Nice Mexican dishes. Short-rib Mezcal is very nice. Under seasoned faux but fresh nachos. Nice margaritas.
Tres leche cake was dry.
Nice attentive service.
The steak was cooked to perfection (rare) which not a lot of restaurants seem to be able to get right. Flavors were bold and innovative. The only strike was the margarita . . . it was all ice.
We come here often, and honestly, it’s because we know that Gio is here to make our experience the best. We’ve seen him deal with extremely drunk and problematic patrons with empathy, care, and utmost hospitality. There are many boozy brunch places to go to, but he makes it worth coming here above anywhere else!
Was good but sat outside and service was slow
Horrible experience. We were a party of five seated right away. After 45 minutes none of us had our drink orders despite the appetizers being delivered. At 90 minutes two of us still didn’t get our first drinks (a diet soda and a margarita) and two of us didn’t have our entrees. We repeatedly asked for the manager who didn’t come talk to us until 90 minutes when we were more than ready to leave and never return. The manager blamed the waiter but we blame the management who clearly kept seating people despite being understaffed.
This is a go to place for either an everyday dining (bar area is great) or a nice sit down area for special occasion or a date. Both my husband and I had steaks that were well cooked to our liking. Service was good- could have been better if he asked if we wanted another drink instead of just taking the empty glass away. But we have been to this restaurant before and usually always have very attentive service.
Came here for brunch, as I have in the past, and it was a good experience as always. Our server was attentive and patient when we requested a few mods to our food, and made sure everything came out like we asked. The mimosas are always flowing and rarely and empty glass. My only complaint is that the outdoor patio (where we sat this time) is a bit tight in some areas, and uneven pavement in others to where it might be a bit uncomfortable to sit.
We had a delicious brunch at Revolucion. All the orders were prepared properly and were tasty. The service was very kind and attentive, though we did wait a bit long for our food without an explanation. It wasn't so long that it ruined our brunch.
The French Onion Soup is the best I have ever had - a perfect blend of flavors!
The specials are usually really good.
All of the food we have eaten here has the best flavors - excellent!
For dessert - flan is awesome as well as Tres leches in the jar!
Very nice. Mexican for sure. Great steak and sauce. Friendly staff
Been to this restaurant 4 times so far and never been disappointed.
Had old friends in from out of town, and they usually stay in the mag mile / loop for dining when they are here. They took a brief cab ride up, and LOVED IT! We’re always happy to show it off as a neighborhood gem when we have company.
Service was great, really on top of refilling drinks. food was even better. Will definitely be back
We have been going to Revolucion ~6 times a year for several years and have noticed the restaurant is going downhill. Last night was an utter disaster. After arriving at 8:10pm our meal still hadn’t arrived by 9:50pm! We had ask multiple times for an update and to get the food out- and it never came. We ended up paying for our drinks and leaving without eating. Needless to say- we won’t be going back nor will the other friends we brought. This was a team work, management issue as there were failures at every point of the evening. Also we were Seated in the back room where there’s a photo of a firing squad and a dead person on the wall- no joke. Wtf! This restaurant has run its course. Skip it.
One of the best deals for Saturday brunch. Good food and they take bottomless very seriously. Highly recommend it.
The Filet Mignon was so good. A must try!
We were seated and then two women came in with two toddlers. Despite the fact that the restaurant was virtually empty, they were seated right next to us. The kids were loud and busy.
Ugh. Expensive to be with that.
Excellent food. A little pricey but worth it for a treat!
25 dollar bottomless mimosa deal is amazing and Filipe was awesome!
Service staff were very polite and friendly. The only complaint is that it took about 45 minutes for our food to be served and an additional 15 minutes for three people in our group that did not receive their food with the first delivery. Nothing worse than long waits for food and only some orders making it out.
Our steak burger was incredibly overcooked and we barely could eat it. Service was great though.
Food is good but the service aspect is off. Orders go in and servers are plenty, but the meal dragged and items did not come out together. Received another table’s steak. Margaritas were good. $1 charge for hot sauce I requested for my soup and fajitas. Really? There are much better options.
We had a very nice dinner. We liked the variety on the menu, and the short rib and skirt steak entrees were excellent. The ceviche was tasty, though it could use a little heat. We would go back.
We had a delicious salmon dinner. Really good flavors, and the salmon was perfectly cooked.
Our party of four was seated at 1:30pm and our food didn’t arrive until about 3pm. The food was delicious, however after having to complain, it wasn’t worth it.
Start to finish, our experience was excellent. This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. The cadillac margaritas are truly the best we've found! We came for steaks, but the Revolucion burger jumped off the menu and was really delicious! We also had the skirt steak which was good too. We tried the croquetas as an appetizer and they were tasty! It was quiet at 630pm on saturday during poor weather and service was attentive and friendly. Definitely a good stop.
My sister and I stopped in for brunch and had the shortrib skillet and the nutella banana french toast which were both amazing! I opted for the mimosas and she had the bloody marys and we were both satisfied with our choices.
Revolucion was closed. No one in sight, doors locked. My reservation was confirmed for 6:30 on 4/15. Kind of a bummer.
Carlos provided outstanding service to our table!
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we weren't disappointed. Great food. Great staff.
We have had many dinners and parties here. Brunch is fun! Mimosa Breakfasts and other items. Our server was great! He came to the table many times to get all 12 of us served this week! I heard no complaints from anyone in the group, just compliments to the server!
The food was very good, and some of it was excellent. The service when we were there, which was Saturday, with a 7:15 reservation was not what it should have been. We didn't get seated until 7:35, and nobody came to the table for 15 minutes, and we didn't get our first cocktail until after 8:00. Because of the delay we ordered apps with our cocktails, and those took 20 minutes to arrive, Guacamole was very good and the chips were homemade. The shrimp, camarones coquet were quite bad, with so much breading i didn't know if i bit into a shrimp or not. Tasted frozen frankly. The entrees were delicious. Oven roasted half chicken was PERFECT, as was my combo of chile relleno and skirt steak, cooked to perfection. Steak Fajitas were not so good. So really, two misses. The shrimp app and the fajitas and everything else was delicious, including the cocktails. Definitely will return ASAP.
For all of my previous visits to Revolucion I would have rated them 5/5 as the service, food and ambiance are usually excellent. However, this time the staff seemed to be unprepared for our party of 6 even though the reservation was made in advance. We were seated in an area somewhat removed from the rest of the restaurant so our service throughout dinner was slow. The wait staff., as always, was very polite. My main complaint was with the hostess who was aloof and inattentive. I will surely visit Revolucion again as I think this was a rare bad experience.
Food was good as well as service but the kitchen does takes its time to serve on Friday. My nephew had a great time drawing on the paper table covers
The bartender and kitchen were slow, our server brought attention to it, but our dinner ended up being 2 hours, and we were hungry! Delicious food, and they had a last minute reservation open so I can’t complain much!
Great food great place! Went there on a Saturday night with friends . Would definetly return. Love the fresh homemade guacamole. I had the arachera a la verbena and it was delicious
Great service by Carlos. He managed to hit that sweet spot where he was attentive yet still gave us privacy. Food was delicious and quick. What else can you ask for.
The margaritas had no alcohol and we went for my daughters 21st bday! Over priced food! It was very good but the 2 of us spent 100$ on our meals and one drink each!
Great food and great service. My dad even compared the steaks to Ruth’s Chris because of how good everything was.
