Great food, great ambiance, great cocktails! My husband and I attended for brunch this past Sunday. The service was great and the decor was very elegant. I was delighted to find this hidden gem in Arlington. I think that the reason that it was not jam packed was because of the pricing of the cocktails. We ordered three at $14 each. Although they were great, I think that crowds are typically drawn to other places that offer $2 brunch cocktails.
Lotta older women frequent this bed and breakfast for lunch during the week. Good lunch with nice decor but rather noisy.
It was beautiful day. We started with cocktails on the porch then moved inside. I had a green salad followed by chicken and my wife had the beet salad and striped trout. Generous portion sizes, spot on presentation, and excellent flavor were hallmarks of the meal. Service was professional and attentive. Overall, we had a pleasant, relaxing meal that we both thoroughly enjoyed.
We love dining here, whether for brunch, lunch or dinner. We always have great food and good service. Our favorite Arlington restaurant!
Wonderful place for special occasions, though it can be a little noisy if it is a busy time of day.
Great service and food! Nice quaint place to have brunch!
Such a relaxing place on any occasion. Excellent service & delicious club! Thank you!
Always a joy to see how our friends who have never been here respond to their first visit. Our guests this time kept coming up with names of people that they planned to bring back with them.....This restaurant is truly a hidden gem....with a menu that changes so you can go again and again and not repeat what you order.
The restaurant itself was very nice with a comfortable atmosphere. The Service was very good. In my opinion, the Filet Mignon did not live up to the $42 price tag. It was more like a sirloin or ribeye. A little too tough for the price. Overall, not a bad restaurant.
Food was great! Excellent service! Highly recommend
Overall enjoyable. Food was excellent. Noise level too loud. People talking loud at table beside us.
When visiting Arlington I always make a point of eating at Restaurant506. Dining here is a high point of my trips due in no small part to the expert guidance from the staff on what to order. From steak to seafood to pasta, all have been fantastic. I travel quite a bit and Restaurant506 is easily in the top 10 restaurants nationally. Highly recommend.
Our lunch was very good and the waitress was very pleasant. The Margaritas there are wonderful. I was surprised at how few people were there but enjoyed not having a lot of noise. The background music was also pleasant.
Outstanding, romantic dinner with innovative dishes.
Romantic Valentine's dinner. Loved the recommended Franciscan cabernet, wild mushrooms and shrimp in the risotto dish, and the striped bass dish.
The experience was one that we look forward to repeating. I have an allergy to soy and our server, Mickey, went beyond my hope for avoiding soy. She worked with the kitchen to find where savoy might be in the food and then brought replacements when she could to accommodate my needs. From beginning to end the evening was romantic and special.
Sunday brunch was flawless in execution. Restaurant506 could compete with any major metropolitan city venue in food and service. Arlington is blessed to have this gem in our town.
I made a reservation for two guests for lunch. The service was great. We enjoyed our food and conversation.
Thank you for a lovely evening. We would recommend.
Three colleagues met for a business lunch where we needed a quiet space, nice size table, and near a plugin for a laptop. Restaurant506 staff greeted me and immediately knew who I was and showed me to our table, perfectly chosen by the staff for our needs. The server was extremely patient as we sat and talked a while before ordering. He was great and his name was Chad. I will definitely be back, even though I live in Rowlett. Thanks to all for a great experience!
Kobe hamburger was not the same.
Great staff and atmosphere!
Birthday! Food & service excellent! We are grateful for a restaurant that meets all needs.
Our waiter was wonderful & made sure all needs were met. Be back soon!
Birthday of friend
We arrived @ Restaurant506 for a weekday lunch reservation to celebrate my parents' anniversary & were delighted by the quiet attentive atmosphere! Wonderful food & beautiful decor - especially the dessert! Thanks 506 for helping to make our celebration extra special, Nick!
It was a lovely evening. Great food and time spent with friends. Will definitely plan another meal at The Sanford.
I always love coming here. Quiet enough for conversation, excellent service, lovely ambiance.
I was disappointed in the food, this time, for the first time ever. Too many sandwiches as a choice on the menu, vegetables too undercooked to eat. Just didn’t enjoy it he food
Lovely setting food and service!!
Amazing Sunday brunch
not noisy and excellent service as well as good food.
We had a group of 9 had our own area with long seating and was perfect! Food was excellent and so was the service. Staff very friendly.
Absolutely beautiful during the holidays......lovely ambiance.
Great 49th Anniversary celebration. Excellent food, nice table and outstanding service.
My girlfriend and I had our 4-month anniversary dinner at Restaurant506. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. The seating is in two separate areas, and they have seating for groups of 2 up to about 8-10. The service is very attentive and pleasant. The food was unique and interesting. I liked the lobster and mushroom risotto (but didn't love it). They have an extensive wine list and also some beer and cocktail choices. It's highly-recommended for a romantic evening meal in the heart of Arlington.
Normally an exceptional meal. However, today was disappointing. The server was unkempt and below par compared to prior visits.
The food was disappointing. Has the Executive Chef changed?
This is the second year that my family and I have had Christmas Brunch at the Sanford. It is always decorated so beautifully at this time of the year. We never had to ask to have our coffee heated up. Someone was always watching, it seemed, and came and filled our cups. The food was deliscious and everyone was completely satisfied.
This was an awesome little find. It’s an older historical space. It was a bit cold but the food and service was so incredible it didn’t even matter. Everything was perfection from start to finish. The drinks were spot on as well, the bartender did an incredible job crafting each individual drink. I also wish i could have taken a bucket of the sorbet home it was outrageous.
In my opinion the best restaurant in Arlington. It’s not up for a Michelin star or anything but still the best in between Dallas and Fort Worth. Would be good nicer option before a game at the stadiums. Nice space and friendly staff. Everything we had was good. The wine list is limited but the Barolo we had paired nicely with the prime rib.
We love Restaurant 506 and have visited many times especially at night, but I would have these comments for our visit on Friday, December 20, 2018: the food was good as delivered, but the menu for lunch during the holidays was very limited. We would have liked to have more of a dinner-type offerings during lunch as it was a special occasion and the holidays usually bring a special holiday menu. Most of the fare on the menu was simply typical lunch dishes (sandwiches and salads) - and not many of them. Equally, desserts were uninspiring. One other little mention... the table by the front door is cold every time someone comes into the restaurant. I would say that if you get stuck at this table, at least close one side of the glass doors in the entry to avoid some of the breeze. Otherwise, this is a very special venue and worth the drive to Arlington. The ambiance is quite lovely, the prices are reasonable, and it is one of the few restaurants where you can talk quietly.
We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary dinner here and had made a note of that fact on our reservation. The maitre d 'hotel wished us a happy anniversary, but that was all. No effort was made to be especially celebratory--after all, it was our golden anniversary, and we had chosen to celebrate it there. The wine selection was not great, but we settled on a wine that was new for us, and very good. I wanted a glass of bubbly to start off with, and the only champagne-like wine was a little too sweet. We had celebrated the 49th here also, and had had a lovely table in a brighter room. The ambiance is what brought us back. Our table this time was near the fireplace and a window, and it was nice, too, and cozy, though our photos were a little dark because the room was dark. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. We've celebrated our anniversary in some fine Fort Worth restaurants and enjoyed the food and service more for more or less the same price. I will say that the holiday decorations at the Sanford House were beautiful, the waiters were very polite, and the little extras were pleasant.
