This is a great place, and we have been there many times, and love it every time. I would caution against ordering any spirits from the bar. They are a tad overpriced in my opinion. 2 glasses of Oban 14 (2 oz pours) were $56! Despite that, the food is fantastic and the prices are very good for your portions. This is a wonderful place for brunch.
It was a beautiful decor and the mimosas were just delightful. However, the pancakes were a little burnt.
Food was great.
Waiter not very professional.
Wobbly table and flies all over the window where we were seated. Its hard to eat while swatting flies away from your food.
I love this restaurant. Very intimate setting and the food is amazing. I try to eat here every time I come to Arlington. Highly recommend, but get reservations. It's a small venue, but oh so worth it.
Always an elegant meal, well prepared and tasty. Background music was at just the right level, the menu varied enough to suit everyone's taste.
Wonderful brunch in lovely ambiance but very noisy. Good food and service.
Brunch with good friends we don’t get to see often enough. We had a great time and the food and drinks were excellent. Service was attentive and courteous. Couldn’t be more happy with our experience.
Restaurant506 at The Sanford House is an upscale restaurant but without Dallas high prices.
The staff were personable, friendly, helpful and professional.
Everything was excellent !!
Average Fine Dining food
Average Fine Dining facility
Over priced by 30-40% compared to other local fine dining
This was my first experience at Restaurant506. It did not disappoint! We ate quick bites before a concert at AT&T Stadium but I definitely want to return to eat the dinner menu. The staff are very friendly.
Soup and chicken salad very disappointing. Service was good, and surroundings were pleasant but my lunch selection was average and overpriced.
Food was delicious. The environment was calm and nicely decorated in keeping with the historic nature of the hotel. The servers were pleasant, but, unfortunately, incredibly slow. Cocktail offerings were pitiful, which was highly disappointing since libations from The Library were unavailable (Our prior experience at the Library was a big influence in choosing to brunch here, & for us crafted cocktails are major part of the brunch experience).
The food was some of the best tasting that I have ever eaten at a restaurant.
We just had brunch here and it was delicious! Our server was amazing and the dining rooms are beautiful. We had a group of 6 and everyone said it was the best brunch they had ever had.
If you like quiet, elegant dining, Restaurant506 at The Sanford House is the restaurant for you.
The occasion was my birthday brunch with the ladies. This was our first time here. The location was great and the restaurant layout, scenery and server were outstanding. We made reservations to have our Christmas Dinner her in December.
We had the Friday special Prime Rib, it was cooked perfectly and delicious.
While making reservations, a question was, “are you celebrating anything?” I answered our anniversary but thinking that this will not go any further than this questionnaire. Well, after we had our main course meal, our waiter surprisingly brought us two specialty drinks accompanied by a wonderful dessert with a lit candle to top it off! The dinner was exactly what I thought it would be plus more!
Have eaten here many times. Have never been disappointed. Excellent cocktails and wine selection. Sensitive to gluten free requirements. Had the pork chop and it is probably the best meal I have ever had there!
The young man that was our server was very nice and checked on us constantly to see if we needed anything and was the food to our liking
This is my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is amazing. They can elevate any meal such as a simple burger.
Loved the little muffins served before our brunch and the frittata was yummy! The Key Lime pie was fabulous! love the ambiance of this restaurant as well.
I have been numerous times for Sunday Brunch and I receive consistent food, service, atmosphere, and drinks. The staff is friendly and professional. The location is good with a large parking lot.
Wonderful food with wonderful service and chef came out to speak with us about the food and thanked him for a lovely meal. Everything was perfect!
The food was good, but we expected good service at your restaurant since it is considered upsale. There were only 3 of us for a birthday dinner and our server had several tables in both rooms and one was a large group. We went most of the night without our glasses being filled. When the check finally came so we could leave it was $20.00 more than it should have been with whisky added, which we didn't drink. I would suggest at a minimum other people could fill water glasses. I had to ask the hostess to get our waiter to get service. I will not come back because I do not enjoy being treated that way at an expensive restaurant. If you want to be a upscale restaurant please hire enough servers to make your guests feel special.
Food was delicious, excellent services, nice place
Thought it would be fun to celebrate our 30th anniversary at the Sanford House 506 during restaurant week. The meal and the server were fine but we were seated at a small table along the wall in the North dining room. This same room had one very large & far too loud party in the middle of the room. The other 2 couples that were also in same dining room at their small tables probably felt the same; no one wanted to hear all the intimate details of this large party's assorted tales. And what really topped it off was one the dinner guests in this group pulled out her cell phone & watched a video at a volume that had to rise above the increasing vocals of this group. I thought I could have been at a fast-food spot frequented by rowdy teens or post-game sports bar & had the same experience. I understand dividing the number of patrons between the 2 servers in the 2 dining rooms but I think if we ever return to try the 506 again & are seated next to another large party we will walk. The experience is ruined when you cannot enjoy your surroundings and only the conversation of your dinner guest.
Service excellent, food well prepared ($$) But when they put a party of 10 in the middle of the room, all ambiance was lost along with any hope of hearing the wait staff, dining companions or even one’s own thoughts.
totally enjoyable. Our group was able to sit, relax, and enjoy a nice conversation without having to shout across the table. Very pleasant in every way.
If you are looking for an intimate restaurant to have dinner this is the place. Cute tables snuggled up in a window cove, beautiful courtyard with seating, in an unexpected place in the city. The food is delicious and well put together. Nice little wine list that doesn't disappoint.
Great experience. Fantastic food. We will be back!!!
Our server was nice and helpful, but it took a minute to be waited on. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a college group of "kids", who were drinking, a bit loud and cussing. We were expecting a quiet, enjoyable brunch, so that was disappointing. I'm 52 and my mother is almost 80. Maybe think about how you're seating people by age? However, the food was fabulous! We had brunch so we would like to try lunch during the week sometime, and perhaps it won't be as crowded too as we came on Saturday. Thanks
Second time we’ve been for Restaurant Week. One of us had a meal from the regular menu. Both were very delicious and a good value. Restaurant Week coincides with our anniversary each so that’s always nice.
My sister and I went out to celebrate her promotion at work and this place did not disappoint. From the small bite palate cleansers to the lobster risotto we were quite blown away. The wait staff is phenomenal and the wine list to die for and priced reasonably.
6 of us had brunch on the porch. The atmosphere was great.
All of our meals were delicious.?The carafe of mimosas is a wonderful way to go!!
The hostess gave us a tour of the rooms and property which was fabulous!!
This is one of our favorite restaurants !!
Very accommodating for changes we asked for to our brunch. Food was very good as usual. We always go for lunch or brunch. Prices almost double for dinner. Just another benefit for us being retired that we can go earlier in the day. One of the best things is the awesome service. Familiar faces are a very nice plus!
Definitely for the ladies who lunch crowd. It’s nice. Antique decor. Wait staff was fine. Food was fine.
Very elegant and tasty meal and excellent service. Good for entertaining or special occasion
While it used to be one of our favorites for brunch, since they brought on the new chef a few weeks back, which we were notified of after we were seated we've come to realize we may not be going back. The food was good, but lacked the flavor and presentation it did in the past. There were changes to the menu as well. and not necessarily for the better.
