The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant. Everything was well seasoned, and the Elvis Presley Sundae was a perfect end to our meal. There were a couple of slight errors in the food order, but the staff was quick to apologize and correct the mistakes.

Takorea is an eclectic blend of Mexican and Korean cooking styles that provides a fun and healthy way to enjoy both. A broad menu, with a lot of flexibility to mix ingredients and an ample bar list. Highly recommend getting a "Build A Bop" and trying the Tempura Sweet Potatoes as an appetizer. Ask for Chris as your waiter - he was outstanding!

This was a mix between horrible and rude service to cold and not fresh food. Our server came up to my girlfriend and I and asked “What do we want to eat” then didn’t speak another word the rest of the time. After waiting a long time to get our food it was cold, chewy, and the lettuce was somewhat spoiled. Before we even were half way done with our meal our server put the bill on our table without a word. Summary: horrible service and horrible food. Way better places to eat in Midtown. Don’t waste your money here!

Great variety with a Korean flare. The apps (sprouts and sweet potatoes) were each great and had wonderful sauces accompanying them. We split a Bop and some tacos and it was way too much food. Right amount of spice. Service was good and fit the place well. Nice bar and draft selection to fit multiple tastes.

Travis, our server was fantastic. Attentive, respectful. Offered suggestions. Really made it a very pleasant night out. Food, as always was tasty. Served at the appropriate temperatures. Drinks were delicious and on National Margarita Day, a little cheaper than normal. Thanks! We’ll be back.

So we first chose this restaurant because our usual pre-show restaurant Gordon Biersch closed down, and everywhere else within easy walking distance of the Fox Theatre had no reservations available- this is what happens when you're going to a show the weekend before Valentine's day, and wait til the last minute to make a reservation! But I'm so very happy it happened, because Takorea is delightful. The space, looking like a glorified old garage, is fun and friendly. The waitress hit just the right balance of friendly and helpful. Most important, the food was delicious! Our party had the fries for an appetizer- delicious, just different enough. For our entrees we had ssam and the original bop- I recommend the original, it was FAR more food at far lower price, and tasted amazing. I think this is our new regular pre-show meal! The Travel Channel was filming a segment while we were here, so we're looking forward to possibly seeing ourselves in the background on tv soon. Hopefully that will help spark more interest, being a block off Peachtree away from the main flow of traffic, this restaurant had lots of open tables (we were eating at an odd time, 3pm.) I want them to stay in business forever because it was delicious and I can't find food like this elsewhere!

Food was good, not outstanding, but a solid 4 stars. The place is in need of a deep cleaning: the floor on the bathroom was sticky and a heavy smell of old grease hang around the table...the unpleasant surprise was the service: the waiter seemed to be rather annoyed of serving, the orders were not taken appropriately , no silverware was brought in and so on...also, the cheap plastic glasses and plates were less than bare bones cheap.

I would have rated TaKorea a little higher except for the fact that I have eaten at Hankook Taqueria, a sister restaurant, many times and the food there has always been outstanding. In fact, it is my favorite place to eat lunch. TaKorea has a similar menu but neither my usual shrimp and calamari tacos or fried dumplings were as good as Hancooks. Same feelings from two of the others in our party of 6 that have been to both restaurants.

As an employees mom , As always the food was good and ambiance was amazing but There was no host at the door or manager to properly greet us or seat us right away, I do feel the manager on duty could of been a little more pleasant and inviting he seem rather aggravated upset and unpleasant the server was great but made a couple of mistakes on bringing the right food that I ordered out My son just did a better job explaining the food in detail especially since a lot of my family was first timers nevertheless my family was pleased these are things I just observed on my own

Waiter was amazing!!! Calamari was a little chewy and over cooked. But the nachos with kfc was amazing and the rest of the food was amazing. Sauce was good. Place was a little cold which made my experience a little tainted.

We had three different tacos- beef, chicken and fish. All three were very tasty, however the fish tacos- which were “premium” had a lot less fish in them than the amount of protein in the either the beef or the chicken tacos. 1 beef and 1 chicken were a good dinner portion- 3 fish tacos was an ok portion.

It was my first visit, and I was very impressed. I loved the casual setting and the friendly staff. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced! I highly recommend the sesame fries and the fried sweet potatoes as starters. You can't go wrong with the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) taco. They also have plenty of non-fried options if you're aiming for a healthier meal :)

This was my first time visiting Midtown Atlanta and I stumbled upon Takorea. I am so glad that I did. I loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. I had the tofu bop and it was amazing.

I was highly disappointed. My friends and I chose to dine there because of the good reviews we'd read. I'm not sure why it got them as our food was room temperature at best. The taco portion was a joke. The quality of the food was not as good as a typical neighborhood Chinese spot. So not recommending it to anyone.
