Five Roses Pub
Saturday: 11am - 3:00am
The hostess was unfriendly, and it took forever to get service but the food was good.
Our party of 4 came here for a grown up night out and we chose the location because it was a great mid-way point for all of us.
The room was great, the food was good and the drinks were reasonably priced.
Our server, Nigel, really made the experience great. Good pacing, knew when to come around and shared in our laughter. He was a real credit to the pub.
I would definitely recommend 5 Roses for a good night out.
Food was great, was to loud for conversation
Staff and food was great only issue was I got a table close to the stage, the lighting was red and faced the table instead of the stage, so everything on my plate was red. Otherwise its a great place with good food, avoid the seats by the stage.
Lively place, music could be lower for conversation . Food choices good for casual dining., bangers and mash were very tasty. Best thing was our waiter, Ty. He was fabulous to our group of 8! Parking lot is a challenge, but free with validation. Would try again if in the area.
Our gals get together was terrific. In spite of being a little hard to get to, the restaurant itself is atmospheric, warm and the food is very good. We were seated a little out of the main stream of the restaurant - a good idea since girl groups tend to laugh and squeal a lot! High table with very comfortable booth seating on one side and comfy padded counter chairs with padded backs on the other. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable and made great suggestions. Many and varied Beer and wine choices with something that will please every palate. A wonderful fun occasion and we will be back!!!
I ordered a bowl of fruit to replace fries. The bowl came with canned pineapple slices, old strawberries, and ok cantaloupe. Really disappointed that they thought it was okay to serve canned food.
Food was OK. It wasn't great, or even good, but it was edible/fair. Service was absolutely horrible, and it wasn't even busy in the restaurant. There were maybe 3 or 4 other tables. Will not go back.
My burger was extremely bland. I had to salt it to eat it. Our waiter did not come back to our table for a long time after we got our food. I needed ketchup for my meal and had to wait several minutes before getting it. In general he did not give our table enough attention the entire time we were there.
Don't miss the bangers and mash. They were the best thing on the menu.
Get the pan-seared cod. Worth the trip. Great service in a great location.
We were at the comic con at the convention center and learned about discounts for the Five Roses. We went there each day and had our parking ticket validated - so there is a $15 discount right there. Our favorite dinner was the bangers and mashed. We should have had this each night, as it was awesome. We would have liked to see more dark beer choices, but did enjoy a stout and porter.
Great restaurant, awesome service, delicious food 🥘
i have eaten here twice and love the place. They play my kind of music. The food is so outstanding that I have trouble picking just one thing! I have had great attentive service also.
I was there with some friends celebrating 2 Birthdays. Our waiter Nigial was AMAZING!! He was quick , friendly and not to mention busy!! He has working to whole entire back half of the bar and he did it with looking stressed or overwhelmed. The are lucky have him ....I know we were 😁
We came for the Rockin in the Park concert. Got a perfect table on patio about 6:15pm. It started to rain a bit but not a problem for us! The staff pulled the awning over us, and we were fine. Once it stopped drizzling, they opened it back up to a clear sky where, we watched the fantastic firework show after an awesome concert (Silver Bullet Band-Segar cover ) Food and drinks were tasty but pricey. However, well worth it for a great night
Menu seemed different. Music was too loud and even quiet area had loud music. Ordered Fish and Chips. Fish was good but fries could have been crisper. Only one fish fillet for $18. Not worth the price, I thought.
Among the best options in the weirdly artificial Rosemont / Fashion Outlet "town square" near O'Hare Airport, right by the teeming Interstate. There's a good beer list and standard Irish specialties. Note that the brunch menu on the website is available only on Sundays.
Our service was pretty bad. Waiter was completely out of it, taking and bringing our drink orders one by one. One person in the group of 4 ordered flatbread as their meal but it came as an appetizer. Waiter said kitchen is working on bringing out the rest, which ended up taking 20 minutes. At that time someone else’s order was incorrect, so that took more time. The restaurant was quite empty at this time, so no good reason for delay. The wait staff were more interested in huddling around each other to talk than servicing their tables correctly. Food was just ok - nothing spectacular or worth the price. Fries were even burnt. Can’t say I’m planning to visit again.
Five Roses was a convenient place to meet relatives who were heading out of town the next day. The food was the usual pub food. Was happy to see several vegetarian options. The portobello sandwich was very garlicky and the sweet potato fries, mushy and really salty. My husband didn't love his fish & chips so I think the kitchen needs to work on its fryer skills. The service was friendly and fantastic.
My husband and I went in for a date night and we were not disappointed! Mickey was our server and she was so friendly and funny and checked on us to make sure we were always doing ok. The food was AMAZING and the live music was definitely a surprising plus! Can't wait to go back!
Enjoyed the food, but the music was way to loud that a conversation couldn’t be had
Great service and good happy hour specials.
Nice warm atmosphere inside and with the doors open to the outside it was really pleasant. We could see the planes landing at O'Hare but look the other way and you felt you were in a cozy Irish pub. Good service and food.
Took 30 minutes to get two sandwiches and then they were cold. Took a long time to get the check too. Sadly, we won't be back.
Outdoor area was so relaxing and enjoyable. Good and service we're great. Highly recommend.
We been to Five Roses in the past and it has been a good experience but after last night I don't think I will be back. We came in at 9:30pm after watching a movie and the place looked pretty empty, we were greeted by the security guard asking for IDs but no hostess. I ask if there was a hostess and he said that she would be right back. We waited for 5 minutes to be seated and no one came. We decided to leave and find another place to have dinner.
Great night out with friends. Good food, good beverages!
It was a touch loud with the live music, but we were put in back where it was quiet enough to have a conversation. The food as solid, and the back table was very kid friendly for our 18 month old. Thanks, we would go again
We both had fish and chips and agreed that the fish was some of the best we had ever had. Our server while pleasant, was MIA for most of our meal and we had to flag down other servers for additional cocktails and to get our bill. Nevertheless, I would try it again.
Dinner with friends; Five Roses has Great food, prompt service and live music!
We went to Five Roses for St. Patrick's Day. Disappointingly, by 7 pm they ran out of corned beef and cabbage, which is what my father-in-law had been planning to order. Fish tacos (mine) were mediocre. The Irish nachos and the fried calamari were very good. Will give them another try. Assume maybe things just got a little out of wack due to the big crowd (although that should have been expected on March 17th, at an Irish pub).
Was ok, but slowly service.
Food quality was a farce. Google Olde Blinde Dog Milton, Ga for how it should be. “Tenderloin tips” is false advertising. Sirloin is Sirloin. Tenderloin come from a completely different part of the cow. Wish I had ordered Bangers and Mash to see if Irish fare was acceptable. Salmon was cold and undercooked...really cold and undercooked!
Full of fun and people. Awesome service and thanks to open table we got in to eat in 5 minutes.
The food was terrific. I had the spring rolls (corned beef!) and chicken pot pie and both were good. Drinks were fine and the waitress was very friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and just hanging out to talk and we were given privacy and hours at the table with no feeling of being rushed. Now if only GPS could find it more easily ......
We were in the Rosemont area for a business retreat, we do this every year and always enjoy dinner at 5 Roses Pub. Nigel is a great waiter with a good sense of humor! The live music on Saturday night was awesome, so we give a special shout out to Johnny - what a great time!
Our food was excellent and our server was awesome! He was very attentive and gave great recommendations for menu choices.
Waitress was outstanding. Lights were really dark and annoying, changing color every few minutes.
The restaurant is fine if it's for clubbing. But it's 6:30 p.m. dinner it just was way too loud in the place. I was sitting exactly next to my companion and I could not hear a word she was saying. The food I ordered an appetizer of Irish nachos and while it did describe that it had peppers in it that were hot the peppers were excruciating Lee Hot even the liquid from the peppers on to the fries were almost edible
