Revolution at Beaver Creek Lodge Ratings and Reviews
A restaurant inside another hotel - the food is not well priced and stands more on name then it does on quality. Ultimately, there are only so many options inside the village but this one could have easily been over looked. Not a waste of a night, or a bad meal - but not worth going out of the way for at all.
We had heard so many good things from neighbors in Beaver Creek so we decided to give Revolution a try. I love the concept of meat, fish, chicken, etc. cooked on a rotisserie and sealing in the juices BUT.....I had Duck which had a lot of raw fat surrounding the meat which was dry and very gamey. Probably the worst Duck I’ve ever had. My daughter ordered Tuna which was cooked nice and rare but was tasteless. My husband’s Salmon looked good but he wasn’t happy either. Guess we will stick with our old favs in BC.
We have a second home in Beaver Creek and dine out frequently. My wife and I were very impressed with Revolution this summer. However, our dinner this week was ok. In particular, my wife ordered the Wagyu tenderloin steak entry for $95. My wife grew up on a farm and has judged beef. She felt that the beef quality was not very good. The steak was hard to cut and very flavorful (bland). For a $95 steak, in her opinion it should have been easy to cut and better flavor.
Wine list is good and has some good values.
On a positive note, our server was very attentive and did a great job.
Restrooms are in the hotel lobby and were not very clean.
Had two new York strips last night. Meat was poor quality, fatty and chewy Cooked med well as opposed to med rare as ordered. This is sad as we have had great meals here in the past. For the price of the meats, they should be great steaks. Will have to think twice about coming back and ordering steaks again.
I understand it was close to your last day and you were closing for the season. BUT, that steak was disgusting. So oily and fatty. Gross. Both husband and I were up all night with stomach issues. Outrageous prices for the quality of the food. Just go anywhere else.
Disappointing dining. Started out good with an friendly waiter. Took our order and that was about the last we saw of him until we flagged him down for our bill. I had the tasting menu, which was not good, first 2 courses tasted overcooked and reheated We had to find our own flatware for the entrees. Entrée was gross, took 2 bites and left the rest. Full plate was picked up with no acknowledgement that there was a problem. We had $20 glass of wine, but waiter never came back to see if we wanted another glass. Entrees took just over an hour to come out. We left without the included dessert.
We went to Revolution for our anniversary. I noted this in my reservation and everyone working made note to congratulate us numerous times. My husband order the NY strip- prepared the simple NY style. It was superb! We also received a complimentary dessert on the house for our celebration. Kudos to Revolution- we will be back!
I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The menu is large and diverse--I thought perhaps they might have too varied of a menu and therefore not do any of it well. I was very wrong. My buffalo strip steak was fantastic. My friend's rotisserie tacosere excellent and my other friend's salmon was perfect.
Disappointing. Sister restaurant Hooked has knowledgeable waitstaff and cares about the customer, plus has amazing food and creative chefs. Revolution made a great steak but had a hard time accommodating allergies and our waitress was both lacking in knowledge about the food and lacking in basic customer service skills.
The concept is great and the food is very good, but the prices are shockingly high for the type of food and the setting (casual /rustic approach to the rotisserie dishes; and at least the inside seating feels like it is located inside a hotel ...as opposed to it's 'sister' restaurant in BC Village, for example). The quality of the food is high, but that is true for a number of restaurants in the area/valley, and a number of the entree prices are shocking. Unfortunately the service was not very good. Very nice people but we had to ask for things several times and the pacing was not good. Combining the nice - but casual - setting with the food pricing + service, unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.
The hostess was very friendly, which was the highlight of the meal. This steakhouse is way overrated and overpriced. We ordered the mussels and got clams. The meats on the "off the block" menu were a disappointment. I ordered lamb chops medium rare. They were served medium well were almost entirely fat with very little meat. My husband and son ordered prime rib and it was nothing to write home about. The sides were good but very tiny portions. The dessert selection was poor. We would definitely not recommend this restaurant.
We have tried Revolution on three occasions. We really want to like this place but the poor service and average food makes it difficult to support. The waiters are not knowledgeable about the menu, the food arrived cold, the sauces at the beginning lack taste, the bread served with the sauces was stale. They need to really kick it up if this place wants to last. Makes me wonder if the space while beautiful inside, is doomed.
Food was above expectation given that this place has changed a lot over the years. It's expensive but the food was excellent and the service attentive. When we noted the excellent $20 octopus starter was so small, they brought us another. The wine list is nice and includes a variety of wines. Lamb gyro was fantastic. Nice goat cheese salad. But service was truly fantastic.
