Love eating here! Food great, service is fab and owner greets her guests.
Interesting, tasty menu with lots of variations. Soups are fabulous. Service is personal and attentive. Locally owned by great community folks!
First time here and it was ok/good but everything needed some tweaking... it was either bland or way over seasoned. No happy medium. Prices are great and the service was good.
Food was excellent. Creative combination of ingredients.
Unfortunately the service was terrible.
Everything is good - food, wine, and service. Restauration is our go-to place for special or just because.
friendly, helpful staff; excellent food that is unique in Lafayette area.
I really enjoy the different food. Not your everyday food that we see all most restaurants
Tried Restauration for the first time this weekend for our anniversary dinner. Very clean. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Wine and desert was very good. Both dinner Entrees were not good. It was an ok experience, but will not be going back.
The nachos are amazing! My favorite is the option for fall: butternut squash, shaved brussel sprouts, brie and other ingredients blend to make this a must order! I've tried many entrees, and they were all notable. However, the yucca fries are also on my must order list! Not only are they delicious, but this is not an item you can get just anywhere.
Saturday night 29th - 2 hour wait for dinner after having reservations, food was cold and overcooked.. ruined a good piece of salmon and ny strip. we were very disappointed. server tried to make amends but she either left the food under the heater too long or the kitchen was dysfunctional. The poor service did not seem to bother the manager as we never got a visit from them. We did get a discounted bill but $$ wasn't important we were out for dinner. Lafayette is certainly struggling to get good quality restaurants.
Excellent farm to table restaurant. Everything is made in house. Roasted chicken had a crisp skin with moist flesh. Pear, prosciutto, Brie cheese sandwich was excellent served on toasted homemade bread. Service was very good. The atmosphere is taverney
and enjoyable, casual attire would be fine. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely return to try more on the menu.
We were so happy to have found this spot. Our server was very helpful and patient and professional. The menu is fantastic and we had a cider that the server recommended that everyone loved. Highly recommended on all aspects of our experience!
Wonderful dinner with my hometown friend who lives in Chicago. She was very impressed with the food and has so many great places in Chicago to go. We had great service and a fantastic time visiting!
Food and service were very good. We showed up early for our reservation and they got us in early
We had a wonderful server and she took good care of us. We ordered the Nachos for an appetizer and though they aren't your typical Nachos they were absolutely fantastic! We will definitely be returning!
We had an absolutely wonderful meal. Squash was in season and I had an amazing soup and mac and cheese featuring seasonal vegetables. Really appreciate the selection of vegetarian options.
We really enjoyed this farm to table gem in lafayette!
Creative menu using seasonal ingredients. This was our first visit but won't be our last -- everything was delicious!
Love it!! Great food and service.
Service was very good until we got our checks, then we never say her again. Had to ask another waiter to take our money so we could make it to the theater. In her defense she had tables upstairs and downstairs which doesn't see very efficient.
too loud to enjoy the company of the people I was with
Simple, yet creative twists on local food. Very good dining experience. Relaxed, comfortable environment and warm, personable service. Definitely worthwhile.
The new fall menu has a plethora of superb options. The vegetarian sandwich and the butternut squash dip are Devine!
Delicious food and great drinks but the service was pretty poor. We were done with our meals and they were sitting in front of us for over 20 minutes and all we wanted was our food to be boxed up. We thought our waiter had gone off shift.
We had an excellent meal with our foodie daughter on Purdue parents' weekend. We had the chorizo stuffed bacon wrapped dates as an appetizer - amazing. My husband had and LOVED the pork steak (served with some very excellent whipped sweet potatoes with chipotle relish. Steak was charred but amazingly juicy - perfect combo. My daughter had the 50:50 burger with yuca fries - I thought the fries were dense but she loved the crispiness. I had the herb (mint and cilantro) marinated chicken (all dark meat), which was outstanding, served with a risotto with chorizo that had unfortunately seized up and had a dense texture but that nonetheless tasted great. We got three desserts - amaretto bread pudding (great taste but pretty dense), peach tart (daughter raved) and chocolate torte (husband loved it). Service was prompt, not overly attentive but usually appropriately so (serving better than clearing). Overall, a great spot and (especially compared to bigger cities) a good or even great value.
The food was very good, this place is one of the best options in an area saturated with college kid targets who want bulk and volume. I'd return and definitely recommend Restauration to others.
Food was okay, not great. We had burgers and yuca fries. The yuca fries were not good when they cooled off. Yuca is not a local vegetable, so odd to serve in a locally-sourced restaurant. The burger buns and the fried pickles were very good. The burgers themselves (combo of beef and pork, and beef and chorizo) were not flavorful.
Great, delicious food. They were swamped, so the service was a little slow. But otherwise, everything was wonderful.
I go here often as I eat a vegan diet and they are very accommodating. My husband and friends are not vegan and they also think the choices and food is wonderful. They have great beers and yummy cocktails with fresh juice like cantaloupe!
As always, Restauration is the gem of Lafayette. Food is amazing, atmosphere delightful, plus local sourced creations!
Weird organic locally sourced foodie kind of place. Not to my taste but some may love it. My wife did. I did not like it. Server was very nice and people were friendly.
Service was really slow for a Wednesday evening with many open seats. Drinks took a long time to arrive. We ordered salads, but they weren't served to all of us at the same time. We weren't even done with the salads when mains were brought out. Main dishes were decent, but I got a burger and the bun was dry and fell apart when I picked it up. Cheesy grits were a bit undercooked.
All in all, I've had much better experiences here in the past, so maybe it was just an off-night for everyone.
We booked a table here for dinner as we were in town dropping off our boys at Purdue. The food was excellent. Salads were fresh and huge and my salad had a mojito dressing that was very tasty. My NY steak was cooked perfectly and was paired with very good small roasted potatoes. Deserts were incredible. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the food. Most of what we ate was sourced from nearby farms. Overall, very good dining experience and we'll be back every time we are in town.
We arrived at 7:15 on a Friday, and it was not that busy yet. We were seated at a nice table upstairs. The server brought water and mentioned having a trainee working with her that night. They came back after a while and took a food order. She said she would bring us bread shortly. She never brought the bread. Then another server brought the food to the table. We asked him if we could place a drink order. He sent our server back to the table. She took the drink order and brought it fairly promptly. She checked our water later in the meal. We finished eating, and she offered dessert. We declined and paid the check. We both had a steak and cheesy grits. It really needed a vegetable, perhaps with an acidic vinaigrette to cut the richness of the cheese. A both the food and the service were a bit disappointing for an anniversary dinner. We likely will choose a different restaurant next time.
Food andexperience was great. I will recommend this place to our family and friends. Price was a little high but the food was great.
No reason to return. Mediocre food, waitress lost in space.
Clever menu with a great use of unusual but recognizable flavorings. Modern and fun.
Checking out the area because a friend is moving to Lafayette. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Excellent for those with food allergies.
The menu offered a unique selection of food items and drinks. Probably the best part of the experience though was the atomsphere. It's very dark, romantic, and trendy-- I would recommend that friends go here to meet up for drinks or dates go to enjoy some wine and a meal.
This was my first visit to Restauration, as I now live out of state. Met friends there from high school for lunch. The food was amazing and portions were generous! The hardest part was deciding what to order. Will definitely return when I'm back in town. Loved it!
