Alexander's Craft Cocktails and Kitchen was named after the distillery located on the grounds from 1861-1865, which washed away in a flood (historic marker located between the restaurant & The Manor).

The newly renovated main bar is located on 1st floor, and opens onto expansive wrap-around, creekside porches. Just a few steps down from the porches is an open deck situated beneath gracious Live Oak canopies.

The warm aubergine & copper walls of the third floor lounge contrast the amazing art representation from local galleries. The stunning view of Salado Creek as well as the grounds of the neighboring estate provide the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite beverage. Patrons choose from a variety of entree selections, appetizers, and adult beverages.

We made a reservation at Alexanders for our wedding Anniversary and everything was wonderful especially the wait staff. Thank you for making our evening so special. Will definitely be back again

730 reservation. Waited 10 minutes at host stand without anyone saying hello. Seated. Nice seat. 10 more minutes before a glass of water. No wine list. No cocktail menu. Just three dinner menus unceremoniously tossed in faces. (Wife’s birthday). Pork chop was severely overcooked. Lamb chops (sirloin) were unseasoned. The filet was great. Sides were poor. Jalapeño cream corn was slop. Cabbage was wilted and overcooked. I can go on and on but for the price…go anywhere but here.

We all enjoyed the pork chop special and the tiramisu for dessert was the perfect size. The salad was interesting. Not everyone’s favorite, but not bad.

First of all, the food is always above average at Alexander’s. My husband and I love eating there early, and our favorite dish has always been the Kung Pao Cauliflower. In fact, we were on our way back home to Salado when I suggested we go to Alexander’s and have some of the cauliflower. We ordered several appetizers but noticed a steep prize increase. The Chef’s Board is way overpriced for what you get. The baked brie was supposed to have a topping with strawberries, but the chef didn’t receive good strawberries so substituted something else which was just ok. The crispy brussel sprouts were very good as usual. But the new “beef tallow” cauliflower that replaced the Kung Pao cauliflower was a step down and very disappointing. I hope the chef reconsiders and puts the Kung Pao back on the menu. Our server, Mark, was very cheerful and attentive.

We sat outside on the porch. Good thing the weather was lovely because the reservation was made for indoors. I'm so happy we were outside! Excellent place for a special occasion - Mother's Day was wonderful. Prefixe menu choice of soup or salad, three choices for main entree, two choices for dessert. ALL were exceptional. Our waitress was attentive and personable. Truly an enjoyable time! Thank you

Food was great as usual!! We eat here every time we come to Salado and the food never disappoints! The Kung Pao Cauliflower is amazing!

We came to enjoy the special brunch today. The food was great, and the mimosas were delicious. We really enjoyed sitting outside after brunch enjoying a good cocktail while listening to the music of Mike Hamilton. We enjoyed having the opportunity of visiting with Neil Dunch and his family after brunch too. All in all a wonderful Sunday.

Went for brunch for a friend's birthday was not what we expected from 2 years ago. Way over priced and the menu was so limited it wasn't appetizing. Drinks were good but for almost $250 for brunch I would have rather gone else where
