Very dissappointing experience and it seems we weren't the only one as we heard two other tables express concenrn with the snail like pace of service. I took a friend out for wha I expected was to be a very nice dinner. Took nearly 20 minutes and two requests to get a full menu (we were originally just given list of daily specials) and a glass of water. At one point host came over and apologized rather profusely and said we would not wait again but the service did not get any better after. Flavor of soup was excellent but it was lukewarm at best.

I'd void Reynolds until they get their act together.

My husband and I spent a day in Annapolis and love history so we chose Reynolds Tavern for dinner. We were disappointed. The host was anxious, pacing in the foyer in our line of sight throughout the meal and muttering under his breath. The server was nice but awkward. My husband enjoyed his crab cakes. My scallops were very salty and risotto was overcooked. We went downstairs to the Pub for a nightcap. It was full, which was understandable, but a bartender was rude, telling us to get out of his way and making us feel unwelcome. Overall we wish we’d picked someplace else for our one dinner in Annapolis.

Everything was good (service, drinks, food), it just wasn’t great (a little slow, had to redo a drink, food tasty and well seasoned, but not hot-only warm).
Beautiful original colonial building.

Amazing food and service in unique setting ! Seven of us had dinner, and age groups were 50+, 30+, 20, plus two small kids. Everyone enjoyed food and had fun.

My husband and I were on our babymoon and celebrating our 12 year wedding anniversary. This restaurant was the perfect, romantic, unique place to celebrate both big events in our lives. The ambiance especially was just lovely! We had such an amazing time!

We had Afternoon Tea, the Savory menu. The server kindly accommodated my pickiness, food was excellent and the tea was hot. We wanted privacy and we got it. Great ambience! Wish they validated for parking.

We wanted a place to eat prior to a performance at Rams Head On Stage. We really appreciated the quiet atmosphere with background music that wasn't intrusive. We ordered a salad for me and French Onion Soup for my husband as starters. Excellent service and appropriately attentive. My entree of filet mignon was overlooked and the flavor so-so. The accompanying mashed potatoes were delicious. The asparagus very overlooked. My husband had shrimp and andouille sausage pasta. It was plentiful and he ended up taking leftovers home. The rolls were fresh out of the oven with a tasty butter spread. We were too full for dessert. While the food wasn't great it was such a treat to eat in a quiet environment for a change.

Reynolds Tavern is my favorite place to take friends for afternoon tea. It has a wonderful colonial atmosphere, friendly wait staff and beautifully presented tea sandwiches and scones. It's a must for anyone visiting Annapolis.

A lovely restaurant with good service. However, the food was a bit off on the night we were there. The cream of crab soup could have been fantastic because the flavor and consistency of the broth was right on. Unfortunately , it was served at almost room temperature, and there was almost no crab meat to be found in the bowl that I was served. For an entree, my wife and I shared the blackened scallops with the sweet potato hash. The flavors were again excellent, but the dish was absolutely at room temperature and the scallops had a very funny mushy consistency. Our waiter was polite and attentive, so I don't know why the food came out cold. I probably should have complained, but we were tired from a hard day of moving, so we declined desert and went home.

The food was very good, however the service was possibly the worst I have ever experienced. After the appetizers were delivered I had to ask if we could order drinks (!). Had to ask for a wine list. Never were given rolls/bread ( what were the little plates for?). Hubby ordered coffee, even talked to waitress about cream vs milk.....but never received any. Really a shame, but advise readers to go somewhere else.

The tea is always phenomenal, but the service was terrible (the waiter brought our food at all different times, leaving it all cold when the final person's dish arrived), our plates were dirty when we were given them, and the food was really lacking in flavor.

Authentic historic ambiance. But food was mediocre. I had fish and chips which was thin and dry. Nothing special about the coating. Chips were good, though.

We didn't intend to dine here- the menu on open table was for the pub around back (which we didn't realize until we'd been seated). But we couldn't have been happier. Lovely setting and top notch food. Highly recommend and we'll be back (and intend to go to the pub too- it looked like a really great setting!)

Three friends met for a delicious lunch of quich and salad, Crabcake sandwiches and asparagus soup. We had a lot of catching up to do, as it had been awhile since we had seen each other. We finished off with a dessert assortment of mini pastries. The restaurant was the perfect place for good conversation in a beautiful historical setting.

It's a tradion that I take my two great nieces to Reynolds Tavern for afternoon tea each summer when they come to visit me for three days. Our server Ryan was most attentive and knowledgeable with the teas and and food. It's always a nice experience for us and the girls look forward to it every year. We'll be back in 2018!

We were visiting Annapolis to see family. It was a great place to have our kids experience history since it is such a historical tavern. The food was great. We visited the downstairs pub where the bartender toured us around the space and talked about the architecture and how they cooked and heated the building (this was the old kitchen). Highly recommend.

My husband and I had dinner for the first time at Reynolds Tavern last evening. The premises was as you would expect for an old tavern however it was clean and set up for service. I had the Shepards Pie and my husband had the meatloaf. Both were tasty but not top notch. The lamb in my pie was limited and grisley. My impression is that this place is for tourists wanting the experience of old Annapolis.

This place is lovely! It is perfectly furnished for a tea house. I've been twice with my mother and younger female cousin, once last summer and once this summer for afternoon tea service - I hope it will become a tradition. I like the menu because you can order afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, etc., or you can order an actual entrée. The servers are friendly and accommodating. It is a quiet setting as the main room used is not large, so be prepared to use lower speaking tones - it's easy for everyone to hear your conversation if you don't. Women tend to the patrons but I think it would be a nice for a day date.

Stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday evening prior to attending a local concert.
What a gem. The food from start to finish was exceptional. My appetizer of seared scallops over mushroom risotto was literally perfect.
Our server, dressed in period clothing, was both pleasant and knowledgeable.
I have a new favorite restaurant in Annapolis.

Very good food. The Brie in Puff Pastry was excellent. The scallops/risotto appetizer was also delicious. Make sure you get the Cream of Crab soup - it is awesome. The crab cakes were good, but a little overcooked/dry. My husband got the rockfish special, which he loved. The only real downside of our visit was the service. It was excruciatingly slow and not very attentive. The waiter was a little clueless.

I took my grandaughter for our annual tea room experience and was very disappointed. Great location for historic value, but very poor food presentation, lacking in taste or value. It was uncomfortably hot in the room, but A.C. was on full blast. My table was so crammed next to the door that the waitress practically touched my chair every time she went in and out of room. Although the tea and brown sugar cubes were very good, the food plates were a big dissapointment. The small tea sandwhiches were thin and tasteless. The ham had one very thin slice with no flavor, the egg salad was bland, but the cucumber sandwhich was very good. The mushroom pie bite was not something I would choose for the plate. The scone was not very flavorful and cold. Nothing about the plate was pretty. I've been to other tea rooms where the plates were decorated with pretty sliced fruits, tiny cakes with scones that were warm and moist and everything was beautifully arranged. I will find a better option next year.

Wes and his staff were very accommodating, we had a special request since I am in town performing and needed to be out within an hour. They worked with my schedule and we still had a delicious, relaxing meal. The servers inside were very warm and friendly, and the menu is great because there's a mix of affordable snacks if you want something casual and decadent items if you're really looking for a treat. Thank you Wes, you made our Father's Day meal very special!
