Second time we’ve been for Restaurant Week. One of us had a meal from the regular menu. Both were very delicious and a good value. Restaurant Week coincides with our anniversary each so that’s always nice.
My sister and I went out to celebrate her promotion at work and this place did not disappoint. From the small bite palate cleansers to the lobster risotto we were quite blown away. The wait staff is phenomenal and the wine list to die for and priced reasonably.
6 of us had brunch on the porch. The atmosphere was great.
All of our meals were delicious.?The carafe of mimosas is a wonderful way to go!!
The hostess gave us a tour of the rooms and property which was fabulous!!
This is one of our favorite restaurants !!
Very accommodating for changes we asked for to our brunch. Food was very good as usual. We always go for lunch or brunch. Prices almost double for dinner. Just another benefit for us being retired that we can go earlier in the day. One of the best things is the awesome service. Familiar faces are a very nice plus!
Definitely for the ladies who lunch crowd. It’s nice. Antique decor. Wait staff was fine. Food was fine.
Very elegant and tasty meal and excellent service. Good for entertaining or special occasion
While it used to be one of our favorites for brunch, since they brought on the new chef a few weeks back, which we were notified of after we were seated we've come to realize we may not be going back. The food was good, but lacked the flavor and presentation it did in the past. There were changes to the menu as well. and not necessarily for the better.
My fiancé and I went to Sunday brunch here and we loved it! Great value on a carafe of mimosas and large brunch portion sizes! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
We went for Sunday morning brunch - not our first time. The menu is diverse, atmosphere is quiet and the service is great.
Excellent brunch for special occasions. Food was delicious and perfectly prepared. We will return soon to try both the lunch and dinner menus.
Excellent dining experience
My husband and friend ordered the filet with shrimp. The filet was extremely small and disappointing; very poor value for the $44. It was also very warm in the room, where several people were actually sweating. Our waiter turned the thermostat down after we requested it be lowered, however. We had a party of 8, and several people commented that they probably wouldn’t be returning because of the inflated prices for mediocre food, unfortunately. I did like the salmon, and thought the price was more appropriate.
Everyone and everything we encountered at 506 was impeccable! Each of the staff members were attentive, professional, friendly and very accommodating. The food was excellent. We drove from Denton for our first visit; we will be back, for sure!
Incredible food, like "lick the plate" good. Seasoned perfectly. Lobster risotto creamy with fresh, tender lobster. My husband's crab cake had a delicious pecan crust and crunchy slaw with avocado aioli.
We visited on a quiet, rainy Thursday evening with a view onto the front porch. Friday-Saturday can be super busy, lively especially with stadium or ballpark events, so reservations are highly recommended. Can't wait to visit for brunch!
A wonderful way to celebrate our 19th anniversary. Highly recommend if you are visiting DFW and want to get to know our city, the American Dream City, Arlington, TX.
Simply wonderful brunch.
Took family that were here from out of state. It was a lovely dinner! We love going here for brunch, lunch and dinner. Always a fantastic experience!
It was such a serene environment perfect for special occasions.
Brunch, lunch and dinner. Excellent menu design/variety. Absolutely flawless food and drinks. Four of us ate but only have pictures of two brunch items.
Nice unique brunch menu options, especially if you have a big appetite. Accommodated substitute when I asked for sausage instead of shrimp on Frittata-they kindly obliged and it was very good.
Dinner at the Sanford House was another very pleasant occasion. My wife enjoyed the Ahi entrée and I the ribeye. She thoroughly enjoyed the grilled romaine lettuce salad. And for those who enjoy a good adult beverage try the Mayan Manhattan, which is quite tasty.
The occasion was my mom's 86th birthday, a nice quiet place to celebrate for lunch with 5 people. The table was nice, not particularly decorative, but they did allow me to bring in an arrangement of fresh flowers and a birthday dessert (see picture) to dress it up a bit for such an occasion. The food was good, although the portions very small. The waiter was very nice and attentive, but kept using his hands in his hair to push back his braids, that bothered me a bit. My mom was very happy with the lunch and loved being there, so that's all that really mattered to me!
Always a pleasure dining at "506" - the wait staff is always helpful and the meals memorably delicious.
Never fails to impress. Love this place. Especially nice for a girly get together at lu ch
We had lunch at The Sanford House for our wedding anniversary. The lunch menu was nicely varied, the prices realistic, and the service excellent. Nice and quiet, too.
Fantastic date night with a surgery meal. The overall ambience was very nice and the wait staff was attentive without intruding.
Out-of-town college friend visited and we needed a middle location to meet. Found on YELP. Requested outdoor, and they were able to accommodate. Lovely garden-like porch setting. Delicious, affordable. Surprising for Arlington.
By luck I found out about 506 on a Facebook group when I was looking for someplace local for brunch. I can't tell you how many times I've driven past it and never knew there was a restaurant inside the beautiful Sanford House. The wait staff are some of the best in the area and the food is always top notch. A true hidden gem in the heart of Arlington.
This restaurant is wonderful. It is inside a beautiful bed and breakfast in central Arlington, Texas. The ambiance and charm would be hard to match in all but a handful of places in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. We could actual have a conversation without being drowned out by music, banging of dishes and other distractions. Our waiter Jacob was excellent, very attentive but not hovering. The food was very good. The desserts was excellent. Their Chocolate Destruction is unbelievable.
We have eaten at much larger and fancier restaurants, with more expanded menus and wine lists, but it would be hard to meet the value and charm of the Restaurant506.
Well done. Do not change a thing!
We were greeted by a friendly face, who seated us right away. There were a variety of inviting menu choices. Although, I didn't notice many for vegetarians. I ordered the Texas Club which came with their famous homemade chips. And, my guest had the Nashville Chicken (mild). I will definitely return to try other dishes....and have some more of the chips!
Excellent food and service. Chad did a marvelous job.
Always love an evening at the Sanford House.....They serve a complimentary starter, and sorbet between courses.....very elegant dining. HIghly recommend them for any occasion.
Anniversary dinner. We’ve been to Restaurant 506 dozens of times and it never disappoints. Food was excellent. My wife had the red fish and I had a filet. Wine was also excellent. Demetrius is a wonderful waiter. We always ask for him. Thanks for a great evening.
Excellent drinks and meal!
Quiet, cozy and very romantic restaurant. Food is excellent... world class! Service is 5 star!
It was great!
We really enjoyed both the food and the ambiance . It was quiet so you could enjoy conversation with friends and the food was very good. Sea bass and lamb were excellent. Shrimp dish was bland, however.
17th-19th century Europe implantation into 21st century Arlington, TX. Some will appreciate; for us, it's just old, overpriced, over-hyped, and attempting to be quaint and nostalgic, not our cup 'o tea.
This restaurant is Ahh-mazing! I took my mom for an early Mother's Day brunch. We had never been before. We loved everything about it. We were sat at a cozy table overlooking the porch. Our server Rebecca was very courteous, prompt and very helpful. We will be back.
Sanford is a special place with many wonderful memories.
