We had dinner with friends on New Years Eve and were very pleased with the food, wine list, wait staff and ambiance. The whole Trinity Groves area was lit with white lights from the holidays and it was a wonderful experience.
Are here Christmas Eve and it was sparsely populated. The food and service were outstanding. My husband had one of the best Manhattans ever, made with an oak aged rye. I had a wonderful and unknown to me sparking wine from S America--Guggenheim..... . Appetizers ranged from good crab cakes to wonderful dumplings. The shrimp with black pepper gnocchi was amazing and pork shank very tasty. No dessert for us but what passed by the table looked delish. Service very very good-- well paced, not intrusive, helpful with suggestions and friendly. I would absolutely go here again.
I thought every dish ordered was excellent!!! From Pork cheeks to the Sea Bass!! Appetizers and cocktails also superior. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly wait staff as well. Sure to return shortly for a visit! Even each side dish merits mention. Beautifully prepared excellent ingredients
One of our favorite spots in Dallas. The place is so inviting, the staff always excellent. This was for Sunday brunch for my adult son's birthday. His pick, his favorite. The brunch menu is just great; full meals and light options if a soft shell crab sandwich is actually lighter. All delicious. The french toast in one of the best we have tasted. Their make-your-own-bloody-mary-bar is great but their house made drinks might be better. Try their version of a Moscow mule and their house mimosa. So smooth and delicious more than one seems to be a must. The service is also awesome - friendly, quick, responsive and funny. We go often before Dallas Stars games since it is so easy to hop over the bridge to downtown and the parking is easy. Dinner is always great - Korean fried chicken and the short ribs are our favorites. Will definitley repeat brunch. Well worthwhile.
Great food! Service too. It was a chilly evening and the restaurant was cold. We asked the server if they could turn the heat on, it warmed up after a while...or maybe it was the drinks!
An excellent dining experience. We were greeted by the owner and chose to sit on the patio on a beautiful fall evening. We started with the crab cakes that were exquisite. We followed with the pecan crusted rack of lamb. A little heavy on the pecan crusting bot the fois gras pudding was worth the price of admission. We will return!
First time to this restaurant well deafly exceeded expectations .. six people everyone was please with their entrées .. we discovered Sunday was half-price bottles of wine night.. Will be going back on another Sunday !! Can't remember our servers name ( tall attractive young gentleman ) but did an awesome job and added to our experience very fun guy !!
A great place for date night and for business lunches!
Always great! Steak was awesome!
Great food and excellent staff.
We have been here many times, but were very disappointed this last time. The service was awful and the waiter seemed clueless about everything!! We ordered a bottle of wine which they didn't have so the bartender tried to recommend something else which was nice.
The salads were great as were the apps. I ordered the Pork Shank w/ Lemon and Goat Cheese polenta. It has absolutely no flavor or seasoning. Very disappointed. Another friend ordered the steak Med Rare and it was so rare she could barely eat it. The shrimp and gnocci were good but not a lot of gnocci in the dish.
We did not order dessert, however I did order a Bailey's with coffee. The server was like, well we have coffee and I can see if we have Bailey's and I guess just mix them together. Uh, what??
We were really disappointed and won't be back for a while. Normally one of our favorite places.
Food was delicious and the service was great!
Searched for a casual but nice place for a business lunch in Trinity Groves area. Checked out the menu ahead as not sure the dietary needs or likes/dislikes of those attending. Good selection of lunch options. Easy access, smoke parking and options of indoor or outdoor seating. Great wait staff. Personable yet not intrusive
Very knowledgeable waitstaff. The food was good. I wouldn't say the flavors were perfectly enmeshed. But you could tell the chef was on to something. We have the lobster corn dog, Seabass, and pork shoulder.
We had a great experience! The staff and management were friendly. The food was outstanding.
First time at this restaurant. Special of the day was Rockfish atop a bed of spinach and other yummy ingredients..............it was absolutely delicious and definitely splitable. Also had the crab cakes which came with artichokes and it was delicious as well. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and I'd ask for her again. Definitely will return!!
A unique menu where the unusual is plausible. Lobster corn dogs, really? Yes really and amazing. The short ribs wasn't short on anything. Staff is attentive and friendly. I will be back.
Been there a few times now and service is always great. Friendly and attentive. The chef always comes out to make sure your dining experience is excellent.
Fabulous time! We met for a girls' day out and had a wonderful time! The setting, the scenic view, great service and the FABULOUS food! You must try the crab cakes with chipotle and orange sauce - we had two plates. Our server, Alec, was attentive without being overbearing. He let us enjoy each other without hovering.
Service was terrible. Didn't receive two side dishes we ordered. We ordered the shrimp with gnocchi. It was served without the gnocchi.
It took 5 minutes to hail waiter to inform him, and when we did he did nothing. We didn't eat the shrimp or received the side dishes . We spent $130 and went home hungry.
Was a great place to meet for biz lunch. Quiet enough to carry on conversation. Good food. great service.
Service was kind if not a little scattered. Seems like the norm here. Always love the food for any meal!
Overall, the food was very enjoyable and tasty. We each felt like we ordered the best thing on the menu and everyone was very pleased with their meal. Our waitress was very helpful in selecting each of our choices, and helped make the meal special.
Restaurant was closed on July 4th, yet accepted reservations. Luckily we went to the fish place and had a GREAT time...
Our server was great. The food was awesome and the plates had amazing decor. Great spot!
The doors were locked when we arrived. No activity anywhere.
Food was averaged and overpriced. Ambiance was nice. The pork belly was not really pork belly.
Great area for cocktails, sitting outside and enjoying the evening.
If you are ordering, beware of the "rare" ahi. One was too dry to handle the other looked rare but was rubbery.
Service was ok, not inattentive but would have liked to have seen our waiter a little more.
The drinks were good and we would return for a patio cocktail before venturing to a neighboring restaurant for dinner.
We enjoyed our dinner and each of us found something appealing to eat. The restaurant has a large uncrowded patio where we could sit and talk in the pleasant evening. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food offerings. The restaurant was not too busy while we were there so we did not feel at all rushed.
The food was terrific, a very appealing eclectic sampling from fish to chicken to filet. Try the crabcake appetizer. Very nice restaurant.
Great experience overall with food and atmosphere. Could tell server was tired or disengaged - he had trouble answering simple questions about the menu.
Standard Italian food dishes prepared without flaws. Servings are quite large.
Love all of the desserts and always great service
Resto seemed great upon arrival but after three watered down drinks and a $16 charcuterie board (which contained three pieces of pepperoni, some salami, one slice of prosciutto and three triangles of cheese) my friends and I were over it. We ate dinner at a neighboring restaurant due to better overall value. Resto is overpriced and underwhelming to say the least. The only thing going for them is the outdoor space/ ambiance.
Been here three times now, took girlfriend on our first date here, she loved the sea bass. She was insistent on our return often and guess what, more sea bass. I enjoyed the lamb rack and gnocchi on my end.
Get the chicken & waffles off their brunch menu- you won't be disappointed!:)
Had dinner on the patio-- was very nice experience. Service was slow bc they were understaffed. The most annoying thing was that half of the craft cocktails were unavailable: out of 8, 4 were not orderable because they didn't have ingredients. Mud pie desert was very good.
The explosion in your mouth from the various flavors that the chef prepares for you will have you coming back for more. Please try the Chai Sangria. To die for!!!!!!!!!!
Meal was great and we enjoyed the miso glazed sea bass and the filet. Cocktails were outstanding; however, I wish they had advertised the "Resto Refreshments" of the evening instead of me noticing them displayed behind the bar as we got up to leave. Only real complaint is the ambiance -- consistent with most of our experiences in Trinity Groves, allowing people to dine on the patio really kills the atmosphere inside of the restaurant.
Korean Friend chicken and lobster corn dogs were amazing!!!!!
