Service was extremely slow. Received the wrong drink twice. Food wasn’t anything remarkable and came at all different times so no one was able to eat together, and appetizers came after 2 of our 4 meals. All in all, not terrible, but we will not go back.

We have been to Reynolds Tavern quite a few times. We always have a good time, the music was very good in the downstairs bar after dinner. As usual dinner was outstanding.

The Reynolds Tavern is THE place for Afternoon Tea! This has been my favorite place for years and they set the bar for afternoon tea service.

I took my mom to Reynolds Tavern for afternoon tea. We had a lovely table by the window and the friendliest server. Our food was delicious. We had the colonial tea which came with soups and the three-tiered tea tray. Everything was spot on except for the tea sandwiches which were not particularly special. We loved the scones, soup, and desserts, however! I would definitely go back for lunch or tea!

We went to celebrate a birthday with Colonial High Tea. Our server, Zack, was very friendly and helpful. The french onion soup AND the broccoli cheddar were both DELICIOUS! The variety of sandwiches, pastries and tarts are always amazing. And the scones...... speechless! They ARE the reason to go to tea. Highly recommend for a special occasion!

The fried green tomatoes were AWESOME!!!!!

Our server went out of his way to make the little girl in our group feel special! He was marvelous!

Good food in a setting with neat history. Staff creates a no rush atmosphere so it is easy to enjoy a pot of tea with your companions.

The historic building is beautiful, the interior was not anything special and look a bit worn. My sister and I both had the soup of the day, which was recommended by a very attentive server, which was crab bisque. Overly rich and more cream than crab and bland. We followed up with tea sandwiches which were terrible. Thick bread, barely any filling and cold. Seemed like they were pre-made and pulled out of the frig. All around a bomb.

Reynolds is really nice. The pricing for excellent meals is really quite reasonable. Wait staff is excellent. And of course you’re in a historic building on the heart of Annapolis. Everything about it is outstanding.

We were in Annapolis for a few days when we got stranded by a nor’easter. Very few of the restaurants stayed open even though there were a lot of visitors staying in the area to attend a conference at the Naval Academy. The most telling sign that a business is highly focused on its customers is one that stays open even when the weather is bad or business is slow. Other restaurants cancelled our reservation, but Reynolds Tavern stayed open until the storm had passed. We appreciated the staff immensely for serving dinner when all the other restaurants in the area left us hanging. It was particularly disappointing when the other restaurants kept their reservation system on open table active even though they had not even opened that day. Very high marks for Reynolds Tavern. Outstanding customer service!!

I had high expectations and hopes for this experience because it was my husband's birthday and I had been there before. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible and I don't think we'll be back. Food was not very good and only luke warm. The service was just slightly better. It took much longer to be waited on then it should have. We only noticed this occurring at our table. So unfortunate.

This was our first visit to Reynolds Tavern but certainly not our last. The meal was great and services was excellent. We look forward to going back in warm weather and sitting in the outdoor garden area. We also look forward to renting one of the rooms and spending a weekend walking around Annapolis.

I wish I had more words to describe the amazing afternoon tea we had. So many choices from which to choose (scones, sandwiches, sweets, champagne, etc.), you can select the menu. Great service, delicious food, and the chocolate truffles! Oh my. Reynolds afternoon tea service can rival any in England. Thank you. Thank you.

Reynolds Tavern can't be beat for historic ambiance. The night we dined, the tables were way too close to one another. It was rather uncomfortable in that respect. The food was good, however the salmon ordered by one diner was over cooked and the risotto clumpy. Lovely gem in Annapolis. Could stand a bit of improvement in the kitchen.

Disappointed only in the “tea” food. Sandwiches were skimpy& the bread was dry.

The ambiance is quaint and the restaurant tries to highlight the building's history - to the point of displaying some old chicken bones and claiming historical provenance. The dishes weren't assembled in any way that justified the price, and the difference between the restaurant week salmon and the cedar plank salmon was barely detectable. Both were small, farmed, and overcooked, with one having green spice something smeared on top like it's someone's first cooking attempt. The flavors were underwhelming and the wine list uninspired. Service was friendly and competent, and their dessert platter for my wife's birthday quite nice.

This is a beautiful old house. The menu has great options and the food was terrific! The service was also very food!

Great Environment Lovely Food and Experience

Our waitress (Christie?) was very polite and friendly. She sat us at a lovely table by the window, and was attentive. The afternoon tea was well worth the visit. Would definitely come again.

Crab soup and crab cakes were cold. Rockfish tasted bad. Service was terrible...we had wine spilled on us (which was certainly an accident and could be overlooked)...but asked the server for two things (butter and knives - twice) which we never received. We were really looking forward to dinner and went home disappointed.

Food was mediocre, service sucked, and WAAAYYYY over priced. Had heard such good things about this place but honestly, will never go back.

Wish they were still helping with parking garage fees. Missed the tiny Shepherd’s pie.

We have been going to Reynolds Tavern for years, and it is especially the go-to place for out of town guests to get a feeling of Colonial Annapolis. The food is great, service top notch and it sort of takes you back to a simpler time... the beautiful St. Anns church through the windows, wooden floors and oil lamps on the tables. Both of my children went to the guest rooms after each of their weddings to start their honeymoons, and that does say something for the Tavern! Fine Dining and a wonderful colonial atmosphere, this is want Annapolis is all about.

The food and the service were amazing! Fried green tomatoes are a most! Also, make sure to check the pub in the basement. So much history! We'll definitely come back.

Reynolds Tavern in Annapolis is a wonderful neighborhood gem. Delicious and varied menu that has creative elements coupled with standard fare that appeal to traditional and experimental tastes. Both staff and kitchen are willing to alter a dish (ie, no pasta or rice) with a substitution. From salad, soup, to main course -- all was superb and fresh. The fish was not drowned in a sauce. The vegetables were not steeped in butter. The wait staff was extremely accommodating and on hand when needed. The two dining rooms are lovely and very Annapolis. Charming.

Wonderful experience with friendly staff and good food.

I was expecting a more rustic feel based on the online menu, but I really liked the charmingly historical feel. There are even glass cases featuring artifacts found under the building. I wish they had used the space in the room better, as the room was mostly empty the whole time and they seated everyone at very close tables, but the servers were polite, informed, and available. The cream of crab soup was some of the best I've ever had, and the rest of the meal was good but not really memorable. I probably won't be back soon because there are so many places to eat within walking distance, but I enjoyed the meal and I'm glad I tried the place.

Went to Reynolds Tavern for drinks and dinner before a concert at Rams Head tavern. Got there early and had drinks in the basement (1747 Pub) until the restaurant opened. After drinks was seated upstairs in a room that looked out at the capitol building. Very nice! Food was very good (I had the Filet Mignon and she had the Rockfish). Perfect amount of food, good service...it was a good restaurant selection!

We would have had a lovely dining experience if the very loud group of ladies were not talking so very loud across their long table. Yes, the acoustics in a historic tavern are not expected to be installed so much, but the rudeness of their boisterous loud talking (yelling) across the table ruined it for all of the other diners. One group of ladies left the restaurant because of the noise level. My friends and I have seen this happen in various restaurants before. We were hoping when the food came out, the folks would settle down. Not really. Sorry, Reynolds Tavern. It wasn’t a pleasant dining experience.

Me and my daughter absolutely love going to Reynolds we love it for lunch we love it for afternoon tea we have never had a bad experience you always feel welcomed

Afternoon tea at Reynolds Tavern is lovely. The historic building has such great character and a cozy, warm atmosphere. They have a large list of loose-leaf teas from white to green to black and everything in between. Oh, and the scones are amazing -- especially the cranberry orange! Don't miss a chance to enjoy the experience!

So very disappointed. Reynolds Tavern has always been one of my “must go to” restaurants in Annapolis. We don’t get there so often these days but my husband and I scheduled a getaway over the holiday weeekend (MLK) with his brother and wife. They had never been to Annapolis and I was excited to go to my Annapolis favorite with them. It is nothing like it used to be. There were no specials; the menu in the dining room seems same as pub - which I think they are giving more attention. I had the rockfish. It was overlooked and fishy . The waitress was rough around the edges. The restaurant seemed shabby and unclean - not as pristine as I recalled. Thankfully my in-laws were satisfied their meals. So I wasn’t totally embarrassed for raving about Reynolds. Otherwise I would have given 1 Star.

My mom and I go for tea here every now and then in memory of my grandma, who used to love afternoon tea. This is the best!

Its always an amazing experience going to the tavern. I just wish there were more vegetarian options that paired well with a cup/pot of tea other than the vegetable quiche, which is quite great itself.

Neat place and atmosphere. Food was good but service was erratic so some arrived late and cold. Would go again and hope for a better experience.

Wonderful food. Accommodating staff. I have a large service dog and they worked to make us comfortable in an out of the way place.

Such a lovely environment for a special lunch or dinner. Tables are close so it tends to be a bit loud. Food and tea service along with the holiday decorations made it a perfect sisters lunch.

We were party of four. Only 2 other tables occupied in the dinning room where we were seated. Though the entrées were tasty enough they unfortunately arrived cold. Table service was lacking attention. If those two issues are to be addressed then we would have happily given more stars. Keep trying.
