   We arrived for my daughters birthday. She chose the restaurant after loving it this past summer. We had a cake as well. We showed up to an empty, closed restaurant with a sign on the door that they were renovating. My daughter had a complete breakdown and cried. Guests were there and there was no place to eat or celebrate the birthday. Shame on Open Table for not knowing about this and letting us know that the restaurant was closed. We received a notification about our reservation and a notification that we received points. What a joke. So embarrassing. This should never happen with an open table restaurant.

   I wanted to make a reservation to this restaurant for New Year's eve so I called them and a voice mail re directed me to Open Table. I got a table and when I got there, the restaurant was closed for renovation !!!!

   The restaurant was closed for repairs. We have no idea why OpenTable allows us or others to book reservations at a restaurant that isn’t even open. It completely messed up our plans for the night.

    Don’t book here! It’s closed. My friend and I went here one night only to find out it was completely closed. I don’t know why it is still listed in Open Table.

    It was closed. My date and I showed up to the restaurant and it was closed with a “for lease” sign plastered on the window. I’m sure I’ll recover from that embarrassment eventually.

    I made this reservation a month before the event. When my friends arrived for the birthday festivities to begin, the restaurant was closed! A very disappointing experience. I am so glad someone in my party new of another great spot near-by. Advice: Inform customers who plan ahead when you plan to be closed for "renovations".

    We got there for our reservation and found it CLOSED! OUT OF BUSINESS! How in the world does OpenTable confirm a reservation at a restaurant that DOESN’T EXIST??? I’ve had very few problems with Open Table through the years, but now HOW DO I TRUST YOU? FYI, Yelp knew it was closed. Why didn’t Open Table?? Deeply Disappointed

    We had a wonderful meal in Barraca - our last night of our holiday in New York. We are frequent visitors to Spain, and are lucky to have a number of excellent tapas restaurants near where we live in London. Barraca’s tapas were OUTSTANDING - some of the best I have ever had. The restaurant has excellent ambiance and is well worth a visit and frankly not to be missed.

    The service here was not the best - servers were not attentive and awkward. Had to ask four times for salt and hot sauce. They were quick to rush us out of the restaurant, although not accommodating to splitting the bill. The temperature in the restaurant was also very off. It was constantly either very hot or very cold.

    Although staff was helpful in changing our seats, options for quiet conversation are few. Menu is somewhat limited based on our experience of tapas restaurants and the quality is uneven. Seasoning and ingredient combinations often seemed to be conflicting and harsh. We have also had paella on a previous visit and it just doesn’t meet a standard beyond average so the price is not worth it to us. We won’t visit again. Sorry.

    Barraca shares a kitchen with Macondo, and seemingly table space as well. We arrived before our reservation on a busy Friday night, so while I was glad to be seated promptly, I didn't realize at first that we had been brought through to the other restaurant, until we were brought Macondo menus. After some initial confusion, they did bring us the Barraca menu, and we were able to order from that. The food was very good, especially the mussels, the sangria was delicious and our server was personable. But the music was unbearably loud, the table was sticky and gross, and the chairs were extremely uncomfortable. We might go back to see what it's like to actually eat at Barraca, but we're in no rush.

    The food tasted awful. The cold meats were very vinegary, the octopus came out luke warm, too much mayo/aioli on the tortilla. Its a lively place and a great location but the food was just reLly bad the night we went

    Food was great but service was horrible. Took over an hour to receive a dish, even after prompting the waiter and front desk staff. They did give us the item for free and a round of drinks but will not return. Ruined the evening.

    had a fantastic time at Barraca - great ambiance and delicious food. now i also know they do private events and can handle big tables so that's great to know for future parties! one downside - only one restroom was available (the other one was out of service), and the lock did not work. hopefully they will fix the lock issue.

    I've been to Barraca several times and this was by far the worst experience ever, I've been primarily for brunch in the past and the service was always lacking, but I excused it because it's a busy bottomless brunch. My recent visit was for dinner and the service was horrible - had to share a menu with my boyfriend, missing food items, waiter was not attentive and disappeared for a long time, overall not a great experience and it tainted the taste of the food because we were put off before we got our meal.
