Being from NY and having the privledge to dine at some of the finest restaurants in the world, this restaurant is one of my top 3. I make it a priority to dine at 1919 every time I am in PR. I would highly recommend the chefs tasting menu. My only disappointment is having to leave.
We had a fabulous time. The food was unique and delicious, and the staff was attentive without being annoying. Wish we could go back all the time!
Surprised - no Michelin stars? They do deserve it,at least one.
Best luxury Manhattan like place in Puerto Rico.Go there twice a year at least,it's only getting better.
One of the best restaurants in San Juan. Very formal.
Staff was very hospitable and the food was outstanding!
We arrived at 7pm for our 7:15pm reservation. Champagne was served in the lounge area outside the restaurant where we waited until 8pm to be escorted to our table. The initial drink and food service was a bit slow, and as the night progressed the timing was never spectacular. All courses were finally served a little after 11pm. The water glasses at our table sat empty for 30 minutes before someone noticed. The servers were cordial when they came to the table, however they appeared to be short staffed. Sadly the food was under whelming. After hearing great thing about 1919, this was a very disappointing experience.
We loved it. Tasting menu with wine pairing. Glad we don't have to drive.
great..the best ..best food anda service in the island
$40 for half a piece of cauliflower. This pretty much summarizes my experience at this restaurant.
The food was good but not amazing. The prices were crazy. They charged $15 for a side of 2oz of macaroni for a 2 year old. We spent over $175 for a meal which was fine but nothing special and took over 90m to serve. We left hungry.
If they would lower the prices and speed up the service they would have made a lot more money from us as we would have come back every day of our vacation.
The service, food, and ambiance eere great. Definately coming back
Food was delicious and the service was superb. Would certainly return!
Stated at the Condado Vanderbilt for our honeymoon. The 1919 restaurant was amazing! Quiet atmosphere for romantic dinner or intimate dinner with friends. Service was impeccable. Dinner was out of this world. Portion sizes were well fitting. We did the wine pairing and we had wine glasses still full at the end of our meal. Left with a little gift to say congratulations! William and Jeffery took care of us and they did a wonderful job!!
Outstanding. One of the best meals I’ve had- ever and comparable to some of the best restaurants in the country in Yountville, Napa and NY. Food was outstanding, service was impeccable - highly polished and professional. Compliments to the chef and all the staff. I can’t wait to return!
Everything was outstanding !! The Service , the food, the ambiance was superb !! I would totally recommend this gem !!
The best service Enrique wase the best host all at perfection
Fabulous food and fantastic service. The entire experience was excellent. The perfect ending to our stay at the Condado Vanderbilt
This was a truly memorable meal experience with top notch service and refined food. Highly recommended
Absolutely amazing dining experience. Will definitely come back!
La pasamos excelente. La atención de Enrique fue extraordinaria y nos gustó mucho su explicación para cada curso lo que nos ayudó a degustar cada uno de ellos al máximo.
Excellent for any occasion. I'm doing the wine pairing with my daughter and was excellent. Great information about all the wines that we taste and the food, oh my God!!
Thanks for making the birthday celebration of my daughter something that she going to remember for a long time.
Beyond my expectations. I love the banana nut bread on my way out. Perfect touch.
Overall, great experience and a phenomenal service. Must visit if you are within the area.
Delicious food, and very nice atmosphere, and a very professional restaurant. Excellent service and great menu selection. I enjoyed the food it was very tasty!
Super elegant, premium experience. Terrific food. And, on the way out, they gave me a homemade banana nut bread, which was perfect, because I had an early flight the next morning, before my hotel's breakfast was being served. Definitely a place for a special occasion.
Food was phenomenal and the service superb
Phenomenal meal. Our server, Enrique, was amazing. Pricey, but worth it.
Service was subpar. Late on every wine pairing with very little thought as to what to pair. One course was inedible because of too much salt. Seared tuna was over cooked and mussels accompanying were bad. Overall for a $400 dining experience a lot was missing. Hopefully we just got lost in the busy night and this isn’t a true representation of 1919.
Elegant, superb food and great service. I had the grain salad which was deliciously unexpected. The meat was tender and perfectly medium rare. Be sure to try the “ churros potatoes “....
Elegant and relaxing. We were in San a juan for a conference at another hotel The Vanderbilt was a peaceful oasis after the noise of the convention. The food was superb. We had the three course dinner which was also a great value. The service from all the staff was perfect. Attentive but not intrusive. We loved the ambiance which was elegant and luxurious. The view was also incredible. I am a Puerto Rico resident and this is now one of my favorite restaurants in San Juan.
Excellent!! Chef table menu was amazing!
The food and service were absolutely amazing. This restaurant is highly recommended. They truly use farm fresh island products.
Elegant ambiance with superb tasting dinner.
We were celebrating our anniversary looking for a pleasant experience and... perfection! Thank you Chef Cuevas for coming to greet us at our table.
This is an extraordinary restaurant. The food is exquisite, the service is excellent and the ambiance is very nice. It is VERY expensive but if you can afford it you should not miss it. It includes valet parking.
The best restaurant I ever been to. This restaurant is a most. My girlfriend and I were there for her birthday and they more than GREAT.
Great menu tasting. Completely new. Exquisite tomatoes sorbet. Exceeding our expectations.
Excellent food and excellent service. Wine by the glass is too expensive, though.
Way too over priced for the quality and portion of food. Waiter was condescending when we asked for a different wine and felt the need to emphasis the price before serving it to us. Won’t recommend this place to friends and family even if they’re staying at the Vanderbuilt. If you want better food and more for your money go upstairs to OLA.
The food was bland. The price did not match the food quality.
Food has always been amazing and service keeps getting better and better. Keep the good work Ivan!!
Me and my husband went for date night and we felt so pampered and well taken care of. Each course was delicious and creatively presented. Its worth it!
