Restaurant506 at The Sanford House Ratings and Reviews
Always the best fresh (never frozen) food and a very classy boutique . Short but great wine list. Cost is very reasonable for the quality of goodness. Would expect 5 star prices but prices are more akin to a chain. Excellent one of a kind experience.
A friend joined me for a lovely lunch. Food was delicious. They added an avocado cream sauce to dip our chips in when we asked. Service was excellent. Our tea glass was filled constantly. Only downside was the people at another table. STOOD to visit and talked so loud we couldn’t hear each other. Hope that multi-million dollar deal works out for them! Maybe some rugs would help with the noise level. Still one of my favorite places to go to treat myself.
John Kline and staff are still outstanding. My wife's trout was excellent, as were the quail I ordered. The Southern Comfort Manhattan from the bar was quite tasty. The She-Crab soup and pork belly appetizers were great starters. A great restaurant just gets better and better.
I waited until the last minute to make reservations to meet out-of-town friends. I couldn't contact them to change the time. The woman at the desk was so kind and told me she could put us in the bar lounge. We practically had a private room for our luncheon. The food is so good and the noise level is low enough to enable conversations (you can't say that about many places nowadays). We stayed and talked for a long time and no one hovered saying we stayed too long. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. This is my go-to place for fine dining.
Restaurant 506 at The Sanford never disappoints. The service is always outstanding, ask for Chad if he’s available, he’s always fabulous. This has been our date night & anniversary place for the last few years, but I recently went vegan at my doctors recommendation for health reasons. The chef prepares a wonderful vegan couscous and they had to die for brown sugared brussel sprouts on the menu this visit! Always lovely being able to eat at our favorite places and still have vegan options that taste delicious. Thank you Chef!
To celebrate my daughter's return from a 4 months stay in Europe, she, her daughter and I had Sunday Brunch at our favorite Arlington dining spot, 506. It was a delightful and memorable experience. We have celebrated graduation, birthdays and other special events at 506 and this occasion was just as enjoyable as all the others.
What used to be one of Arlington's best kept dining secrets has become 'the' place for fine food, excellent service and pleasing ambiance.
Service was excellent as always. Food temperature was a bit colder than usual. Also my friend ordered the beef tips but was not much meat in the dish which the server quickly corrected. I ordered the breakfast tower and the sausage was a bit dry but still tasty. Still one of my most favorite places for brunch and will definitely be back.
Excellent food, carefully curated menu. Pacing of the meal was a bit too slow and the room was quite chilly. When spending this much for dinner, one doesn’t expect a football game on the tv in the bar. The doors should be closed. But the food was definitely worth it.
The staff followed through with my requests 100 per cent. We had our favorite table with our favorite waiter!!
We were celebrating my brother's recent retirement . He and his wife were totally overwhelmed with the restaurants atmosphere, staff and the extensive menu choices. The food was delicious!!!
We appreciate everyone making this such a special occasion!!
Beautiful place and right in the heart of arlington. The rooms are very nice. The dining is a bit crowded and when it’s full the noise level rises tremendously. Very close tables so not easy to have an intimate dining experience. The food was amazing. The service top notch. Very pricey.
We went to Cafe 506 for a Sunday brunch date. The food was outstanding. Spicy Bloody Mary's were perfectly spicy. The atmosphere was probably a little noisier than usual as the place was filled with Cowboys/Chiefs fans going to the game that day. Great service. We will definitely go again.
As usual, food and service were excellent. My wife had Oso Buco and it melted in her mouth. I had the Pork Loin and it was juicy and tender. Sauce was a little strong but pleasant. Atmosphere was relaxing and sound levels allowed for easy conversation. We will return again.
I took my husband to the Sanford House for his birthday. We loved every minute of our evening. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful! They made us feel like we were the only diners in the restaurant that evening. It's the perfect place for a special occasion, but no need to wait for a special occasion. I'm pretty sure it's the kind of restaurant that would make any evening out a special event. Thank you Sanford House for a wonderful evening!
After reading great reviews we decided to give it a try and it was spectacular! Wonderful ambience and attentive and pleasant staff. The food was excellent, we both had steak. My wife also had the lobster mac n cheese! A wonderful meal, great wine selection. Chef even stopped by to check on us.
Take a stroll through the property, it is beautiful setting.
I had a couple of good weeks in sales, my wife and I had always wanted to try restaurant 506. So we decided that was a good enough excuse to go on Friday night. We walked in and the noise level was down low the decor is outstanding, Chad our waiter was very helpful, never hurried. We both ordered the she-crab soup and were debating over what the flavors in it were when the chef came by the table and we asked him what were all the different flavors we could identify a few but he identified the remaining ones for us, very interesting. For for entrees my wife had the scallops and I had the prime rib. To say it was the best prime rib I've ever had would be an understatement. We closed out with some dessert I had the bread pudding which I normally don't like but Chad said I should try it if I didn't like it he would take it back. He did not have to take it back!
Quaint quite restaurant with great service, great food. Wine list could use some work, especially increasing by the glass options. Salmon, halibut, prime New York strip were all excellent. Grilled ceaser, crap cakes, grilled scallops, green salad all perfect starters. Key lime pie very good.
