It was a lovely evening. Great food and time spent with friends. Will definitely plan another meal at The Sanford.
I always love coming here. Quiet enough for conversation, excellent service, lovely ambiance.
I was disappointed in the food, this time, for the first time ever. Too many sandwiches as a choice on the menu, vegetables too undercooked to eat. Just didn’t enjoy it he food
Lovely setting food and service!!
Amazing Sunday brunch
not noisy and excellent service as well as good food.
We had a group of 9 had our own area with long seating and was perfect! Food was excellent and so was the service. Staff very friendly.
Absolutely beautiful during the holidays......lovely ambiance.
Great 49th Anniversary celebration. Excellent food, nice table and outstanding service.
My girlfriend and I had our 4-month anniversary dinner at Restaurant506. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. The seating is in two separate areas, and they have seating for groups of 2 up to about 8-10. The service is very attentive and pleasant. The food was unique and interesting. I liked the lobster and mushroom risotto (but didn't love it). They have an extensive wine list and also some beer and cocktail choices. It's highly-recommended for a romantic evening meal in the heart of Arlington.
Normally an exceptional meal. However, today was disappointing. The server was unkempt and below par compared to prior visits.
The food was disappointing. Has the Executive Chef changed?
This is the second year that my family and I have had Christmas Brunch at the Sanford. It is always decorated so beautifully at this time of the year. We never had to ask to have our coffee heated up. Someone was always watching, it seemed, and came and filled our cups. The food was deliscious and everyone was completely satisfied.
This was an awesome little find. It’s an older historical space. It was a bit cold but the food and service was so incredible it didn’t even matter. Everything was perfection from start to finish. The drinks were spot on as well, the bartender did an incredible job crafting each individual drink. I also wish i could have taken a bucket of the sorbet home it was outrageous.
In my opinion the best restaurant in Arlington. It’s not up for a Michelin star or anything but still the best in between Dallas and Fort Worth. Would be good nicer option before a game at the stadiums. Nice space and friendly staff. Everything we had was good. The wine list is limited but the Barolo we had paired nicely with the prime rib.
We love Restaurant 506 and have visited many times especially at night, but I would have these comments for our visit on Friday, December 20, 2018: the food was good as delivered, but the menu for lunch during the holidays was very limited. We would have liked to have more of a dinner-type offerings during lunch as it was a special occasion and the holidays usually bring a special holiday menu. Most of the fare on the menu was simply typical lunch dishes (sandwiches and salads) - and not many of them. Equally, desserts were uninspiring. One other little mention... the table by the front door is cold every time someone comes into the restaurant. I would say that if you get stuck at this table, at least close one side of the glass doors in the entry to avoid some of the breeze. Otherwise, this is a very special venue and worth the drive to Arlington. The ambiance is quite lovely, the prices are reasonable, and it is one of the few restaurants where you can talk quietly.
We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary dinner here and had made a note of that fact on our reservation. The maitre d 'hotel wished us a happy anniversary, but that was all. No effort was made to be especially celebratory--after all, it was our golden anniversary, and we had chosen to celebrate it there. The wine selection was not great, but we settled on a wine that was new for us, and very good. I wanted a glass of bubbly to start off with, and the only champagne-like wine was a little too sweet. We had celebrated the 49th here also, and had had a lovely table in a brighter room. The ambiance is what brought us back. Our table this time was near the fireplace and a window, and it was nice, too, and cozy, though our photos were a little dark because the room was dark. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. We've celebrated our anniversary in some fine Fort Worth restaurants and enjoyed the food and service more for more or less the same price. I will say that the holiday decorations at the Sanford House were beautiful, the waiters were very polite, and the little extras were pleasant.
Perfect table by a window as requested. Excellent cocktails, seared scallops were lovely as a starter. Lobster risotto was SO good. Pork chop a little disappointing, way too fatty. A problem waiting about 15 minutes for a glass of wine. Banana cake was spectacular with cognac. Overall a delightful evening, we will come back!
We love Sanford House for the unique, delicious dishes their chef creates.
The atmosphere is lovely....it’s unfortunate that they built the rooms entirely too small for the number of tables they need in each room. Conversations are heard from other tables and you bump into other people if you aren’t careful.
Our server, Mickey (I think that was her name), was the perfect picture of what every server should be. She knew the menu well, timing was perfect, and friendly while professional.
My husband had the beet salad along with the salmon. He talked all night about the flavors in the salad and the perfect balance of the dressing with the cheese. His salmon was fresh and perfectly cooked as he ordered it.
I was disappointed in my Rueben sandwich. The flavors were perfect without the typical overbearing kraut. The problem was there wasn’t enough filling and the bread overpowered the delicious filling!!! I won’t get this again.
The decorations for Christmas were lovely and not overdone but very festive. Thank you!!!!
Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Nice luncheon menu, food was delicious and very friendly staff. Will plan on many more meals there.
Awesome service and food - decorated beautifully for the holidays
We go to Restaurant506 once every year or so. This was our third dinner there. The menu has about 8 choices in each category (appetizers, entrees, desserts). All are quite innovative. We started with an excellent old-vine Zinfandel (Valravn) for me, and a great Cabernet blend (Falls Creek Meritus) for my wife. We both had appetizers. She had a house salad, I had roasted beets with chevre and pistachios. For main course, I had the prime rib special of the day which had a bacon-based sauce, and she had a tomahawk pork chop. It was all so interesting and so delicious!
I have already recommended restaurant506 to a couple of associates. I am confident we will eat there again the next time travel or business brings us to Arlington TX.
Great in all ways. Like that it's not a chain restaurant. It's the nicest restaurant in North Arlington.
Love this place. The decorations were beautiful. Food is always great.
Old beautiful house decorated beautifully for the holiday season. The waiter was attentive and made recommendations on the menu. The food was delicious and well priced. One of my favorite restaurants in Arlington.
This place was amazing!!! Very cute atmosphere during Christmas.
I almost never complain but I and my wife’s experience was poor. My pork chop was tough and had no flavor and the crabcake appetizer was “gamely”. The service and wine were acceptable
Always exceptional at this restaurant. A “hidden jewel” in Arlington. The inn is outstanding as well. 5 ⭐️
Always enjoy coming to the 506. Atmosphere is peaceful and upscale. i would like to see a change in
menu, adding more seafood choices and different lunch items. the best restaurant in arlington. Macs
is at the top also.
The food was cold,, I'll never go back
Excellent food and service. Very beautiful setting. Thanks
Awesome little cafe hidden away in a neighborhood near downtown Arlington. The Saturday brunch was fabulous! It is on the first floor of a bed and breakfast in a converted old house. The dining rooms are small, which gives a cozy feel, unless there is a loud party sharing the room with you, as was our experience. Other than the noise level, it was a delightful place to enjoy brunch.
Service was excellent. Atmosphere was delightful. The food was good but was not exquisite.
Me and my buddies have a quarterly meeting here for brunch and there is no better place to have it with great folks work there
We were not crazy about the menu selection. Some of our favorites from our previous visits were no longer available. Lobster risotto had a lot of lobster but either the mushrooms were not cooked enough or that type of mushrooms was just not very good. There were a ton of mushrooms. Salad had little or no dressing. Wine selection had also changed and not for the better. We were disappointed.
I met my parents there for Lunch after church. The service is wonderful and I love the atmosphere!
Great meal - as always.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxxx
We had a wonderful dinner.
Girlfriends and I had a delightful time together at this restaurant.
As always, the food was delicious and the service impeccable. This is one of my favorite places to have a quiet lunch with friends.
Dinner date for a birthday. Service was good and food was excellent.
