We were able to get a reservation the same day. The food was excellent. The service was excellent from start to finish on all levels. The portions were generous and appetizers are definitely shareable. Very happy with our night there.

Our table for two had a 7:30 Saturday night seating and we were seated in the upstairs back near two other two tops. Our server took a long time to greet us, he was very rushed, clearly did not appreciate taking the time to describe how a couple of items were prepared when questioned, and did not come back once our steaks were served to ask if our steaks were enjoyable. The two tops on either side of us had considerably more attentive service and attention. The food was beautifully and perfectly prepared but leaving three stars for the service is generous. Our server should have a tutorial at Kellari where fine dining service is meticulously spectacular.

great food and ambience, excellent service. steaks were cooked as ordered and not undercooked as many steakhouses do. one small gripe would be around the wine selection - ordered one bottle on the list and was given a substitute at the same price - understand that the restaurants may sell out of bottles, but this is now the second time I've experienced this issue at strip house. perhaps management wants to update their wine menu.

Wanted to take my son for a NY Steakhouse Steak and this restaurant was recommended to us. It was phenomenal! We were surrounded by tables drinking pricey bottles of wine, while we stuck with water, and we received the same exact level of service. Started with six incredibly fresh oysters, then both had the 16 oz NY strip with a baked potato. Steak had a fantastically flavored hard sear and was cooked perfectly. The baked potatoes were enormous, with all the accoutrements you could ever want served on the side. We wrapped up by sharing a piece of cheesecake, which was amazing, had a perfectly brûléed top and a perfect amount of fresh berries on the plate. This was a bit of a splurge meal for us and it was totally worth it - our experience from beginning to end was absolute perfection.

This place is amazing. The ambiance is cozy and sexy, the food is delicious…everything from the appetizer to dessert was spectacular. Probably the best steakhouse we’ve been to. Our waiter was really nice and helpful - service was top notch. Will be back when in NY!

The Strip House is one of the top steakhouses in NYC. We went on Valentine's Day and surprisingly it was not too crowded and the food was good. The bone-in rib eye was perfectly cooked along with the NY Strip. Prices are commensurate with fine dining restaurant

I’ve been to the Greenwich village location about 5 times and it’s always been stellar. The only reason I chose this one was because it was near a show we were going to. Let me tell you: night and day. We arrived at 6:20. Our food did not come until 7:30, despite our waiter saying it was on its way for over 30 minutes. He also forgot the sauce I ordered. I got it eventually, but we were super rushed. He gave us a free glass of wine, which was nice, but because we were rushed I asked to have the remainder of my meal boxed, since we would be late. That was a mistake. Not only did it take 15 minutes for that, but I just got home and realized they scraped all of the sauce I poured onto the steak off, which leads me to believe they might have either spit on it or dropped it on the floor. I wouldn’t put it past them. I even tipped 25% on our $250 bill, but that was dumb in retrospect. Don’t go to this location. Go to the one in the Village. This one is garbage.

I brought an older gentleman friend who isn’t always tolerant of not getting exactly what he wanted and tonight he was particularly intolerant and gave our waiter a very hard time. The waiter was perfectly poised and professional. If you’re nice to your waiter you’ll have an excellent experience

Service was top-notch. The food is unique and elevated: steaks have a black pepper crust, the Creamed Spinach had black truffles, and the gratin potatoes were twice cooked. Pictured is a slice of 24 layer Chocolate Cake! Decor is beautiful. This is definitely a place to be on your list to visit!

The minute you walk in your transported to another time, it’s so classic and elegant inside. We were seated promptly and our server was wonderful. We started with fresh oysters and they were delicious, I especially loved the sauce pairings. My husband and I each had a NY strip and shared the twice baked potato, absolute perfection. We finished off with cappuccino and the chocolate cake, so so good! Highly recommend.

Cozy, authentic steakhouse with beautiful food and good portion sizes. We actually had Gallaghers booked but had to cancel. This place in my opinion was better and we will definitely return. Fillet mignon cooked to perfection, fresh shrimp and the best cheesecake I ever had. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. I’m from the U.K. so wasn’t great at portion sizing. He stopped me from ordering the world and suggested one or two sides which was decent of him. Great place.

Arrived very early for reservation so we went to the bar. Jonathan the bartender was welcoming and we decided to just eat at the bar. A couple came in with the same situation and ended up eating with us at the bar. Very fun night. Food & service was fantastic.

Surprisingly good….as anyone who has read any of my reviews, I am tough and not generous at all. I LOVED the char on the steak! Delicious! I eat steak all over NY and everywhere I go. I have eaten at every high end steakhouse in the city and this was top drawer grub! Sides were fine, but the steak was excellent! Enjoy!
