I’ll keep coming back forever.
The food wasn’t worth the price, the chicken piccata was awful, the steak was fine but very pricey will not be returning.
This is our absolute favorite restaurant for a special occasion or night out. We were celebrating our son's 19th birthday, and they gave us the private room. Our waiter was prompt and friendly, and he went out of his way to make our night great with extra servings & desserts and personal service. It's always great to see Rey himself greet you or check on how things are going. Love supporting a local restaurant that is excellent!
Other than being pricey, this is the best restaurant in Cary for a special occasion.
Excellent food and service as always. I would however suggest that there be some additions or changes to the menu. We have been going to Rey's a couple of times a year or more for several years and the menu has changed very little.
We had a lovely evening with our family of 4. The food was excellent as was the service. Many personal touches were included in our experience. Highly recommend Rey’s!
A fun night out with the family but no special occasion. Always a great meal and great service from the team at Rey's. Thankful for this local gem!
The service was outstanding. The waitress was very attentive to our needs. The food was great.
Went to Reys based on the Yelp reviews, as my wife and I wanted to try something new, and I wanted to surprise her. Very nice restaurant. Phenomenal service, great food. Wines are reasonably priced. A great special occasion restaurant.
Wonderful meal, great service! We were there for the first time and enjoyed everything. Food was delicious. Our server, Jason, showered us with attention. We met Ray, the owner. He came around to each table. Very nice touch!
Great! Always have a wonderful meal here. The filet mignon and bananas foster.....amazing! Excellent service!!
Food was delicious and our server, Kevin, was friendly and attentive. He explained everything to us since this was our first visit at Rey’s. We will definitely be back!
Off-night for Rey's? We departed from our usual menu choices and were disappointed with what we ordered -- veal Marsala (tough and lacking in flavor) and French Quarter chicken (similarly unremarkable). The service was also sub-par with long delays between courses and an absentee waitress. We have dined at Rey's many times and have always been quite pleased with the exception of this night.
A bit loud for a business meal. Great food otherwise
As always the meal is superb and the service is top notch - very professional. Rey stopped at our table more than once and flamed our Banana's Foster. He also greeted us as we left. It is a top notch elegant place with the feel of friends and family. It is our go to celebration restaurant.
Rey's is our go-to place for fine dining. The rack of lamb is my personal favorite. The presentation is in the French style with four thick chops. Succulent!
Going to Rey’s is always a great experience! We go every year for our anniversary and have never been disappointed!
Excellent meal and top notch service!! Food was delicious...especially the bisque soup, seafood and steak!
My husband and I have loved this restaurant since we went first over 4 years ago! Great service, delicious food, and always something special!
Great food, excellent service. Carolyn was our server and she did a great job!
Great service and always wonderful experience! The seasonal martinis are great and the new outdoor area was a nice spot to have a drink before we sat down to dinner.
