The 50+page wine list was a bit overwhelming- but definitely something for anyone’s taste and budget
Wonderful evening. The staff is helpful and attentive, and make guests feel comfortable. The food was delicious—I loved the gluten free pasta options. (Once I indicated I preferred gluten free, the staff brought gluten free bread to the table unsolicited.) and beautifully presented. An all around enjoyable meal.
One of the best Italian restaurants we’ve been to in years. Pasta perfect; almost melts in your mouth! Fish, lamb, desserts were great too. Can’t wait to go back!
We had a wonderful experience Highly recommend
This is my #1 choice when in Manhattan. I’ve eaten there numerous times and always top notch!
Thanks Lidia and Staff
This place was awesome. We felt so bad about eating so quickly because we had to make a show. The service was excellent. The pasta was absolutely amazing. We will go back in a heartbeat.
Best meal in my life. Truffles were in season, we had them on 2 courses. Was Very expensive but worth every penny!
Great Italian food in a nice ambiance with authentic Italian specialties not easy to find anyplace else.
Get together with family.
DINNER, NOVEMBER 8, FELIDIA
⭐️⭐️ 2 stars
1. Lovely dining room. Small tables very close together, difficult to maneuver. However, we were an early reservation so the dining room was empty. We got to our table, in the back of the restaurant at the kitchen having passed 12 empty tables. Why?
2. Staff very warm, very attentive, very personable.
3. Food was of the Italian Minimalist nature. Small portions and underwhelming flavor. In Felidia’ s case, you DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
All of our expectations were extremely high. Collectively, we were all disappointed.
* Shishito Pepper Salad was ok.
* Scallop and caviar (?) special was boring looking on the plate. Zero eye appeal. And the caviar was hard to find on the plate.
* Grilled Octopus was good. Tender, not rubbery.
* White Truffle Risotto we shared. Shaved white truffle on top. Excellent. But, at $103.00, some extra rice would have been nice.
* Quail Special, good lovely plating, but not hot.
* Veal Medallions were without any seasoning and the plating presentation was not good.
* Veal Milanese was undercooked; tasteless, greasy, and beige. Ate three bites. After seeing that I didn’t touch this entree, the server inquired if I was full, I said no, it was not good. So it just sat in front of me. I wasn’t offered a different entree and wasn’t take off the bill.
DESSERTS: Fine, just fine. Regrettably, nothing to comment about.
SUGGESTION: Lidia might consider going into Felicia’s Kitchen and expedite the food leaving the kitchen making sure each plate is DELISH and PERFECT. Or better yet, maybe it is time Lidia put her Chef Hat on and get and return to the kitchen and start cooking again.
This was our SPECIAL DINNER while visiting NYC, not even close. If the food measured up to the warmth of the staff, this would have been a different review.
We wanted to be WOWED by Felida’s and that did not happen at many levels, especially the food, UNDER WOWED.
Incredible! The food, the service, the wine, all perfect. The staff was very friendly, the sommelier helped me navigate the extensive wine list and found something perfect to enjoy. Highly recommended.
Excellent service and attention to detail. We went for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed every course.
Menu is limited and portion sizes are quite small for the price. Service good and ambiance is nice, but overall, a bit too pretentious for my “taste.”
Delicious, special dinner!
I was pleased with the food.
The four of us found the menu somewhat confusing as we did not know that everyone at the table had to order the special dinner and only two of us wanted it,
The prices were very high and most likely I will not return
Very irritated manager bacause we came 10 minutes later.
Awful service, very arrogant if you don’t order wine and most expensive dishes.
Small portions, highly prices.
One of the most incredible meals I have ever had. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular... it was everything you dream of in a special restaurant.
Comfortable atmosphere surrounded by attentive staff. The food was unbelievable, the best Branzino, Veal Milanese we have had anywhere in NYC. On our top 5 list of places to eat.
I met with two cousins and we had a relaxed lunch and sat for hrs., undisturbed, on a Friday, to chat. The staff was very accommodating, the restaurant ambiance pleasant and the food was marvelous. We will definitely return.
Service was poor, very long waiting times and once we got the food our orders had been mixed up. When pointed out to the waiter that this was not on the expected level, he started to argue with us “that we were probably not familiar with how it works in NYC”... Well, having tried a fair share of *-restaurants all over the globe, there is definitely some space for improvements here.
I love Lidia! I especially respect her roots, her talent, and her live if family!
Excellent quality and taste most definitely will recommend tgis wonderful restaurant
Loved our server!! We eat at Felidia each time we’re in NYC and have had the same waiter who is fantastic!
Wonderful as usual! A great place for lunch or dinner.
What a wonderful time at Felidia! The food is unbelievably delicious. Our server Johnny R was very attentive and friendly. When I told him I was gluten free, he knew exactly how to handle it. Everything was expertly prepared and beautifully plated. We were celebrating our anniversary and my daughters engagement. The attention to detail is amazing. We will be back for sure. It was my daughters first time there and her and her fiancé enjoyed every minute. Felidia is the best.
Nearly 7 years ago, a friend and I discovered Felidia on a business trip to NY. It instantly became our favorite restaurant. The pear and pecorino ravioli and the pâté seduced us. My friend declared their Manhattan to be the best she's ever had. Since then, my friend identified a pretty serious gluten allergy and our trips to NY decreased. This weekend, however, we were back in town. We were excited to discover that Felidia had some gluten free options for us and booked a reservation. It is impossible to express what a triumph our dining experience was on Saturday night. Not only did we discover that the gf accommodations were above and beyond anything we could have expected -- we did not have to compromise a single dish -- ordered our pâté and raviolis and they were even better than we remembered. Additionally, the gf bread was by far the best we've ever had. The entire meal was incredible and the service was better than any we've received in any other restaurant. Staff ensured us of the safety of the food for my friend; our glasses were never empty. The love of food was obvious and every interaction only seemed to elevate every moment of our experience. We sat at the bar for our meal. To have that kind of service at a bar is even more surprising. Felidia, you are still the best.
Enjoyable evening with delicious food and ambiance!!
We will be back!!
I ordered bottled water, and i got a refilled bottle. They even put flat water in a sparkling water bottle.
In general it is worthwhile but not great and overpriced for the food
Food was very disappointing. Meal was over salted and dried out. Staff do not know the difference between chicken and quail. Over all a very disappointing meal.
We went to Felidia's for the first time after hearing many good reviews from others and we were not disappointed. The $45 Before and After menu was an excellent value and I highly recommend the veal and the pasta dishes. My scallops were quite delicious as well. We loved the desserts and the extra treats the waiter gave us. They also have a special Italian Dinner that we may try the next time, but the a la carte dishes also looked tempting. It was an altogether delightful repast and I highly recommend Felidia's to anyone looking for creative pasta and meat dishes served by a professional staff.
I live in the neighborhood and it is always my choice for a special occasion. They never fail to serve a fabulous meal. I could eat there every night and lunch too1
Amazing Food. Spot on flavors and taste. Well presented with imagination. I would return
We have been here before we know it's expensive and our past experiences have been terrific.
This experience was very poor. My wife's entrée was terrible after a couple of tastes she decided it was not worth eating not that it was bad but because it it was poorly executed-no flavor, dry and inconsistent with the description provided by the captain. The waiter asked if there was something wrong she said yes it's not very good it's dry lacks flavor and is not up to what she expected from the special entrée of the evening-something the chef is proud of.
He pass this on to the captain and he apologized and that was it. No offer of a replacement entrée to satisfy or a credit.
We were very surprised at this because when we dine in a restaurant of this caliber we expect the service to be incredible and the pride of the menu execution to be equally incredible.
This was not the case and we will not return-not worth the effort>
I was taken here for my birthday this year. I love the food, I love the place. This time, the service was a little too interventionist: people kept coming by to refill water glasses that did not require refilling; we were asked a dozen different times by several people how our food/experience was; and etc. Maybe some diners enjoy the constant interruptions; I don't and nor did my friend dining with me. We would have preferred something less obtrusive.
However, the food is magnificent; presentation is wonderful; the atmosphere is adult and calm; and a birthday plate of cookies appeared at the end of the evening, providing a special occasion conclusion to a beautiful dinner.
Great service! Food was really good!! Mature D really nice.
Always a pleasure. And -a big plus - always great recommendations from the somm! (Erica)
Everything was outstanding! Be sure to tell them, if stairs are a problem, so you can be seated downstairs. Our drinks were mixed to perfection and served in lovely crystal glasses. We were a party of six and shared two appetizers- tuna tartare and pear and pecorino ravioli. We all ordered different main courses and tasted around. As foodies, we had only accolades for each dish. We shared desserts. They validate parking at the icon lot at 2nd Ave, but not at the one between 2nd and 3rd. The subway is a short walk away. I highly recommend Felifia. While a bit pricey, it is well worth it.
Been here numerous times - was disappointed this time in menu and serviced
Poor wine service after spending $300 on a bottle of wine and list is limited and with high, 5 time mark up, wine prices. Food is inconsistent but overall very good.
