The Queen Anne Victorian at 210 Savannah Road in Lewes, DE has stood tall for over 100 years. Built in 1899, Captain W. “Diver” Johnston at the age of 52 collaborated with his business partner (William H. Virden) to build a beautiful new house for him and his wife, Isabella. Records indicate that he paid $400 for the entire lot, one of the most prominent sites in downtown Lewes.Over the next 100 years, the Victorian structure built in the style of Eastlake, an English architect, served as a home for many families, including longtime Lewes Mayor, Otis Smith.

The team at Raas is proud to continue the story of the Queen Anne Victorian. Each chapter of the building’s history has added to its charm and we at Raas are excited for its next chapter.

Amazong experience, well taken care of and the food was top notch. We have eaten here twice and extremely satisfied both times. The Garlic Naan so fresh!

Raas never disappoints. The chat was delicious. We had a scallop appetizer that was incredible The garlic naan was warm and crunchy and our meals and cocktails were perfection. We visit the area every summer and this was our third time eating at Raas. We will be back next year!

We were a party of 6 and 3 people got there before us and were seated. When we asked to be seated, the host said he didn’t have a reservation for us and that he would need to see my reservation. I showed it to him and we were permitted to join our friends but it was a bit of a fiasco.

We have been eating at RAAS since before the pandemic. They really weren't ready for us at the time of our reservation. After sitting a while we did get water and ordered a bottle of wine. Unfortunately the bottle we ordered seemed to be in the cellar and by the time it arrived and was uncorked tableside by the wine steward we had already finished our appetizer. I understand that staffing in the service industry is problematic now more than ever; but if you don't have staff to cover a table you shouldn't seat folks at that table. The bar tender shouldn't have to leave the bar to pour our water. Glad to report that despite the departure of Chef G.G. the food was, as usual, wonderful. In the past when a special event was noted in the online reservation it was acknowledged; but not this time unfortunately.

A half hour passed between the time we sat down and someone came by to get our drink order. The service was spotty, it seemed understaffed. Food was excellent and overall we enjoyed the webbing

The service is wonderful and the food was great and it has a nice intimate feel. I guess because it has a nice intimate feel. It’s a tad bit noisy because there’s plenty of room for all the seats. People are together in a small dining area. But it is really well appointed and everyone is friendly. Truly enjoyed the food and experience..

We got the whole fish Red Snapper, as usual, and it was excellent, as usual. Raas is our go to place when we want to celebrate an occasion.

The food is really good here! We had 2 appetizers and 3 entrees The last time I was there they had background music on which was really nice. If they did last night, you could just barely hear it and it would have been better for the overall ambiance. Main room tastefully decorated with a nice bar and high tops in an adjacent room. They have recently added lunch and the menu looked great, so I'd love to try that. This was my 3rd time to the restaurant and we have all always been very happy with our dinner. I must add that we are a picky group!
