Quiet, cozy and very romantic restaurant. Food is excellent... world class! Service is 5 star!
It was great!
We really enjoyed both the food and the ambiance . It was quiet so you could enjoy conversation with friends and the food was very good. Sea bass and lamb were excellent. Shrimp dish was bland, however.
17th-19th century Europe implantation into 21st century Arlington, TX. Some will appreciate; for us, it's just old, overpriced, over-hyped, and attempting to be quaint and nostalgic, not our cup 'o tea.
This restaurant is Ahh-mazing! I took my mom for an early Mother's Day brunch. We had never been before. We loved everything about it. We were sat at a cozy table overlooking the porch. Our server Rebecca was very courteous, prompt and very helpful. We will be back.
Sanford is a special place with many wonderful memories.
The place far exceeded our expectations. We've wanted to try it for a long time and finally did. It's hard these days, to find a restaurant where the atmosphere is quiet and conducive to actual conversation. We found that and more. The chef even came out of the kitchen at one point and made his way to each table making sure that everything met expectations. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back.
The lamb chop with bacon jam was AMAZING!
As always, impeccable. Chef Klein creates a menu that appeals to many tastes, and every dish is carefully prepared and presented. My fish was cooked perfectly, and the sides were a perfect match. The staff is friendly, efficient, and prompt. On top of everything else, prices are reasonable, making it an absolutely great value.
The food was good just not what I wanted. I made my decision to go there based off what the online menu stated they were having and even changed my reservation. I was totally disappointed once I saw that and just made the best of the situation. And would I go back probably not.
My husband and I went there to celebrate our 16th Wedding Anniversary. I had always wanted to experience a meal there. and it was everything I had dreamed of - elegant furnishings, formal table setting, delicious food prepared by a gourmet chef, polite and friendly service. I would definitely recommend it as a special occasion location!
Prime rib night is always great! With bacon jam, au jus and horseradish sauce! Yum! New menu looks great! The new chicken with the burre blanc pasta was really good. Summer corn chowder and scallops were great appetizers. Chocolate decadence is decadent. I would/will go again! Pretty good vino selection! Come early and spend a little time in the bar.........
We enjoyed introducing our friends from around to 506 for first time . As always good & service excellent!
We was celebrate my sister birthday! We enjoy!! Delicious
Celebrated a co-workers' birthday. The food was very good!
Overall great experience. By far the best crab cakes I’ve ever had.
We were also celebrating two birthdays. The entrees, dessert & cocktails were delicious.
The wait staff was fabulous, especially our waitress Micki.
Everything was wonderful except one major thing. We asked for a gluten free menu, which they have available. We ordered something off of that menu and we questioned our waiter over whether what we received was truly gluten free, and were assured it was. My father has celiac disease, and contact with gluten at the very least makes him extremely sick. He was visiting from across the country, and this visit was ruined by him having to spend the last two days of it in bed unable to even walk around. After following up with the restaurant, it was discovered that the waiter rang his meal in incorrectly and my dad was served a plate containing a large amount of regular pasta. After discussing this, I was told that the chef would contact me directly to discuss how they could make it right. Several days later, I have still not heard from anyone at the restaurant.
An unexpected treasure!! Food was excellent...service was top notch! Our server Demetrius went above & beyond. Atmosphere was a lot nicer than expected (not casual, but we were accepted with open arms disputed being in very casual clothing). So happy we found this place. Will come back next time we are in town for sure! Highly recommended.
Excellent AGAIN! Rack of lamb was perfect. Trout was superb. Demetrius is once again a gracious server.
Service and ambiance was good, food was unimpressive
Friendly staff, locally family owned with a chef who cares!
We continue to enjoy every visit to this place. The chef and all of the staff are top notch!
Lovely spa and restaurant in an old world charm
A beautiful restaurant with good food. Dim the lights for a more romantic atmosphere. Outstanding customer service.
Food was fantastic! I would definitely recommend their brunch.
THis place is fabulous! I never even heard of it before but I certainly am happy that I found this place!!!!! Osso Buco is the BEST!
My husband's meal was extremely undercooked. Had to wait to eat until his 2nd entree was prepared. Not impressed.
I ordered the chile rubbed pork belly eggs benedict. The first dish I got was cold. I asked the waiter if it could just be heated up, and he took it back and brought me a fresh one. It was still luke warm, and the pork belly had not flavor. The potatoes were seasoned with something that made them very bitter. I do have to say the 506 bloody cesar was amazing and is highly recommended. However, for the price, I feel that there are better options for food out there for the cost of meal.
Separate dining rooms provided cozy, quiet experience. Menu was diverse with something for everyone. Wait service was attentive and genuine. Sunday brunch was our first visit, but were definitely going back for dinner. A unique dining experience in Arlington.
Amazing food! Ordered the scallop dish - they even had a palette cleansing sorbet between the appetizers & main entree!
The property was beautiful, the food was plentiful and very tasty. I wished they would have offered the lunch menu as well as the brunch menu but it was still very good. My friend and I were confused as to which door to use to enter so we went for the door with the "open" sign and we walked into a room with a large party seated. It looked like a brides maid luncheon but we quickly left that room and found a hallway that took us to the front entrance with a hostess that seated us right away. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. Overall a nice visit with my friend.
My husband and I went here for our 15th anniversary. We arrived early to sit at the bar and have a drink (or two) before dinner. I tried the Jalapeno Mango Martini and the Blood Orange Bellatini. Both were very delicious. We then went in for dinner and since it was a Thursday night there were fewer patrons. The restaurant had saved us a cozy table in the window so we could look out (although it was dark so you couldn't see much past the porch). We had the lamb pop and brussel sprout appetizers, both were delicious. My husband who does not like brussel sprouts said if they always taste like this he would eat them all the time. We both had the ribeye and I asked for risotto instead of potatoes. We finished with some dessert and they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. We did take plenty of food home as the portions were a good size.
If looking for a restaurant for a special occasion, this is one to try. I have been there for lunch too and that is also worth trying.
We always enjoy the Sanford for the tasty menu, ambiance, and service . The staff is well trained and it shows in their excellent service.
How I wish that when building this cozy spot more room was allowed between tables in order to add privacy and intimacy. It’s just way too crowded !!!!!
The lunch menu is a little limited. Would love to see a chicken salad not as a sandwich along with a fruit cup or pasta cup.
The crab cakes are excellent! Not heavy breading and great flavor.
The chocolate cake was too rich even for me and that is saying a lot. I wanted to exchange it for something else but didn’t feel comfortable doing so on a business lunch.
The food was mediocre as well as cocktails. Staff were very good. Won’t go back.
Very nice place for brunch. Quaint and good food.
We found 506 in a newspaper review years ago and keep it as the go to place in Mid Cities.
The service and food are excellent and exceptional. The environment is as if you were visiting a friend’s home.
I was guest of dear friend celebrating my birthday.
It was a perfect evening...great food and service.
My friend lives in Dallas and he thinks this is the best restaurant...loves it for the ambiance.
