The app forces me to give ratings. Open table allowed us to book a reservation for Tuesday night. When we arrived the doors were open and lights on but there was no one inside including employees. We found a hotel employee in the lobby of 1hotel who told us there is no dinner service on Tuesday. Open table please coordinate with the restaurant as this was very confusing and frustrating. We obviously don’t have any negatives about the restaurant as we never dined.

Habitat was one of the worst restaurants I've ever visited in Miami Beach. The overall service was terrible, from an inhospitable manager (Carlos) to a sarcastic waiter (Aleks) it was an awful time. They also charged us $30 for bringing an outside cake even though my sister in law has serious food allergies.

I have tried the Habitat with my family, and as a whole, we gave it mixed reviews. I think I have to go back, as it is worth it to go back, and give it a second try.

My husband and I had an exceptionally wonderful dinner at Habitat. The ambiance, service and food was amazing. Everything we tasted; shrimp and scallop dumplings (more like a ravioli shape), short ribs, crab croquetas etc were beyond delicious and well executed. There were also very healthy choices on the menu but we chose the high carb route that night. Usually one wouldn't feel that good the next day if you're not used to eating a lot of carbs but we both felt great. We sat on the banquette close to the entry on the window which was perfect seating for us as it was a quieter table. Our server (sorry forgot his name) from Latvia was super attentive and gave us the right amount of space for conversing with him and having our private conversations. He and his team poured our wine exactly when it was time to pour. We look forward to returning soon!

Nice atmosphere with the exception of the two brat young kids (4 & 7) with parents sitting next to us, the kids were making lots of noise, we had a 6pm reservation which was timely, ordered 2 main dishes... Snapper and other was scallops. Bother were excellent but took almost an hour before the main course came out. I asked several times why the delay but no explanation was provided. Prior to the food we had to move our table as both of us had a horrible headache from the adjacent table. Not what I would have expected as they call themselves a 5 star restaurant. Bill was approx. $200. Wouldn't rush back. Also, Habitat is part of Miami Spice but when I asked after seated, they said otherwise. Was disappointed of the false advertising.

The servers are complete idiots. I ate there 3 days for breakfast as I was staying in the adjoining hotel and every time they managed to screw up my order. They do not check in with the kitchen so the food arrives cold and then they also overcharged me. The decor is nice but the food and service are sadly typical miami poor standards.

The service was terrible!! We waited 20 minutes to have our drink orders taken and once we ordered our food it took another 45 minutes! The waiter was no where to be found and we had to ask another waiter if our food was on its way. They brought everyones food, except mine was accidentally given to the table next to us... but when they said they didn't order it, they said it was on the house for them having to wait so long!! We got no apology and I had to wait even longer for mine. One of us ordered the Caesar salad... but it was basically just lettuce!! Barely any dressing and there was no cheese on it. One positive note... the Miami cheesesteak was really good.

The menu on the Miami spice website in completely different for lunch. Very disappointing, our waiter was with tired o in need of more training, we had to order wine multiple times and each time he was bringing the wrong bottle of wine. I was drinking beer and I had to order my beer more than three times. The place is amazing super clean and very nice. I will give them another try.

Chef Mendin is one of the greatest gifts the culinary scene in Miami has ever been offered. The Miami Spice offering has great variety and reflects why he has gained so many accolades over the years. Habitat is a beautiful space and service is warm and authentic.

Habitat accepts reservations for 4pm on open table, but apparently the kitchen is closed at 4pm. We were called an hour prior to the 4pm reservation we had made a month in advance to celebrate my goddaughter’s first performance with the Miami City Ballet and asked to come early. We arrived 20 minutes early and were told to order immediately, which we did. Food arrived in random intervals, dessert never came, $18 Bloody Mary was vodka & plain tomato juice with no ice. Waitstaff was struggling. Bartender chewed my friend out about disgusting Bloody Mary and said he had no mix (as if that is my problem and why doesn’t a 5 star hotel have Bloody Mary mix???) and then refused to take he nasty mess off of our bill. Dessert we ordered never arrived, which prompted the jerk of a manager to get in my face and tell me that we came after they closed and we were lucky to get any food at all. 1Hotel is amazing, with amazing service. Habitat ruined the entire, very expensive, experience. There is no excuse for a restaurant to take a reservation after closing hours and then attempt to shift blame to the guest. There is no redemption for a restaurant with an accusatory, rude manager. $250 for 4 alcoholic beverages, 2 sandwiches and 3 bacon wrapped dates.
